BLOOD 52: FIRST KISS

Limang araw pa lumipas bago kami nagplano ng mga dapat gawin. We chose to rest for days muna. We are so tired of inferring so many things. Baka mabaliw lang kami kapag hindi kapag tinuloy pa namin ang pag-iisip. On the other side, I still kept thinking on why they didn’t know to whom Lia merged her soul. Sigurado kasi akong nakita at namukhaan ko siya sa nakaraan ko.

But I don’t want them to know first. I have to keep it in myself. Baka kasi mamaya, hindi sila maniwala kapag sinabi ko kaagad. Indeed, I know where Lia is but she kept on acting like she’s not Lia. Nakaka-confuse.  

“Malalim yata ang iniisip mo, ha?” I heard a familiar voice from the door of my room and it was Daniel’s. Oo nga pala, hindi sa kwarto ko natutulog si Daniel. Sam offered him his room since lalaki siya. Masyadong protective si Kuya.

“Hindi naman.” Sabi ko.

“Aren’t you hungry? Since the day when you transformed, hindi ka na kumain maliban lang kapag karne ang nakahanda?” Sabi naman ni Daniel.

Yeah, right. I lost my appetite. And I feel very strange with my body. I just can’t resist myself from eating meats. Baka ito nga ‘yung epekto ng pagiging isang Raposa. Many asked what a Raposa is. We are fox kung i-co-convert sa modern world. But among those foxes, we are very different. Pinag-aralan ko na rin kasi ang tungkol sa amin, since hindi naman lahat ng bagay sa nakaraan ko, nacover-up ng utak ko. Kuya Sam told me everything.

“Siguro ganito lang talaga.” I embraced myself and tried to walk papunta sa veranda. Naramdaman kong sumunod din siya sa akin.

I looked at the trees swaying. This is the opposite view of the beach outside the house. Hindi pa rin kami umuuwi and we never planned going home until we end our unfinished business. There are three things na kailangan naming matapos: to find Lexi and Rick, to find Lia, and to find for the missing gem. After those three, isusunod na namin ang pagbawi sa Dark Circle. Sisimulan na naming ang pagbuwag sa konseho na paulit-ulit na pinaglalaruan ang lahat ng immortal.
