"Do I look good?"

"Yes (Y/N)-"

"Is my hair fine?"

"Yes (Y/N)-"

"What about my teeth? Are they nice and white?" I asked as I pushed my lips up so Yuri could see my teeth. He just shook his head and laughed. "(Y/N) you are overthinking this too much. My grandfather is not a judgemental man."

I knew Yuri was trying to reassure me, and I was even more nervous now. I had never met Yuri's grandfather before. But Yuri always talked about him as if he was his favourite real life superheroes.

I quickly fixed my (F/C) sundress that ended just above my knees. I grabbed my phone and purse and took in a small breath. "I can't do this..." I mumbled to myself and heard Yuri as he chuckled from behind me.

"Like I told you- you are overthinking it way too much." He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and nuzzled into the crook of my neck. "If I love you, which I do, I know that Grandpa will love you as well." Yuri gently turned me towards him and smiled as he leant down and pecked my lips gently.

"Lets go~" He said and took me by the hand as we left his house.

"Yuri....are you sure that he wants to meet me?" I asked as we stood out the front of the restaurant. Yuri chuckled and gently rubbed my head with a smile. "Nervous little kitten?" He asked and opened the door walking in. I pouted and walked in after him. "You don't have to put it like that-"

"Yurochka!" I heard a gruff voice say and a oldened man embrace Yuri tightly just as Yuri did to him. "Grandpa! I'm so glad to see you again. Here let me introduce my beautiful girlfriend, (Y/N)." Yuri turned around and stretched his hand out to me which I took gently and stood by is side.

"H-Hello. It's nice to meet you, I'm
(Y/N)." I gently held out my hand and mentally slapped myself at the same time.

'Yuri just told him your name idiot!' I thought to myself and watched as Yuri's grandfather looked to my hand and then laughed as he opened his arms and stepped forward. "No need to be so formal, I'm Nikolai, nice to meet you at last lass." Nikolai embraced me in a tight hug and I giggled as I nearly got squeezed to death.

"Ah, yes thank you." I said as he set me back down and Yuri gave me a small nod as we all sat down at a table. I sat beside Yuri, and on our opposite side sat Nikolai with a wide smile. "So, how long have you two been together?" He asked and Yuri smiled as he looked at me from the corner of his eye. "Almost a year?" He asked and I gave a small nod.

"Yeah that sounds about right. I still remember how you looked when you first entered my rink as well. So nervous." I teased and Yuri blushed looking off to the side as Nikolai laughed. "That sounds like Yurochka alright, always nervous in new places!"

"Both of you stop. It was a new country. I didn't really know much of the language yet either!" Yuri shouted in his defence. I giggled and shrugged gently as I watched Nikolai go to speak. "Yurochka...you were always a nervous kid. You know that as well don't you?"

Nikolai sent Yuri a small glance before Yuri sunk into his chair a little bit. "It was all so new to me..." He repeated gently before sighing, "I was even more nervous because of (Y/N)...."

I blinked at him blankly before feeling my cheeks light up gently. "I have no idea why either- I was very approachable." I told him and saw Yuri shake his head. "That's what you think....you were really...beautiful...."

- Flashback - Yuri's POV -

"Yuri! Quickly, get in here. You're cutting into valuable practice time!" Yavok shouted to me from the rink and I sighed before walking into the rink with my hands in my jacket pockets. As I looked up I caught a glance of one of the most cutest girls I've ever seen.

-wait, no. Not cute at all, one of the most beautiful girls I'd ever seen in my life. Her beautiful shining (E/C) eyes seemed to be shinning in the dim light. Her soft-looking (H/C) hair was gently moving behind her as she skated through the rink with a bright smile.

I watched as she skidded to a halt and looked back to me with a dashing smile. "Oh- you must be Yuri Plisetsky? Hey! I'm (Y/N)!" She gently held out her hand to shake and I felt my cheeks begin to heat up. "Yeah. See you around." I mumbled and quickly turned around before disappearing into the corridors.

-Present Time - (Y/N)'s POV -

As Yuri explained his first encounter of me I felt my own cheeks heating up with the colour of the darkest ruby in the world. I wish Yuri had of told me that earlier, and now I just felt so nervous.

I didn't know why, perhaps it was because I loved Yuri and didn't want to loose him. Perhaps it was because I was finding this out right now- in front of his grandfather. Nikolai sat there with a smile on his lips as his gaze twitches in between us both.

"nastoyashchaya lyubov" He said out loud in Russian and Yuri stiffened before gently releasing his tension and chuckling. "Perhaps..." he mumbled and I sat their in utter confusion as to what Nikolai had said.

- Time Skip -

After our dinner and few drinks for conversation, we all walked outside and sent Nikolai on his way. "It was wonderful to see you again Yurochka..." He said as he embrace his grandson in his arms with a smile before turning towards me.

"And you as well, (Y/N)." I stepped forward and hugged him while letting out a soft chuckle. "Look after him for me..." Nikolai gently whispered into my ear before pulling out of the embrace and hoping into the taxi. "See you both later!" He shouted as he waved and the taxi drove off.

I stood beside Yuri and gently linked my arm with his as we watched the taxi drive off. "So- what did your grandfather say in Russian during dinner?" I asked him and just listened to him chuckled before he began to walk down the pathway with me clinging to his arm.

"What? 'nastoyashchaya lyubov'? Oh....that just means..." He stopped walking and turned to me with a precious smile before leaning down and kissing my lips gently.

"It means 'True Love'..." He whispered against my lips ever so gingerly.

((I totally used google translate to figure out that phrase in Russian. So if it is wrong- it ain't my fault! Let's just blame google~
