On her way back from the washroom, she feels a cold breeze. She couldn't help but lean on the window. "It's so refreshing."

As she turns her head, she finds Jay by himself outside the balcony. "What's he doing all alone?".

Melody props her head on her arm, watching Jay. He looks up at the sky, gazing at the stars as he exhales a breath. He looked so lonely. She felt like if she leaved him to himself, he'll go off somewhere far away. Before she knows it, she headed towards the balcony.

Without thinking, she grabs the hem of his shirt," Don't go anywhere."

Jay turns around suprised. His face glows radiantly in the moonlight. "What are you doing?".

She realises what she was doing and immediately took her hand off him. "Oh..um..nothing. i just thought you looked lonely! That's all."

"Oh, were you worried about me?", Jay gives her a teasing look.

"No, well...i", Suddenly embarrased, she looks away from him. "I guess it wasn't worth worrying about you. Do come back inside before you freeze."

Just as she was going back inside, jay speaks up. "Sometimes, when i am looking up at the stars like this."

He looks up, and she couldn't help but do the same. "I feel like all my problems are tiny in the grand scale of things." Then he glances at her," Stay right here with me for a bit." Her heart aches, when she sees the pained smile on his face.

She looks up, not answering with a word but her longing presence. "Jay, what you said earlier. I kind of understand what you mean."

"Is that so?". She couldn't see his face, but she was sure it was beaming with reassurance. She shiver chilled by the cool early winter wind.

Jay notices and extends his arms towards her. "Come here".

Oh.

His arms wrap around her, rubbing against her clothes. "Jay...". He pulls her closer to him, closing the gap between their bodies. She could feel him breathing! "Still cold?".

"N-No. I am okay". She didn't know if she could handle him closer than this. She takes a glance at him from under her lashes, and he looks right back at her with a teasing smile.

"Are you going to make fun of me again?!", She pushes him in a playful way.

"Ah, you're learning!".

"You better keep up then", she smirks at him.
But Jay doesn't give in to her. Instead, he sighs and looks over the neighborhood. "You know, there's this feeling of emptiness inside me. Sometimes I'd ask myself,

'What am i living for?'

'Why should i bother trying things out?'

I always try to think back if what I do is really something that i want. I hoped that, maybe, if i regained my memories, I'll find the answer."
