Luke:

I bite my tongue but I wanna scream out

You could be with me now

But I end up telling you what you wanna hear,

But you’re not ready and it’s so frustrating

He treats you so bad and I’m so good to you it’s not fair.

And when the phone call finally ends

You say, “I’ll call you tomorrow at 10,”

And I’m stuck in the friend zone again and again

One call. The phone in front of Luke was the only thing he could focus on. It was only one call away. Did he have the courage to do it? Not at all. Chewing on his bottom lip, he stared at the Apple product for a few more seconds before grabbing it in a fast motion, opening it and already seeing your contact on his screen. Pressing call, he waited, one, two, and on almost the third beep, the sound of your voice were on the other side of the handset. “Y/N.” He swallowed, forgetting every word he had prepared. “Hey Luke.” Your voice was shining and he could imagine you smiling. “What are you doing?” He asked casually, his hand going from his neck to his hair. “I’m making myself ready for a trip to the city. Why?” You asked, resting the phone on your shoulder as you stood in front of the mirror with a curler in your left hand. “Oh, I just, wanted to talk you know.” He said in an awkward tone making you chuckle. “Are you going alone?” He asked, “No, Y/BF/N is joining me.” By the mention of your boyfriend, Luke’s heart sank a few pounds. Of course he was joining you, why did he even ask. “Sounds like it’s going to be a good trip. Clubbing?” He said in a bit more fake tone than what he had wanted it to be, mentally slapping himself. “Yeah I guess.” You shrugged. “I’ll call you tomorrow then?” You mumbled, giving yourself a smile in the mirror. “Yeah, sure.” He mumbled, looking over at Ashton who was sitting on the couch with Michael. “Bye.” Was the last thing you said before hanging up. “Guys we’re going to a club tonight.” Luke yelled towards the boys, “Why? So you can drool over Y/N in a short dress?” Michael chuckled making Ashton laugh, Luke blushing. “No. I just feel like we should go.” He shrugged trying to act casually. “Whatever you say.” Ashton wiggled his eyebrows at Luke.

Calum:

I dedicate this song to you,

The one who never sees the truth,

That I can take away your hurt, heartbreak girl.

Hold you tight straight through the day light,

I’m right here. When you gonna realize

That I’m your cure, heartbreak girl?

“One smile. That’s all I’m asking for.” Calum’s warm breath was hitting your cheek as the both of you were sitting on your bed, your knees pressed into your chest and your chin resting on your knees, Calum sticking his whole head into yours, trying to get some positivity out from. “No.” You mumbled with a raspy voice, your whole body tired and exhausted from the endless crying. “You are giving me a hard time here.” Cal grumbled, removing his face from you again. You gave him a small glare from the corner of your eye before looking in front again, not focusing on everything. It was like everything in your world had turned numb. Nothing felt real to you, and you didn’t want anything to feel real. “Can I at least cuddle you until you’ll smile? You look exhausted.” “”Fine.” You grumbled, letting go of your legs, stretching them out before lying down, Calum reaching his arm out for you to engulf you. “Happy.” You mumbled, laying your head on his chest, “Very.” He said with a small smile creeping on his lips. Calum’s hand started to make soothing circles on your back, making your eyelids fall close, your nose nuzzling more into his chest. There was something about being close to Calum that soothed you. But you didn’t dare to realize it. The breakup with Y/EX/N had a harder impact than what nobody had expected, and Calum could feel it. He didn’t know what to do about it. You were locked up in your own thoughts and he couldn’t get into it. Your breathing started to get heavier which put a smile on Calum’s lips, yet he still managed to get his phone out from his pocket. “Friendzone Level 2000.” He texted Luke, letting out a deep sigh and throwing his phone on the madras, looking down at your now sleeping form.

Michael:

You call me up,

It’s like a broken record

Saying that your heart hurts

That you never get over him getting over you.

“You look depressed.” Michael’s statement made you look up at the screen again, watching as Michael’s eyebrows furrowed, his face white from the light illuminating from his laptop. “I uhm-, I haven’t really been myself lately.” You admitted, scratching your upper arm with your right hand, “Y/N, I swear to god, are you still thinking of that idiot?” Michael startled you making your eyes go wide, “He’s not an idiot.” You defended in a timid voice, giving him a small glare through the screen. “Dear god..” He mumbled to himself, resting his head on his palm. It would always be like this, you would fall in love with another douchbag, and Michael would be engulfing the trash that appears afterwards. “Okay, Y/N listen, whatever he is, just.. Just forget about him. First of all, you’re so much more worth it than that. Dry off your eyes, go downstairs, put on one of your favourite movies and make yourself a nice cup of chocolate. I’m sorry I can’t be there for you right now. The boys and I are done here in LA next week, then, I’ll promise to come and give you a big cuddle. Sounds nice?” His smile and suggestions made a warm feeling go through your body, “Thanks Mikey. You really are one of the best friends you can have.” You said before giving him a small wave, pressing “End Call.” On your Skype. “Fucking prick.” Michael mumbled again, too himself. “Friendzone huh?” Calum smirked as Michael clasped his laptop down, giving the Kiwi a glare. “Don’t even start on it.” He groaned, placing the laptop on the floor beside his bed. “I’m not saying anything.. Otherwise than ouch.” Michael shook his head at Calum, grabbing the duvet he before sat at, covering his pale bare body. “If you won’t do a thing about it, I will.” Calum looked daring at Michael but he could only shrug, not having a clue of what to do in a situation like this.

Ashton:

And you end up crying

And I end up lying,

‘Cause I’m just a sucker for anything that you do.

And when the phone call finally ends,

You say, “Thanks for being a friend,”

And we’re going in circles again and again

Ashton was walking back and forth in his hotel room, his mind trying to register your sentences, every third word being replaced with a sob. “Wait so you officially did break up with him?” Ashton asked, switching his phone to place it against the other ear, his now free hand going through his hair. “Yeah. And I never think I’ve done something more hurtful than that.” Your sobs were a mix-up of hiccups and a hard time breathing which sounded even worse through the phone than what it probably was, yet it still managed to act like a knife going through Ashton’s chest, his lips forming a small pout as he could just imaging you sitting on your bed, clutching the phone in your hand, probably still having one of your now ex-boyfriend’s t shirts on. When you guys had started the phone call, you had sounded normal but just as soon as Ash had asked into Y/EB/N it was like world war three had started, and he couldn’t get you to stop. “Ash.. I don’t think I’ll ever find love again. Or even a boy who has enough interest in me to no break my heart.” Ashton’s mouth went dry at this point; his mind saying something, his heart saying another thing, yet no words came out from his mouth. He wanted to tell you how much you had always meant to him, how he had loved you since Freshman year. But could he get himself to do it? “Y/N, to be honest.” He started out, letting go off his curly locks. “I think you should take a break from boys. It could help you. And give you the feeling of independence again. You don’t need a boyfriend to make you happy.” His speech made him smack his palm against his forehead, a deep sigh coming from your lips. A small giggle came from you now, “Thank you so much Ash. You always know what to say. Thank you for being such a great friend.” At this point Ashton’s hand were going down his face, another sigh leaving his lips. “You’re welcome Y/N. Always.”
