9: The missing piece in the puzzle

Steve's pov
Ring ring ring
"If you marry detective Williams, then 5 people will be killed." "You son of a bitch, listen to me. I will kill you if you lay a hand on him, and I will find you and nothing can protect you from me." Then the line went dead. "Son of a bitch!" I had gone out and bought the perfect rings. I was planning on proposing to Danno, tomorrow it was our one year anniversary. I guess Wofat had seen me buy the rings, because that's when he called. I can not propose to Danny knowing that 5 people who did absolutely nothing will be killed over my happiness.
Their one year anniversary
Today's the day, our one year anniversary already. It was supposed to be a big day, but I couldn't pick my happiness over 5 human lives. I hadn't gotten much sleep, I just tossed and turned all night. I got out of bed at 1, I just couldn't sleep. I went out to the back yard, I sat out on the lawn chair just starring at the stars and the ocean in front of me. The waves are usually very calming, but tonight they were just super annoying. Danny woke up a few hours later, he came out and sat down with me. "I thought you left again." I could tell that thought made him sad, even though I couldn't see his face he was sad. "Danno, I'm not going to just leave you again. We have a life together, it's no longer only about me, and it's no longer only about you. It's about us, we are a little ohana. You, Charlie, Grace, buddy and me. I love you." "I love you too Steve. Come on let's get some sleep." " I can't sleep Danny, I'm not tired." "Fine lets go cuddle, and we can talk in there." "How did I get so lucky?" "You are just a lucky man Steven McGarrett." I go to stand up and he grabs my face, we share a quick kiss and head inside.
After their anniversary dinner
We were driving home in Danny's car. When we notice that a black SUV has been following us, that's when another car drives straight into the drivers side. I could hardly move, "Danny are you alright? Danny?" "Steve I'm fine, are you okay?" "Yes, and you're sure your fine?" "Yes Steven." That's when we hear someone walking up to the car, we didn't have our guns because we weren't working today. "Steve, detective Williams. How was your dinner?" "I swear if you so much as look at him the wrong way I will hunt you down, and I will kill you." "Now Steve, why would I hurt detective Williams? He hasn't done anything to me, but I want information and you have it." As Wofat is now pointing a gun at me. "Detective I think you should just remain seated this gun has a very touchy trigger. And as for you Steve, I think you should come with me. Or we could do this the hard way." I just look at him and Danny, then back at Wofat. "I'll go but first call Danny a paramedic. Or you will have to fight me to make me leave him." Wofat calls for the paramedics and I willingly go with Wofat.
A few hours later
I don't remember much, besides getting in the car with Wofat and someone hitting me over the head. I woke up in a white room, it's like a padded room. When a clip of my father, my mother, my sister and I at the beach. I was so young, I was too focused on that to notice the gas being put into the room. It was something, like a chemical. I started to feel tired, the next thing I remember is hitting the ground. When suddenly I see a figure walking towards me, as I fall asleep completely. To be continued
