I took a step back from Louie. I just couldn't believe it, Louie was a... "Your a..." I said, pointing a shaking finger at Louie "Your a...Minja!" Louie sighed. "I know, I know what I am but, trust me," he said, taking a step towards me "I'm not like the others". "Of course you're like them!" I shouted, backing away "You're the very creatures who try to kill us!" I carried on backing away, until I couldn't go back any more. Damn! I'd backed myself into a corner. Damn damn damn! Louie kept walking towards me. I pressed by back right back against the wall, fear and anger filling my heart. Then, Louie grabbed my forearms, pulled me close to him and...wait for it...kissed me.
EWWW! EWWW EWWW EEWWWW!!!
Without thinking, I punched him in the nose. I felt a crack as his nose broke. Louie stumbled back, shocked. Very gingerly, he cupped his hands around his nose. I saw the blood seep through the gaps of his fingers. I was shocked too. I looked at my fist as if it wasn't my own. For some reason, I couldn't believe what I had done. I've punched many Minjas before, but was different. I couldn't think why. It was probably because Louie was a 14 year old boy, and Minjas were usually adults. Finally, I broke the shocked silence "I...I didn't mean to..." I stammered. Louie gasped in pain "That's fine. I've just never had a broken nose before. It bloody hurts!". I was stunned. He...forgave me? Normal Minjas would have punched me back twice as hard but Louie...forgave me?! He really was different from them after all.
"Do you need a tissue?" I asked. Louie shook his head. Then, he let out the loudest whisle I've ever heard anywhere, ever. I glared at him with envy. I'd tried for ages to whistle like that. From under the bed, a tortoiseshell cat appeared. It walked up to Louie and he bent down so the cat could reach his nose. Then the cat licked his nose. Eww. But, as I watched, the blood disappeared. His nose was healing! "How?..." I said. Louie smiled "That's my cat, Tibbs. She was experimented on too. She has the power to heal wounds with her tongue" he said, stroking Tibbs round the ears as he spoke. I walked over and stroked he too. She loved attention. "So.." I said softly. Then I shouted "WHY THE HELL DID YOU KISS ME??!!" Louie was startled, but he said "I was...trying to calm you down..." "WHAT THE HELL?..." I started. But then, we heard a key turn in a lock. The door opened and a Minja stood in the doorway. "Oh, hello" I said, trying to sound calm, but failing "What do you want?" Without saying a word, the Minja walked over to me and tied my hands behind my back. "Hey!" I cried "What are you doing?". Still saying nothing, the Minja pushed me out of the door and locked it. Leaving Fauna-snogging-Louie and his Weirdo-cat-healer-thing behind.
