" I've been thinking." Aria started.

Jared narrowed his eyes and folded his arms.

" That's never a good sign."

She rolled her eyes.
" I want to go back to work."

" No! Absolutely not!"

" Why?!"

" You're not fully healed."

" But my arm is! Dr Sherman said I only have to wear my cast for a couple more week."

" He also said no stress." He retorted.
" You're gonna be stressed out by those idiots at work."

She groaned.

" I'm tired of sitting at home doing nothing."

" Now that's not true, what about those colouring books I got you? That's something."

" If you mention those colouring books again I swear to God I'll kill you."

" Aria look, I know how much you miss the office, hell I miss having you there but I don't want you getting hurt."

" I know but please let me go. You can get me one of those automated wheelchairs so I don't have to stress my arms and I'll close early! Please?!"

" Aria-"

She gave him puppy dog eyes whilst pouting.

" Oh no! No! No! Don't give me that look." He groaned causing her to intensify it.
" Fine! You can come with me tomorrow just stop doing that!"

" Yay!"

" Welcome back!" The workers greeted as Jared wheeled her in.

" Thank you." She replied smiling.

None of them found the courage to engage her in a conversation due to Jared's glare.

" Would you stop glaring?" She said smacking his chest.

He grumbled in reply.

" Aria!" June exclaimed hugging Aria.

" Hey June."

" How are you?"

" I'm fine thank you."

" That's good. I wanted to come see you but Jared told me you weren't taking visitors.

" Yeah."

" I'm just glad you're okay. I hope you liked the cookies I sent?"

Aria furrowed her eyebrows.

" What cookies?" She asked glaring at Jared. The latter rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly and gave her a guilty smile.
" Jared." She called in a warning tone."

" I couldn't help it! They were delicious!"

" Don't worry, I'll make you another batch." June assured.

" Thanks June."

" Everyone's glad you're back, at least now Jared's reign of terror will be over."
He frowned.
" Someone's been a little cranky without you."

" Really?" Aria drawled with an amused smile earning a glower from Jared.

" Why is my table empty?" Aria questioned bursting into Jared's office.

" I don't think it's empty. You always have knickknacks on it." Jared replied without looking up from his computer screen.

" Don't play dumb with me King, why are there no paperwork on my table? I literally have nothing to do!"
