Mike's P.O.V

A month ago.....

"You're starting today I guess with your first assignment. Clean up all these empty beer bottles." Patch slurred and I nodded.

I grimaced at the view and Patch waltzed into his room, being tailed by Belle again.

It was worth it anyway. I got to get closer to Lily I guess. As cliché as this sounds, Lily wasn't like any of my one night stands.

She was one of a kind.

I nodded at Patch's retreating figure and casually walked to the bar, grabbing an apron and tying it around my waist.

"I appreciate the help, but employees only beyond the bar." I heard Lily say behind me and I turned around and shrugged at her.

She grew even furious and shook her head, grabbing my tray and the bottle I was holding.

"Yeah, you don't care but I'm the only current employee here Mike. I don't have to deal with this drama." She said and I shook my head.

I casually leaned on the bar and crossed my arms over my chest.

"What if I told you that Patch just hired me?" I asked and her jaw dropped.

I took the opportunity to grab the tray and bottle she was holding and continued to work.

"You cannot be serious, Mikey." Lily said and marched to my direction.

Why didn't Lily want me here at all? I mean I worked hard to get a spot here and she was acting as if it was no big deal.

I was willing to get an actual job which I've never had before, just so I could get closer to her.

"Fine, if you don't want me here it's fine Lily. I mean you told me last time that you were stressed with the work load and I just wanted to help." I told her and placed the tray and bottle on the bar.

I untied my apron and threw it on the bar as well.

"Mike wait!" I heard her call my attention and I turned to her as she sighed.

She looked so stressed right now with her blonde hair going in different directions.

"You got a job here, just to help me with my work load?" She asked and I shamefully nodded.

Now to think of it, my reason sounded really pathetic. Mike Darcy, never chased a girl.

But she was the exception to the rule.

"Well yeah?" I said it like a question and she grinned like an idiot, grabbing my arm and pulling me towards her.

I leaned in to make the first move and she giggled, placing a hand in between us.

"Well, it's going to take much more than that to get to me, sweet cheeks." She says and proceeded to work, picking up the empty bottles.

Gee, I've got to step up my game.

Present....

Winny's P.O.V

It's been a month since everything changed. I made new friends, a new relationship and "he who shall not be named" was gone from my life too.

It's been a month since I've moved on.

"You okay, Winny? You seem bothered, did I forget something? Oh, I did didn't I?" My new friend Nan asked.

She has been my friend ever since I joined the school's events committee. Sam said it would be fun and he was right when he said I'd gain some new friends along the way.

"No, it's nothing. I mean I'm just worried for the year end party that's all. I mean we haven't planned a theme yet. I mean we're not getting any younger you know?" I told her and she nodded.

Her eyes widened and she placed her finger in the air, usually what she did when she had an idea.

"But we could stay young!" She said and I didn't understand her one bit.

Sometimes I really didn't get what Nan was saying.

"No we can't Nan. We get older, no one stays young forever." I tell her and she shakes her head, sighing as if I didn't get anything she said.

Which I did.

"Not literally silly! Our theme could be Disney's Peter Pan! We could have pirates and islands and clouds! It'll be perfect Winny. I could just imagine it. Staying young for a single night." She said and sighed in adoration.

Okay....

"Sure why not? It's just that the story isn't popular you know? I mean I barely know the story." I said and shrugged.

She sighed and shook her head. That was one thing about Nan, she was really controlling sometimes.

"It'll be perfect Winny. Trust me." She said and I sighed, nodding.

She squeeled and looked so excited and stopped.

"Oh here comes your geek charming." She says and looks straight ahead at Sam who's walking towards us.

I roll my eyes at her as she waves goodbye.

"I'll be telling everyone my idea on the theme, okay?! See you later!" She says and marches off.

Sam gives me a smile and laughs when he sees Nan's jumpy atitude.

"What's got her all worked up?" He asks me and I shrug, waving him off.

"She's just really excited about the year end bash and all. She thinks it's going to be perfect according to her." I tell him and he nods, taking my hand.

Sam and I have been together since we first kissed. He was perfect for me, smart, kind and a gentleman unlike someone I knew....

"Oh? Why don't you give me a sneak peek on the theme ayy? Everyone's dying to know." He said and I shrugged.

"Peter pan." I mutter and his eyes widen as he hugs me.

"That's wonderful! I knew forcing my girlfriend into the Events Committee has its perks." He says and I roll my eyes.

I mentally froze at the word to describe me, "girlfriend." I hadn't actually used the term boyfriend on him since we started dating and I'm not sure he's comfortable with it

He keeps giving me signals, but I'm just not ready for that committment yet.

Not after what happened with Patch.

"Wow, thanks for using me." I say with no interest at all and he laughs at my fake bluntness.

"Come on, if you don't eat at once you get feisty. Let's go." He says and pulls me to him, kissing my forehead.

My life was complete, but my heart knew I missed something.
