R+E - Reddie Oneshots

B r o w n i e s

Richie was coming back from school, when he was surprised by a jerk, but not one that let him fall, it was more like a failed attempt to hug.

He looked back, startled, thinking that it would be yet another provocation of Henry Bowers and his gang, but breathed a sigh of relief at seeing his friend, Eddie, embarrassed by what had happened, his face was red, as if a shy person did something extroverted and quickly regretted of doing it.

"S-sorry..." Eddie said, smiling shyly. "I didn't mean to do this..."

"No problem..." Richie said, adjusting his backpack and then his glasses. "It's good to see you, Eds."

Eddie gave an almost silent growl and said "You know I don't like this nickname..."

"Sorry... I forgot..." Richie said, smiling.

They were both standing, staring at each other.

"So ... Will we just stand here or shall we walk?"

"Oh yeah..."

Both started walking, side to side.

As he walked, Eddie picked up his backpack, opened it, and took out a small package, and put the backpack on his back.

"I-I made these for you..." Eddie said, handing over to Richie a small box of brownies.

Richie smiled, took the box and said "Thanks..." kissing Eddie's cheek. Eddie quickly blushed.

"I.... uh... if.... If it tastes bad, I-I'm sorry... This is m-my fffirst time doing this." Eddie stuttered.

Richie took a bite of one the brownies and widened his eyes.

He looked at Eddie, and kept eating the brownie.

"Is it... is it good?"

"Yeah, it's delicious!"

Richie picked a brownie and offered Eddie "you should try... The guy who made this is really talented..."

Eddie smiled, took the brownie and ate it.

"I'm proud of myself." He said.

After a few minutes, they were finally on Richie's house street.

Eddie's hand suddenly touched Richie's. Richie looked at Eddie, shy, smiled and took his hand.

He got closer to Eddie's ear and whispered. "I already knew ... I love you too."

Eddie looked at Richie, with tears in his eyes, It seemed Richie had taken a heavy weight on his back, he put his hand on his face and gave him a kiss.

Richie hugged Eddie and said "shh... Calm down... Now you don't need to be so shy, honey... I'm here." He said, kissing Eddie's cheek.

~time skip (one year)~

Eddie was in Richie's house, snuggling with Richie, his head was on Richie's chest and he was stroking Eddie's hair.

Eddie suddenly got up and went to the kitchen, grabbed a box and handed to Richie.

"Happy one year, honey..." He said.

Richie looked at the box and smiled, he got up, took the box and kissed Eddie.

It was the same box that one year earlier, started Richie and Eddie's relationship
