"I can not believe you Jared! You left her alone? Why would you do that? I know I raised you better than that! Where the hell did you get your stupidity from?! Cause I know for sure it's not from me. Jared Lucas King are you listening to me?!" Louis screeched into her son's ear.

" Louis, honey…calm down." Ryan cooed.

"Calm down?! I can't calm down, not after what your idiot son did!"

"Yelling at him won't change anything, what has happened has happened."

"But yelling would make me feel so much better." She retorted sharply whilst glaring at her husband.

"Okay…I think you need to take a walk. Go to the garden, you'll feel better once you're outside."

"This isn't over Lucas." She huffed as she left the room.

Ryan let out a loud sigh as soon as she left.

"I had forgotten how terrifying Louis is when she's mad." Jacob breathed running his hand through his hair.

Jared muted the world around him and focused on the glass of whisky in his hands. His sister had told him that Aria had been filing for a divorce but he didn't pay mind to it until the phone call he had with his lawyers; then reality finally set in.

"Earth to Jared." Jacob called snapping his fingers in front of Jared's face.

"She wants a divorce. My lawyer called and told me that her lawyer contacted him."

The room went eerily silent at his statement.

"Fucking say something!" He snapped.

"What do you want me to say Jared? I have just four words, ' I. Told. You. So.' " Jacob replied.

"That's not helping!"

"It wasn't supposed to." Jacob retorted.
"I fucking told you! I knew this was going to happen and I warned you but you wouldn't listen."

" That's enough Jacob." Ryan warned, "So what are you going to do?"

"What can I do? I'll sign it."

"What the hell?! Really?!" Jacob exclaimed as he sprung up from his seat.

"I don't have a choice! Besides, she deserves far better than me."

"You're an idiot. First, you hurt the woman you love and now you're just going to let her go?" Jacob huffed staring at his best friend

"Oh spare me the lecture! This doesn't concern! You don't anything! You don't even understand cause you've never been-"

" In love?" Jacob asked cutting him off, "You're right. I'm sorry for trying to help." Jacob replied monotonously.

"Fuck…Jake I'm so-"

"I'll be taking my leave now, thank you."

Jared let out a shaky breath as he watched his best friend leave the room.

Jared stared at the parcel in his hands and gulped. He didn't have to open it to know what was inside; the address of the law firm already gave it away. He had never thought that a few pieces of stapled paper could ruin his life.

"Hello?"

"H-h-hello, it's Cameron, your lawyer"

"Cameron, I have your number saved. What is it?, I got the papers already I'll sign them and send it back. There's no need for a court settlement. I don't want a scandal."

"About that…sir have you seen the news lately?"

"No…why are you asking me that?" Jared asked as he looked through his tabs for a newspaper page, "Cameron what's going on?"

"Sir I'm really sorry! One of our new interns got wind of the divorce and sold the info to several gossip blogs. But don't worry, it's all under control. We are going to get him and the gossip blogs involved."

"It's a little too late for that." Jared gritted, "It's all over the news already!"

" Sir," June called, poking her head inside the office, "we have a huge problem. The phone lines have been flooded, different companies are backing out of their deals with us. I don't know what to do! I've been trying to reach the company lawyer but-"

"Out! Get out!"

June flinched at his tone but obeyed.

"My life is fucking over."
