CARTER REMEMBERS MEETING FINN THROUGH SOME VIRTUAL WORLD GROUPCHAT. They started talking to each other about the most nerdiest topics of all time. From Galactica, to Star Trek vs Star Wars and a debate about if that even was a debatable topic, and Marvel Comics. This was when they were around twelve and still prepubescent and naive to the likes of the world.
Carter just knew that he liked Finn. He wasn't sure if it was like that but he did really find the kid cool. He never found out what he looked like, and so his biggest regret after the two stop using the app is not asking for a number so they could text. But he did find a last name.
AFTER AROUND TWO YEARS, the two go through their own major glow ups. Finn gets casted on Stranger Things, and rocks the whole world while Carter gets casted on General Hospital and Andi Mack, exciting Disney Fans. It was ironic that both of them had found their marks in acting, but Carter's glad for their professions.
Without Finn being in headlines, he wouldn't have ever found him. So when Carter posts a picture of their avatars to see if this is the Finn that he used to talk to— Finn comments, and their friendship comes back better than ever. And a relationship blossoms as well.

PRETTY MUCH — after two years, Carter sees Finn in magazines and recognizes his name from the friend he met online in a virtual world app. Carter posts a picture of their avatars and Finn comments , bringing them back together again , they're just brought together in a different way now
— Carter is questioning his sexuality — Carter and Finn have DEFINITELY went through a glow up — i think the app should be ClubPenguin but I think other apps and websites can work too — Carter doesn't have to post a picture, but he does post something on social media and Finn sees it — Carter's nickname for Finn is Phineas and Finn calls Carter Ferb because omg cute
