" Good morning sunshine." Jared cooed, sitting at the edge of the bed as Aria stirred awake.
" Happy birthday."

She groaned and covered her head with the sheets.

" Five more minutes." She grumbled.

He chuckled and pulled the sheets down.

" You'd think she'd be excited about her birthday."

She pouted and sat up.

" I made you breakfast."

" You, made me breakfast? Jared, I don't think food poisoning is a good way to start the day."

He glared at her earning a giggle from her.

" There was absolutely no need for that." He glowered.
" Martha made it so you're safe."

" What is it?"

" Your favourite; steamed sweet potatoes and an omelette."

" Yay!" Aria squealed as she wrapped her hands around his neck.
" Thank you."

" You're welcome." He replied hugging her.
" Happy 25th birthday."

He kissed her lips lightly and tried to pull back; she grabbed his face and deepened the kiss.

" Breakfast?" He muttered as he pulled back to catch his breath.

" Later."

" Happy birthday Aria." Various employees greeted her as she walked down the halls.

" Thank you." She replied slightly embarrassed by the incessant greetings.

" There's the birthday girl," June stated with a small smile as Aria approached her.

" Could you please stop that?" The latter groaned.
" It's embarrassing."

" I don't care; here's my gift to you."

" Thanks, June."

Aria took the neatly wrapped box from June and opened it. On the velvet-lined box sat a delicate gold chain with a diamond-encrusted pendant that read ' Aria'.

" Thank you so much June, this is…thank you."

" There's no need to thank me. Just enjoy your day."

" I will."

" Delivery for Mrs Aria King."

" That's me."

" Could you please sign here…and also here. Thank you and happy birthday."

" Thank you," Aria replied as she took the gift box from the delivery man.

She sat and opened the gift.

" Dark chocolate, my favourite."

She lifted the chocolate up to see a bouquet of what looked and smelt like roses but she was sure weren't roses.

" There's a note…"

Aria,

A thousand words could never be enough to explain how much I love you, but it sure would help.

P.s Those paper roses took hours to fold.

She chuckled as she picked up a rose and unfolded it.

32.

I love three things the most. The sun, the moon and you. The sun for day, the moon for night and you, forever.
