22: The Scared in the Evening

2 days till the wedding
"Steve, Danny just leave you don't need to be at work." Kono and Chin both told us as we were currently working on some different cases. "Alright, fine if you don't want us here we can leave. Come on Steve." I look back at them "Are you sure you don't need us?" Chin replied "You two are getting married in 2 days just go home take it easy and enjoy being together."
At home
Danny, the kids, our mothers, and I were sitting in the living room just talk about wedding things. I felt Danny kiss my cheek, I turn and kiss Danny's lips. Just a quick peek. "Can you two just get married already?" "What do you mean? We get married in 2 days." Danny's mom then says "You kids go outside and play." Shit that's never a good sign. A few minutes pass "You two are just constantly having sex. And marriage cuts down on that." Well this is uncomfortable "Um.... Well Danny this is a good time for me to check on the kids." I give him a quick kiss before standing up to leave. "Wait I'll go with you." Well Danny's mom was not having that "No Daniel you will sit down, we were in the middle of a conversation."
Danny's point of view
"Fine" I sit back down across from Steve's and my mother. "Well Danny all I'm saying is you two are very affectionate." I gave her a weird look. "Affectionate?" Steve's mom finally cuts in "Yes, you two kiss all the time and are always holding hands. Or you two are doing this or that." Are they both being homophobic? "Well what's wrong with that? Couples do that all the time." "Well Daniel yes they do, but only couples who just started dating. Not people who are about to get married." Thankfully Steve and the kids just walked in.
Steve's point of view
"Hey look who's back, the kids." Danny smiled at me, well. "What did I miss?" Danny just shook his head no. "Well Danny, the kids and I are going swimming. Come on Danny." He gave me a are you serious look. "Do I have to??" I just laughed and walked up stairs.
Later that night
"Well Daniel I'm taking the girls to the store." He just sat there and nodded his head for a minute "Well I guess that's fine, but they need to be back before midnight." Danny then adds on "No make overs." The girls laugh as they go to leave he repeated himself "I'm serious no make ov" slam I started laughing "They just slammed the door in the middle of your sentence." He looked at me for a minute "Charlie! Come here!" We heard little foot steps running in the hall, then down the stairs and finally through the living room. He walked into the kitchen where Danny and I were. "What Danno?" He said with his little smile on his face. "Take Steve upstairs to play before I hit him." Charlie and I looked at each other before both saying. "Danno that's not very nice to hit people." Charlie and I both laughed.
Half an hour later
We quietly walked down the stairs towards the living room. We could hear walking in the kitchen, I checked to make sure my gun was loaded fully. We get against the doorway by the kitchen. I quietly say "On 3,okay?" He nods his head. I hope up three fingers and count down. After one we jump in the Kitchen and start firing, we hear Danny yell "Hey! Oh! Oh! Hey!" After a minute we both run out of bullets. I high five Charlie and Charlie says "We got you Danno." "Yeah, yeah you did." He walks over by me and quietly says "Are you done bothering me?" I smile and kiss him "Yes, can you help pick up the nerf darts?" He sighs and walks around and starts picking them up with us.
An hour later
I told Danno like half an hour ago Charlie and I were going up to the store. Well we did, but to get masks to scare him with. Well I could tell he was in our room watching tv, so I knocked on the door. Then ran to the side of the house, we could see him open the door look around, then head back in. Well then we went to the back door, and knocked heading to the side to hide. He checked again.
Half an hour later
He finally came outside and looked around, and that's what we were waiting for. He left the door open, now we head in. We quickly went in before he could see us, Charlie and I both hid. I hide by the front door in the living room, and Charlie hid in the closet. All the lights were off downstairs so he couldn't see us when he walked in.
A few minutes later
Finally he walked back inside shutting, and locking the door. He started walking towards the stairs, without seeing me. I reached out and grabbed him, he started struggling. We fell on the chair by the door in the living room. I lift the mask and say "Danno what's wrong?" He looked pissed "What the hell is the matter with you! You son of a bitch. Give me that damn mask." He started walking towards the closet where Charlie. He opened the closet, and jumped out and grabbed his legs. "Son of a bitch!" He had to just sit for a minute. "Steven I swear if the girls jump out somewhere I will cut off your balls." I laugh at him being so ridiculous. Charlie looked at me, "Uncle Steve, what balls is Danno talking about?" I opened my mouth to answer then quickly closed it shaking my head no. "Charlie um well Danno care to fill him in? Because I'm not going to." Danny gave me this pissed look "Charlie come on let's go watch a movie. Uncle Steve needs to go sit in his timeout room." He walked up the stairs with Charlie. "Come on Danno it was a joke. I love you!" He stopped and looked at me "I hate you." I shook my head and he continued walking "That's a lie you love me." "Goodnight Steven."
A few hours later
The girls are home and in bed now, and I just put Charlie in bed. Now let's see if Danny let's me sleep in my bed tonight. I quietly walk in the bedroom, and tiptoe to the bed. I lay down under the covers and pull Danny into my chest. "Is Skyler asleep?" I kiss his head before saying "Yes, and I thought you were asleep." He shook his head and rolled so he was on top of me. "Good, that means you and I can have some time." I smile "I like where this is going." I say before rolling so I was on top. I quickly get up and run to the door "Where are you going?" Danny asks as I lock the door. "Just to be safe, now where were we?" I say before jumping back on top of him.
