Thank you for being patient!

Where (Y/N) is in love with Yuri, but he doesn't feel the same way..))

"Hey Yuri!" I chirped happily as the familiar dark haired boy walked into the ice rink. "Hey (Y/N).." He said quietly and chuckled as he grabbed a pair of skates and headed out to the ice, "you're here fairly early." He stated as he sat down and began to tie his laces.

I nodded and leant over the counter, "I love watching you skate Yuri, you know that by now!" I giggled and watched as he took his jacket off and took a step onto the ice. "For some reason you do anyhow." He said and shrugged.

I watched as he skated across the ice, he didn't even have to be doing anything to look amazing in my eyes. I've loved him for 6 years, I've been there through everything he has went through during his skating career. I always tried my best to help him through whatever he was going through, and I decided that I was going to confess to him today.

Unfortunately the bell at the front desk tolled as I went to speak, I frustratedly ran to the front counter and helped out the family that had just come in, I handed them their skates and smiled as they headed to the rink. I skipped back and looked over the counter to call Yuri over.

"Y-" As I went to call for him, I noticed a girl standing at the barrier talking to him. She had brown curly hair, and bright green eyes with freckles across her nose. As she and Yuri spoke they laughed with one another and Yuri's cheeks were blushing a bright shade of red. I felt my heart plummet and I grasped my shirt over my chest as I gently sat behind the counter.

I felt....nothing, my everything felt numb. My eyes began to water and I covered my mouth to stop any sound escaping my lips. My tears fell from my eyes and hit the floor leaving an imprint in the fabric. To see Yuri so happy with that girl, it made my heart ache....but everything else felt numb.

He looked so happy talking with her, who was she? She looked really pretty....her laugh was contagious as much as her smile was. Now I was second guessing telling Yuri my feelings. I bit down on my thumb and attempted to calm myself down, I wiped my eyes dry and took in a deep breath as I stood back up and turned back to the rink.

Yuri was taking off his skates, the girl stood watching him with a smile. I didn't have the guts to talk to her or him, instead I looked away and went to the front counter to put skates back on the shelves. After 5 minutes, Yuri came to the front counter and handed me the skates with a happy glow about him. "Here you are, thanks (Y/N)!" As I reached for them my hands gently grazed over his warm fingers.

He turned back to the girl and offered her his arm as they left the rink with happy smiles. I stood there, a pained expression over my face as I dropped the skates from my hands and watched as they hit the floor. 'I wanted to make him happy,' I thought to myself as I felt the tears gently welling in my eyes once more.

I looked to the ceiling and gently leant against the counter while I smiled sadly, 'then if she makes him happy...'

For the next few months, I watched as Yuri and the girl came to the rink everyday for Yuri to train. She would sit and wait for him, watching him with the same smile I used to. And I watched as they left together with the same smiled planted on their lips. And every time they left I cried a silent tear as I quietly put Yuri's skates back to the shelves.

'He's happy....'

              -Time Skip 1 Year-

We invite you to celebrate......

                         Hope to see you there......

As I sat in a casual dress of light blue with the other guests I waited with my legs crossed. I kept looking at my watch, until suddenly music started to play from the organ in the corner of the room. As everyone stood up and looked down the aisle, walking down it was Yuri in a sharp looking suit with a golden ring around his left finger.

On his left arm with a diamond ring gleaming on her left finger was the woman that Yuri ended up marrying. The one that would come to the rink with him, the one with the stunning green eyes, adorable freckles and brown hair.

As I stood, Yuri looked to me and flashed a stunning smile toward me. As I bit on my lip, I nodded at him and felt my tears well up in my eyes. When the music ceased, we all sat down.

I looked up to the front of the room to see Yuri holding hands with his beloved with a love sick smile across his face as he looked down at the stunning girl in the white gown as she held a flower bouquet in her dainty hands.

I smiled in pain as I cried a flow of tears, I gently wiped them with my handkerchief and thought to myself quietly.

'Would things have been different if I told you...?'

"You may now kiss the bride..."

'Or would it have risked all of your happiness that exists...?'

I cried into my handkerchief as Yuri kissed his newly wed wife on the lips with a smile, a gleaming tear of happiness fell from his cheek while tears of sadness fell from mine.
