FIRST LOVES DEFINITELY HURT THE MOST. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY MEANT THE MOST. Kyle and Nicholas had an erupting relationship. When it erupted, it was probably the most beautiful thing ever seen, they were the happiest, and they loved each other so freaking dearly. Yet it also caused so much damage, and it always ended so badly.
KYLE WOULD NEVER FEEL ANYTHING FOR ANYBODY ELSE LIKE HE WOULD FOR NICHOLAS. That was the boy he planned on marrying, no matter the circumstances of how they ended up at that altar. Yet when one year turns to two years and two turns to three— that promise gets less compromising because they haven't spoken to each other since they were sixteen and now they were twenty two.
It was easy at the time to play footsies and sneak glances at each other. It was easy to stay up late at night with hushed voices whispering i love yous and what not. And it was so, so, daringly easy to sneak kisses whenever they could. It just so happened to be that the difficulty was keeping their love and compassion hidden.
AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, IT'S STILL SO FREAKING HARD TO PRETEND LIKE THEY DON'T LOVE EACH OTHER. They both subliminally talk about each other during interviews, they both get unhealthily upset when they see pictures of each other with their girlfriends on social media, but now the easiest thing happened to be, pretending as if they didn't care for each other anymore. Yet it was really each other that was on their mind
WHAT CAN CHANGE : the plot can be developed and i think the love interest could actually be timothée chalamet. oh and the name and title can change— not Kyle's faceclaim.
PRETTY MUCH — nicholas and Kyle are each other's first loves and it's been five years since everything ended. They're both famous now, but they pretend as if the other does not exist. Yet they can't seem to stop thinking about each other. It's just easier to pretend that they don't care.
— Kyle comes out as a pansexual man but Nicholas/ Timothée doesn't come out as bisexual/gay and is still in the closet — they share the same friends but they're in different group chats with them — Kyle and Nicholas/Timothée are always fighting every time they see each other or talk to each other — they will become friends at some point in time but they kind of mess that up when they kiss
