IN WHICH MCQUAID HATES TO LIKE KENNY LANGSTON. Kenny Langston has made it his job from third grade to overly annoy the uptight and mathematical McQuaid. This is only because McQuaid wrote a love letter about Kenny and he accidentally found it.
Since then, Kenny's been McQuaid's unfortunate right hand man, doing everything in his power to see McQuaid burst with anger. The boy was already awkward as a duck so him being angry would be almost a comedy.
The reason why the two are so weirdly compatible are because of the fact that both of them are liars. Kenny would swear to death that anything related to McQuaid was for entertainment purposes. And McQuaid says that one— he never wrote that letter and two— Kenny is the biggest nuisance of all time and he cannot wait until Kenny just leaves him alone. Those are lies.
Not that they would ever admit it but the years they spent annoying or hating one another has brought in feelings that can't seem to stop. They either pause, or continue to grow rapidly. Especially knowing that they'll share a room together on the trip to the Domiguez Rocks.

PRETTY MUCH — Kenny likes to annoy the shit out of McQuaid and McQuaid pretends to hate Kenny even that that's obviously not true. — Kenny makes a lot of inappropriate jokes and Tyler really thinks he's cool — Kenny's like the best looking dude of A/V club in everyone's eyes — Kenny is in denial about actual feelings for McQuaid but Luke can see through his lies — Kenny gets jealous when McQuaid develops a sort of crush on Emaline because then Kenny won't be able to be as annoying as he was, but he's McQuaid's first kiss before McQuaid goes to kiss Emaline on set — McQuaid and Kenny admit their feelings to each other at the premier privately and SUPER awkwardly which results in them head-butting before they kiss again
