If you have been reading these past few chapters thinking: I really want to hear about the Minjas well, your wish has just been granted.
"Nothing's happening!" cried Kane, sending a huge gust of wind swirling towards the flames. Monsoon spotted a river, hundreds of feet below. He focused on it, and soon saw the familiar swirl as the water rose up towards Monsoon. But before he could guide it towards the flames, a huge helicopter flew out from the flames "DUCK!" cried Kane "Where?" asked Monsoon, looking around "No! Duck!" cried Kane, pushing Flame's head down just in time. The chopper whizzed over their heads, the bottom of it just skimming their heads as it went by.
"That was close" said Kane breathlessly.
"There's another one!" Flame cried. I looked, yes, another chopper had come out of the flames and came to hover next to the first one. Then came another, and another and another. Soon there were six choppers around us. I then came to the conclusion that choppers are like buses; you need one, six come along at once. The choppers had formed a tight ring around the three of us. I was surprised the blades didn't hit each other. There was only one way to go. "Down!" I screamed to Flame and Grim "Down! Down! Down!" We fell down once again towards the earth but the choppers started to follow us. Three followed us and three flew in Monsoon and Kane's direction "Kane! Monsoon!" Flame cried "No time to go to them now!" I shouted as we dived through the branches. We landed and as soon as we did we jumped up and ran for out lives. We could hear the choppers landing and the Minjas poring out. With horrible screeches and shouts, they clambered after us. They swung through the branches and ran just like monkeys on all fours.
"Keep running!" I shouted, pushing Flame and Grim forward "I'll try and fight them off!"
"Fauna, you don't have a chance!" cried Grim "They'll kill you!"
"They won't. The lab want us alive, remember?"
"I know that!" said Grim "But they could still hurt you!"
"I know," I said sadly "but do something for me will you?"
"Of course sis!" said Grim
"Tell the spirits this, and use these exact words: "Find Monsoon and Kane. When you find them, tell them that Fauna is trying to fight off the Minjas, but DON'T come after her. Go to the town on the other side of the forest and meet Grim and Flame in Tesco's. Got all that? Kane knows where that Tesco's is." Grim nodded "I think so" he said. I gave Grim and Flame a hug "You know that Tesco's right?" they nodded "Good, now go!" I hissed. They ran off, and I turned to face the Minjas that had caught up with me. "Now then," I said to the Minjas "Lets get down to business".
