Spencer's POV

I had hope. In her embrace, feeling her in my arms finally I had hope. It's small, but I know now that I have a chance to explain myself to her. I will finally be able to have a chance with her when the time is right. She hasn't completely given up on me yet. A smile graces my lips as I breathe her in.

"I will always try my best to keep you safe." I whisper. She pulls back at that and gives a small barely there smile. It's small but it's a  start. We turn and exit the room to find Duke and Logan on the couch watching what appears to be Gilligan's Island.

"OH MY GOSH!" Grace exclaims and rushes over and plops down between the men and giggles while singing the opening song. We all look at her, my smile is huge with wonder while both Logan and Duke look at her with amusement. "I LOVE this show!" She shouts while I shake my head and head in and begin to eat my breakfast at the dining table while watching the TV with them from my position. In all honesty I'm watching her and not the show.

Soon my phone rings, checking it I see that it's the captain. "Hey Cap, what's going on?"

"Spencer... I just was informed that Grace's mother has been murdered. They have been trying to get a hold of Grace, but with everything going on they weren't able to. They did however inform me that they were able to notify Grace's older sister... They did say they will allow us there to investigate, they are going to let us come over and go through her home and see if we can gather any evidence in regards to our case."

I dreaded having to tell Grace. She has lost her father, learned that her father wasn't the man who she thought he was and now her mother is no more. "Did you say a sister? She has never brought one up, even long before when we were talking online." I whisper into the phone. "Anything else Cap?"

"We found something at Mel's hideout... She had a diary there from when she was a kid... She spoke about the things he did to her in it. We aren't sure if they are just fantasy or real but we are looking into finding that out. You may want to talk with her about that then, see if she knows about the sibling."

"Alright, thank you Cap." Once he hangs up I walk over to the living-room and shut the TV off and I'm met with angry shouts.

"It was to the best part! Gilligan just ruined their chances of getting off the Island by breaking the camera lens of the space probe. I want to see how the professor is going to fix it." Grace shouts.

Smiling a small smile at her I feel the weight of what I'm about to tell her. "Well Grace, I need to tell you some things..."

I can see the worry in her eyes. "Have they caught him?"

"I'm sorry but no... The Captain did however find out some not so great news... Grace... Your mother was murdered."

She gasps out as tears brimmed her eyes. "She wasn't lying." Grace whispers.

"What do you mean?"

"Mel..." A sob breaks out as she lets the tears fall and her hand goes up to grip Logan's arm. "Mel told me that her and Shane murdered my mother."

"Wait? Mel said that her and Shane murdered her?"

"Yes... While they were torturing me, they informed me that they killed here while they told me all the things about my father."
