You had recently been disowned by your somewhat prestigious family on the edge of Rohan, simply because you would not act ladylike enough for your parents. You quickly became a Ranger, called "Kite" by the folks you passed on the road, the codename derived from the way you simply floated around Middle Earth, as if on the breeze. You soon, by chance, met a fellow Ranger you called Strider- and later, when he trusted you enough to reveal his real name, Aragorn. He could tell you were young, new to the Ranger life, and so stuck with you for a while, keeping you safe and teaching you the ways of the wild.

Aragorn, to his own surprise, grew rather attached to you and stayed by your side much longer than he really needed to. One evening, he made stew out of rabbit meat, vegetables, and herbs, all sourced from the nature around. He made sure to pay extra attention to this meal, as he found himself wanting more and more to impress you. When you both sat by the fire to eat, he paused, looking over the top of his bowl to catch your reaction. You took a bite and grinned at him, exclaiming enthusiastically around a mouthful of carrot and rabbit,

"It's really good!"

Aragorn couldn't help but smile back and resume eating, paying not much mind to the sudden warmth in his heart from your praise.
