"Y/N, get behind me now!"

Your breathing gets heavy as you turn around to beg Taehyung to let it go. His gaze is locked on the man with the gun aimed at you.

"I said, get behind me. It's my job to protect you, not the other way around."

You feel him shove you behind him as he walks towards the man, cracking his knuckles as he does so. Your feet don't want to move to stop him although your mind is telling you to grab him.

"Taehyung, no! Please! Come back!"

You scream and cover your eyes when there is a gunshot. Peeking through your fingers, you see Taehyung holding the man in a choke hold while the gun is on the floor.

"Y/N, call the police."

You do as he says and call the cops, watching as Taehyung begins to get slow in his movements.

"Tae? Did you get hurt?"

He shakes his head, eyes focusing on the ground beneath him. His vision gets blurry as he stumbles forward a bit. You quickly grab him by the shoulders and gasp when he winces in pain. You lift your hands up to see your right one covered in blood.

"You were shot..."

He smiles at you before collapsing in your arms just as the police pull up.
