CHAPTER 32: Caught [PART 1]

At the fresh exciting NEWS, people in the class stood from their seat before running pass Matt, and towards the classroom door.  

"T-Ter.."  Stopping mid-sentence, Matt took a deep breath, then proceeding. "He caught Danielle and Lachlan kissing in the male's toilet. I've seen Ter mad but..this anger is frightening." He explained.  

"We better leave." Ian said.  

According to Matt, the fight was outside the college, in the parking area. Starting with where I was standing, I saw a large crowd of people, in a perfect circle. Though I couldn't see either, I knew Ter and Lachlan in the middle, fighting.  

'Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight'  

The nearer Ian, Matt and I were, the louder the cheering became. With caution, Matt and Ian lead me through the crowd of people cheering. There were several recording the fight, several begging someone to stop the fight and several people betting.  

'People are disgusting'  

Once I was in front, I saw Lachlan and Ter in the middle. Lachlan's fist met with Tere's face and the moment Ter was crouching, Lachlan gave Ter a smooth kick in the abdomen. Without sparing one minute, Lachlan rose his leg a little before colliding the heel of his foot, down onto Ter head with force. I observe as Ter collapse onto the ground and a smug look on Lachlan's face. But the smirk on his face disappears when Ter stood straight, with a smirk of his own. The moment Ter took a step forward, he hit Lachlan in the face with his right fist. Following the hit, he swung his left fist, hitting Lachlan in the face, twice.  

"Where's Danielle?" I ask.  

Turning to face me, Matt spoke, "Danielle's started running to the principal's office the moment Ter challenged Lachlan to a fight. Then, Taylor started running to Lucas and Logan because their Lachlan's friends."  

Staring elsewhere, I caught a glimpse of Logan and Lucas appearing at the scene. Behind, was Mr Harrison and the principal. Realizing the principal was there, the crowd began breaking. In a short time - apart from Ian, Matt, Ter, Logan, Lucas, Lachlan, Mr Harrison, the Principal and I, there was no other person. There and then, Logan took a step towards Lachlan, whereas Ian took a step towards Ter.  

"Lachlan, stop fighting." I overhear Logan shout, before standing in-between his friend and Ter. Instead of listening to Logan, Lachlan swung his fist towards Ter but before the contact, Logan stepped in front of Lachlan and caught his fist. "Walk." He commanded, his voice low and dangerous.  

At Logan's tone of voice, I shiver. 'I bet Logan's a great fighter' I thought.  

Without a second word, Lachlan started walking elsewhere with Lucas shadowing him. Ian, was stopping Ter from pursuing Lachlan. I knew it was rather difficult because Ian was struggling to hold onto Ter, because of the look on Ian's face.  

"Stop!" I shout.  

The moment I scream, those who were around, started staring at me. I blush, before looking elsewhere. But when I hear someone's walk closer and closer toward me - though I wasn't facing the person - I felt as though I knew who it was. 

'Logan Sutherland'  

I felt Logan's arms wrap around me in a gentle manner, bringing me closer to his built frame, his arms tighten a little. "You shouldn't have been watching the fight." He said, "You could've been hurt. Or worse." When Logan broke the hug, I saw the look of concern on his face. "You and Matt must leave, now." He instructed, forcing a smile.  

"Wait a minute Sutherland. You can't ordering Tia because she's her own person." Overhearing Ian scowl, I watch the concern look on Logan's face, change into a frown. "She isn't a little child and she doesn't need someone clinging onto her like a leech."  

The moment I saw Logan's fist clench and un-clench, I lace our fingers together. "Please." I whisper. 

"Fine."  

Parting his mouth, the principal of our college was about to start talking but I interrupt, much to his displeasure.  

"Ter, the fight was useless." I start, "Yes I understand the situation but beginning a fist fight was ridiculous. You and Lachlan could've been in the hospital or worse, in the morgue!" I scream the last three words in frustration, as I glare at Ter. "There's a chance of expulsion from WMC or jail!"  

"Ter, Tia's correct. You should have first spoken about the problem instead of challenging someone to a fight.  That and, the problem is part Danielle's fault because we know she's been sleeping with Lachlan for-" After realizing where his sentence was leading, Ian stopped himself. However, it was a little late because Ter took a step backward, with the look of anger returning on his face.  

'Ian. You are such an idiot' I think.
