Chapter 18- Lab fight

Exactly like he did with Louie, Kane grabbed Jack and pinned him to the wall. Unlike Louie, Jack smiled as if nothing had happened. "What are you doing to Fauna?" snarled Kane. Jack smiled wider "Just taking samples, you know, blood, muscle, tissue, the usual" "Then why is there a thick dotted line right down the middle of her body?!" Kane shouted. But Jack didn't reply, he didn't get the chance. About twenty Minjas burst into the lab at that very moment. None of the group flinched. "Looks like it's time to go into fighting mode" said Kane. Then Kane punched Jack right in the head and he collapsed, blood starting to seep out of his head. That was Jack out of the way; now to focus on the Minjas.

A Minja ran towards Kane. Kane leapt up and shot out his legs, hitting the Minja right in the chest. The Minja bent over, wheezing and coughing, then Kane tripped him up and he fell to the floor. Three Minjas came for Flame and Monsoon. Monsoon slaped his hands over one of the Minjas' ears, bursting his eardrums, then he karate- chopped the Minjas wrists. Monsoon felt a crunch as the wrists broke. Flame set herself alight, becoming a huge fireball, and ran towards the other two Minjas, hoping to burn them. But the Minjas dodged out of the way. Monsoon stood in front of them to distract them, then Flame came up behind the Minjas and banged their heads together, knocking them out. Another Minja had a tight grip on Grim, pushing him towards another Minja, who had his fist up ready to punch Grim in the face. But Grim stamped on the Minjas' toes as hard as he could. The Minja let go of Grim and grabbed his foot. Grim then kicked him in the ankle; the ankle snapped, causing the Minja to fall over. The second Minja dashed forward, but Grim dodged and the second Minja fell over the first. He smashed his head on the floor and soon he was unconscious.

"Flame!" cried Kane, just as a Minja punched him in the nose, breaking it "Melt Fauna's bonds, but be careful not to burn Fauna!" Flame nodded. After she sent another Minja crashing to the floor, Flame ran to the operating table. But Jack had woken up; he stood there, blood streaming from his nose and two black eyes. Flame stood, frozen with fright, but Kane came over and kicked him round the head, sending Jack sprawling to the floor once more. Kane looked round, he could see the determination in Grim's eyes, he could tell Grim was fighting for his sister. He looked so...cute sometimes. But the distraction had left Kane vulnerable. Suddenly, something hard collided with Kane's head and he collapsed. Looking up, he could see the blurry image of a Minja standing over him. Without thinking, Kane kicked the Minja in the nuts.

Then, Flame cried "I've done it! I've melted the clasps!" This woke Kane up a bit. He staggered to his feet and stumbled over to the table, still dizzy from the knock on the head. He picked up Fauna's body, and shouted "Fauna's free! Retreat! Retreat!" to the rest of the group. The group heard him and ran towards the door. But, Grim upset a test tube full of chemicals. It fell to the ground and smashed, spilling the chemicals everywhere. Somehow, they got mixed up in a mini fire that had been left by Flame's fireball. This ignited the Flame, creating a gigantic fireball much bigger than Flame could create. "RUUUUUUNNN!" screamed Kane. The group ran faster. The fireball swallowed the whole lab, taking the Minjas and Jack with it. Then it started swallowing the corridor.

As he ran, Kane heard Fauna whisper "Wh- what's happening?" Kane said nothing. He just closed his eyes and ran a little faster. "What about Louie?" asked Flame "He'll find his own way out. But, he's a Minja. I wouldn't be sorry if he died" Kane replied. They dashed through the building. Finally they came out into fresh air. With a huge BOOM! the building exploded. The shock pushed the group to the ground. Panting and gasping, the group looked at the burning rubble that used o be the prison. Kane and Monsoon sent wind and water flying towards the flames, and soon the flames were out.

Kane did a quick head count. Everyone was there. Then he lay Fauna down. "Report!" he cried, just as he had heard Fauna shout after a fight "Report!" "Aching arms, a black eye, but nothing serious"  Grim said. "I think I have a broken wrist. Broke it when I smashed the Minjas' heads together" said Flame. "A few bruises, blood coming out of my nose, nothing serious" said Monsoon. "Wrists and ankles hurt like hell, tired and grumpy" whispered Fauna. Kane was whinded and had a broken nose. The group collapsed to the ground to rest. Another bloody battle, but they were used to it.
