Two servants, a man and a woman, stumbled in to the stables after me, their faces shocked at the sight of me. The both gave a respectful bow, and I couldn't help but blush. I must have looked insane to them.
"Thank you, thank you both." I said, looking up at them with a kind smile, "Do you think....you could give him a message for me? Briac I mean."
"Of course, Princess Rosemary." The woman agreed.
"Please," I corrected, "Just Rosemary. But could you ask him," I felt my cheeks flush and looked down to my lap as I finished, "If he could still love me tomorrow?"
The two servants exchanged a secret look and nodded, going off to share my message. I just continued to sit with the horse.
Looking up at the creature I muttered, "Future Queen of Bryni, sitting with a horse in nothing but a slip, her hair filled with hay, her cheeks stained with tears, and blood down her arms. I think there's still glass in them, too. But do you want know something? I was never supposed to be queen. After all, I have to older brothers. It would take a million years."
