Eddie looked so excited today, I love to see him like that.
We bought a new apartment recently, actually, I hid this for months just to make a surprise. It was his dream, and it was very well fulfilled.
He deserved that, after all his hard work on his job and on our relationship, I had to do something for him.
Our new apartment was not that far from the old house, and it was well located, everything was close, grocery store, library, Eddie's job. I gotta admit, it was a good choice, and it was perfect for us.
The only bad thing is that they don't allow animals, unfortunately, but that didn't matter to him, so that's okay.
He was looking at the new bedroom with all the new furniture.
"I... Rich... Damn, I'm out of words" he said.
"You don't have to, your face says it all."
He giggled and got closer to me.
"I remember walking down this street and imagining how living in an apartment was, and now... I'm the one living in here." He said.
"I'm glad you're happy, honey. You deserve it."
"No... WE deserve it, remember..." He said, showing the ring. "We are one now."
"Oh yeah... How didn't I remember?" I said, kissing his forehead. "Next step... Planning our wedding..."
Is there anything better than starting a new life with someone you love? I don't think so...
Damn...
I must be the luckiest man alive.
