Naomi started signing, and Hunter translated. "She says Nexus made her. A new form of android that helps children. That could mean anything from health to education. After she was placed with her kid, after a year, the dad got demoted to Bronze and couldn't afford her. She-"

"Wait, wait, wait, she's an android?" Rose asked. "I've only seen those on tv. Prove it."

"Rose," Isiah said.

"I want proof. I'm still getting over you being an assassin. I don't think I'll ever get over that. And now she says she's an android? What's next? Faith's a witch? Hunter's a dragon?"

Zach burst out laughing. "I'd love that!"

"Oh, uh, I guess I should let you in on something. Just don't freak out, okay?" Alissa said, taking off her mask. Rose screamed. "It's okay! This is me. My real name is Alissa. Alissa Young. You might know my dad."

Rose's eyes widened in shock. "No way! Why is the President's daughter here? Does he know?"

"No, and I want to keep it that way until the opening ceremony. We're going to expose my father and all the horrible things he's done. Speaking of which," She looked at Hunter. "Have you heard from Levi?"

"No, I don't even know how to get in touch with him."

"Ooh! I do," Zach said, grabbing the monitor remote and turning to the same channel Zoey had appeared on before. "If it's Zoey, I'm running." As soon as Zach reached the channel it started to change. After a couple of seconds, Levi's face appeared on the screen.

"Where have you guys been? I thought they caught you. What the hell's been going on? I've been seeing people die left and right. All the news feeds say the games are going all out with special effects. No one believes it. Well, I should say no one. Some people believe it. A group called Ventus Via or The Old Way believes the games are a bunch of bull. Anyway, what's new?" he took a moment to survey the room. "I see we have some new faces." His eyes stopped on Naomi then he turned his attaching back on the group. "Why do you guys look like you got hit by a bus?"

"Nice to see you too," Hunter said. "We've been through hell. You know, the usual."

"Hmm," Levi said. "I saw Alissa and Isiah's sister go into a building, but that's about it. Most of the footage was glitching out. So were most of the other activity centers. I don't like not knowing things."

"How does he know she's my sister?" Isiah asked.

Levi smiled and then went back to what he was doing. "He does that," Alissa said. "Anything new on your end?"

"Oh yeah. I got a lot. Thanks to Maggie and Quinn's help. I think we might have what we need. The info is something even Young won't ignore. Speaking of which, there's something I need to tell you. Tomorrow, all of you will be led to the opening ceremony auditorium. They're planning on making you stick to the teams you were assigned to. The rest of the participants will show up. I don't think I need to say what this means, but I will. They're starting the games soon. Sooner than expected. Seems like President Young is getting impatient. I wonder who might've forced his hand?" His eyes flicked to Hunter. "We'll never know."

"Seems about right," Hunter said. He couldn't help but feel responsible. A small wave of despair washed over him, which was dispelled as Alissa squeezed his hand.

"Whatever he's planning, we'll get through it," Alissa said.

"Don't worry, everyone. We'll get this bastard. No offense, Faith," Levi said.

"None taken," Alissa said.

"Well, that's all from me. I'll check in tomorrow after-"

"Where is he?!" A voice in the background shouted. Levi was about to talk when he was shoved aside. "Zach! Are you okay?"
