Chapter Eighteen: The Sunbreaker's Rage

Austin's POV

I accidentally fell asleep and woke up to Oobleck, screaming something about underground networks.

Austin: What's going on?

Yang: Ruby's gone!

Fuck!

Austin: Ghost.

Ghost: Striker subclass on and weapons equipped. You're locked and loaded.

I grabbed Grasp of Malok.

Oobleck: She might in this hole filled with Grimm. We must find her.

We went in the hole and were running down a tunnel. We found Ruby being aimed at by 4 armed men. I ran at them with Juggernaut on.

Austin: Hey! Assholes!

Oobleck: What is he doing?

Yang: Oh he does this all the time.

As the men shot the shield down I brought down my fist instantly electrifying them all.

Ruby: It's Torchwick! They're using a train to leave.

Austin: We're stopping that train!

We got on top of the train.

Austin: We got hostiles!

White Fang members running towards us from the other side of the train. I fired the pulse rifle killing several of them before reloading.

Weiss: What's that?

What's what? We noticed the beeping object.

Oobleck: That. Is a bomb.

Austin: Get out of here then.

I started throwing teammates to the other train cars. As we got closer to the front, Oobleck and I noticed the Grimm.

Oobleck: Austin!

Austin: Go on guys! I'll take care of them.

I emptied my entire Gjallarhorn capacity into the Grimm causing a blody massacre. I heard gunfire and Yang grunting from the train car ahead of me. As I jumped down I saw Yang on the ground as a woman in a white suit drew her sword. I ran towards her with the knife on my mark and collided with her sword causing her to back up. I was interrupted by a woman in red with what looks like a raven tail and a Grimm helmet. The woman in white ran off scared.

Austin: Who are you?

She got closer and walked around me. I think she was scanning me.

Austin: Do you know her?

I pointed at Yang. The lady grabbed a piece of my mark and was looking at the insignia. She let go and created a red portal.

Austin: Wait!

She left and Yang stood up. The hell was that?

Yang: We need to go. Now.

I nodded. We got up to the roof and saw that we were heading towards a wall.

Blake: What now?

Ruby and Weiss nodded at each other. Weiss created an Ice shield. It was more mobile than the ward. When we got out we were back in Vale. The people were confused at what just happened. Oh shit the Grimm!

Austin: Get out of here now!

I turned around in the air as Grimm started pouring out if the tunnels. We ran towards the center.

Austin: Ghost. Sunbreaker!

Yang's POV

We were surrounded by Grimm. I heard Austin yell Sunbreaker whatever it was. We were locked and loaded.

As we're fighting, I got knocked down by a Ursa but got right back up and punched the beast to death. Team JNPR joined up and eventually so did Sun and Neptune. I wasn't paying attention and got hit by a group of Ursa and saw Austin.

Austin: You Monster!

I sometimes pretend to be hurt just to see him use his Fist of Havoc, but he didn't do that. We watched as he pulled his right arm back and simultaneously spawn a giant hammer and light on fire. Now that is awesome. He walked up to the group of Grimm.

Austin: You will feel the fury forged by the undying sun and the wrath of a Sunbreaker!

He threw the hammer at a Nightstalker causing it to explode killing the Ursa around it. He spawned another one and threw it at an Ursa wielding the same result. He dashed forward at speeds that rivaled Rubys and smashed the head of another Ursa leaving a trail of fire in his path. Everyone from the academy took part in the fight and in the end, we won cause why wouldn't we? Torchwick was with Atlas.

Torchwick: Oh no. You caught me. You sure taught me a lesson.

I saw Austin went to Roman and aim a new revolver at his knee.

Austin: Lesson one Roman. Death is usually an afterthought.

He shot the gun. The bullet went through Roman's kneecap.

Roman: AHHHH! You fucking shit!

Atlas guys didn't know what to do so they carried Roman. We went to to the edge of Beacon and sat down.

Ruby: We did good today.

Yang: Yeah we did!

Blake: Austin, what was that about?

Austin: What?

Ruby: The fire thing?

Austin: Fire thi-. Oh Sunbreaker.

Yang: Got a story on that one?

Ruby: I want to hear the story.

Austin: Let's go in the dorm first. I'm tired.

We all agreed on that. When we got to our dorm I changed into a yellow tank top and pajamas. I sat in the bed as Austin came out shirtless. He seems embarrassed about it. It was cute to see him like that.

Ruby: Why are you shirtless?

Austin: I have no shirts. Sorry. I don't like it either.

I do.

Blake: So what's the story of the Sunbreakers?

Austin: The Sunbreakers were a group of Titans who were independent from the Vanguard.

Ruby: Independently?

Austin: It means instead of just protecting what we had left, they would fight the Darkness directly. They would live in the wild instead of the City but would offer their services like mercenaries.

Blake: So you were a mercenary?

Austin: No Blake I'll get to that. My commander did not approve of them and were considered outcasts.

Ruby: So what happened to them?

Austin: They were killed off one by one till only their leader was the last Sunbreaker to exist.

Weiss: Then how did you become one?

Austin: During the Taken War, my commander regret his decision and sent me to find them. When I went to Mercury, their leader showed me the way to summon their light and became one with the Sunbreaker.

That explains the burn marks.

Ruby: What was that hammer you had?

Austin: The Hammer of Sol. Translates to the Hammer of the Sun.

Ruby: Wow.

Austin: I'm going to sleep. Night girls.

RWBY: Night.

I got an idea.

Yang: Guys. I got an idea.

I whispered to them by brilliant idea. They liked it. Well everyone but Weiss at first. Ruby convinced her to join us eventually. We're giving him a gift. A reminder of all of us.
