I heard, that you're settled down
That you found a girl and you're, married now

Somehow, every time he steps out of his apartment, he ends up in her front yard, staring into the new life she has. It rips through his heart like the glass shards did to his skin the day she left him. He regrets it everyday, losing the only light in his life but he finds satisfaction in knowing that her husband is treating her better than he ever had. He lowers his cap and leaves, wiping the tears that land delicately on his cheeks, disappearing with his dreams of spending the rest of his life with her.

As he walks ignorantly, whistling a low tune under his breath, his mind replays the time she caught him outside.

"Taehyung, what are you doing here?" He chuckled, eyes red from crying and lack of sleep. If only she knew how much he missed her and how badly he wanted to turn back time. If only. He left without answering her question, not wanting to hurt her more than he already had.

He lifts his head to see a girl making her way towards him, tightening her jacket around her. She steps into the light, worryingly checking his face.

"Hi, Y/N." She sighs heavily, grabbing his trembling hand and pulling him into the coffee shop where she works. He doesn't object, finding comfort in the way her thumb mindlessly draws soothing circles on the skin. She leads him to the back, making him sit on the chair as she takes the table.

"You went there again, didn't you?" He nods, finding no use in lying, she'd figure it out anyway. Y/N stands, cupping his face in her hands, just as she'd done when she found him crying in the lobby of the apartment complex.

"You need to stop. You can find someone else, Tae. She's not the only one out there."

He rests his head on her chest, pulling her in for a hug. She presses a kiss to his forehead, hugging him back.

He'll find someone else like her, maybe even better. A soft smile makes its way onto his face as he imagines a new life for himself with Y/N, the one who picked up his broken pieces.
