Few days later
"Hey..." a voice echoed.
Richie opened his eyes, and saw Eddie with two ice creams.
"I bought one for you too..." he said.
He got up from the grass where he was lying on, and got closer to his best friend, he grabbed the ice cream and licked it.
"Vanilla..." he grinned. "How did you-"
"I'm your best friend, you dumbass" Eddie said, bumping Richie. "C'mon, let's go"
Eddie and Richie both started walking, eating their vanilla ice creams.
"Why did you do that, Eddie?"
"Wha-" Eddie frowned. "Why're you asking that?"
"I don't... know... sorry, I didn't mean to... didn't mean to be rude."
"Hey..." Eddie stopped "just wanted to see you smile."
Richie couldn't react to that answer.
"You've been like this for days, I thought this could light your mood a little bit."
Richie hugged him. "And you did. Thanks..."
"You don't need to... We're gonna hang out at Bill's basement tonight. Wanna come?"
"Eddie...I..."
"I know" Eddie said. "I know..."
"I'll try." Richie continued, giving a small smile.
Eddie grinned, and hugged Richie again "And I know you'll make it, Tozier."
Eddie got on his bike, and went away.
Richie sighed, looked at the ice cream and smiled. "I'll try, Eds..."
