"Have you ever wished you were somewhere else entirely?" Y/n asked, not taking her eyes off the bright blue sky.

She and Peter were laying on a hill on the grounds of Harlaxton. It was a sunny day out and the two friends were making the most of it.

"I used to, then I met you," Peter said and Y/n blushed, looking over at him, a big smile on her face.

"Can you tell me more about you?" Y/n asked and Peter gave her a confused look.

"I told you about me," he said and Y/n shook her head.

"You told me where you are from, nothing else," She said and Peter sighed, sitting up, she followed him.

"What do you want to know?" He asked and she shrugged.

"Anything. Everything," Y/n said, picking at a blade of grass.

"I don't know what to say really," he said, watching her movements. Y/n didn't respond, just looked back up at the sky. She focused her attention to a voice shouting her name from the house, she saw Marian waving her over.

"I have to go," She said and Peter nodded. "I'll see you later," She said and Peter didn't respond as she walked down the hill.

When she reached Marian she had an upset look on her face which the woman immediately noticed.

"What's wrong miss?" She asked and Y/n sighed.

"Nothing, I'm just tired," She lied, Marian nodded.

"Your father is calling for you, another suitor is here," She said and Y/n nodded, walking into the manor and to her father's study.

She knocked once on the door walking in. Her father was sitting at his desk, a young man sitting opposite him.

He had dirty blonde hair and the bluest eyes she had ever seen. When he stood up she noticed he was much taller than she was.

"Y/n, this is Harrison Osterfield, Duke of Oxford," Samuel said and Y/n's breath hitched as Harrison bowed slightly to her.

"Pleasure to meet you, ma'am," He said and Y/n curtsied.

"The pleasure is all mine," She said and the two looked back at her father, he had a smile on his face as he walked out from his desk.

"The duke will be staying at here with us for the time being, so we will make him feel welcomed," Samuel said and Y/n nodded.

"Of course," she said, looking over at the young man. She would admit, he was extremely handsome and his gaze made her cheeks flush.

The three of them made there way out of Samuel's office, the two men walking together and Y/n quietly behind them. They passed through a hallway that overlooked the grounds of Harlaxton, Y/n could see Peter working out by the stables and a small smile came to her face as she watched him.

She almost didn't see her father and Harrison stop until she almost ran into them. Mumbling a small apology she looked up and saw that Harrison had a smile on his face. Her face flushed in embarrassment.

"We will have a feast tonight to celebrate your safe arrival, your grace," Samuel said and Harrison nodded.

"Thank you, sir. I am looking forward to being surrounded by such stunning company," Harrison said, sneaking a look at Y/n before following a servant to his room. Y/n blushed again and her father turned to face her, he had a look in his eye that she had rarely ever seen: hope.

"He's a good man," He said and Y/n nodded.

"He seems nice,"

"I have a good feeling about this one, Y/n," He said, clapping his hands and walking down the hall back to his office. Y/n's gaze moved out the window, back to Peter.

He had noticed her and was waving happily, a big smile on his face and she smiled, waving back.
