VENUS SAMPSON WAS SPICY. She had fiery red hair, and an equally fiery spirit that wouldn't take shit from anyone. But she did like getting paid though. She was new to their school, but once she stepped inside, everyone immediately fell to their knees in praise of her.
The only person that probably didn't like Venus was Clay Jensen because she ran over his bike, and didn't even apologize for it.
When the people who did Hannah Baker wrong, team up, their best way to distract Clay from getting the girl he loved justice, is by giving him another girl to love. They come up with an idea to pay Venus to flirt with him, and become his girlfriend for so long that he forgets about Hannah Baker.
Except– their plan goes wrong. Clay Jensen still does his best to bring light to Hannah, while also getting the girl.
WHAT CAN CHANGE : nothing
PRETTY MUCH — they pay Venus to make Clay fall in love with her so that he forgets about Hannah, except Venus starts to help Clay get justice
— Venus is really and brutally honest – she does not care about sparing feelings
— Venus and Clay at first really hate each other because of the bicycle incident but then once Venus starts getting paid, she starts to pretend that she likes him, and soon actually does fall for him – Venus does get him a new bike — before she gets him a new bike, in order to win over his trust, she offers him rides to school
