I wake up alone, since last night before sleeping Dae Sung told me he had an early morning meeting in his company. But he was considerate enough to make me breakfast before living. At the breakfast, my phone rings.

" Hey."

"Hello. Dara. Listen. I need an urgent favor."

"What is it?"

"Can I crash at your place for a few days? My roommate's girlfriend has moved out of the dorm, staying with us for a few days, but it's been a nightmare. They fight all day and at night, let's say the walls are thin and she is a screamer."

I laugh "Poor you!"

"You enjoy my misery?"

"A little. You can come over. I pity you for being trapped with a disturbing couple."

"You have no idea. I can't even imagine going through a relationship if it's supposed to be like this. I swear if someone picks on me every second like that I'm going to shout fuck you and your life for thirty seconds."

I laugh. " Which one is worse?

"My roommate. He is like the worst boyfriend ever in history. I don't know how she puts up with him."

"You're such a good and supportive friend. Get going. I'm about to leave soon."

"Thanks. You're an angel. A lifesaver and those craps."

"Yeah. Yeah. See you."

After hanging up I dial Dae Sung to let him know I'm going back home. He doesn't pick up so I assume he is busy right now. I leave him a brief voice message

"Hey there. Listen I have something to do back home. I'm leaving. I'll call Yaerin to pick up Doggy."

Jong Hyun is playing stupid video games online shouting in his headsets. I look up from my laptop halfway through my work assignment, noticing my phone is ringing.

"Hey?"

Dae Sung's baritone voice reaches me

"Nam Il! Sorry I missed your call. I was busy till now."

"It's ok. Did you listen to my voicemail?"

"Yeah. You went back home"

"En. Jong Hyun needed a place to stay. He has a roommate situation so I had to accommodate him. You're back home?"

There is a pause.

"What are your plans for tonight?"

He doesn't answer my question instead asks another.

"Jong Hyun wanted to watch something since there are not many options for going out. Did you just arrive home? Did you eat anything? It's five already you should eat something."

"I just arrived home. It looks empty."

He says then goes quiet.

"Isn't Doggy home yet?"

He laughs bitter "I guess I just got used to seeing you waiting for me at home."

My heart skips a bit. Does he miss me when I'm not around? I snort

"Like a good little housewife who waits for the grumpy husband"

Then I bite my tongue immediately once the words are out. I don't want to pressure him into any kind of commitment or to look hopeful. The silence drags on

"I was referring to that show. You know with all the gossips and stuff. Um. "

He doesn't talk so I guess I already made him uncomfortable.
