Thirty-Nine

Kendall

"Louis I-"

"You don't have to say it back, if you're not ready. Honestly I don't think I deserve it, after how awful I've been." He interrupts, blue eyes filled with hurt but not an ounce of regret.

"Louis-"

"I know things didn't go to well the last time I told you, but I meant it then. I just hope that-"

I'd silenced his rambling by covering his mouth with my hand."Louis if you would just let me speak for a moment. You'd know that I love you too." I told him, then removed my hand.

He smiled, while laughing nervously."I thought that you'd possibly stopped loving me for a moment. I know I've done some really shitty...wait I'm not supposed to be stressing you out. Let's just enjoy ourselves tonight we can fully talk about us tomorrow."

"Niall's party is tomorrow." I reminded him, when he started eating again.

I'd been debating on if I wanted to go or not, even though I had already bought a costume. Though I knew for a fact that Andrew, Lexi, Trent, Mason, Levi and Jay were definitely going since Niall invited them. He had also said we could invite anyone we wanted, but I didn't really have that many other friends besides Luke. I believed in quality over quantity, so a few was enough for me.

"Yeah, the guys are dragging me there. We can talk there if you want? There will be a lot of rooms so I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to find one to talk in. You know since he's hosting it at a hotel. " He asked, blue eyes staring into mine intensely.

"Unless their are a lot of horny people hooking up, then we'd be out of luck. We can just talk now?" I suggested, while sipping some more of the wine.

"Why spoil this date though? Besides I want to sit down and talk for a while. I need to get you back home in about two hours. So I just want to enjoy this." He smiled, then twirled some spaghetti one his fork. I frowned when he leaned over the table and held the fork in front of my face.

"I'm pretty sure I can feed myself Louis." I laughed, but accepted the food anyway.

We'd sat like that for a while, just eating, talking, and Louis trying to feed me. It was romantic if I could say so myself, then again I wasn't the romantic type. I really never thought Louis was till today. He had me feeling like I don't know.....I don't know what he had me feeling like. It was a nice feeling though I'd say that at least, but I still couldn't help but think about the fact that he was still dating Jessica.

Though this day had been perfect and I wasn't going to ruin it.

"I should probably get you home, so Andrew won't skin me alive." He said, while calling the waiter over and asking for the check. We'd been finish with our food for almost a hour and we just sat and talked.

"I'm a grown adult Louis."

His brows rose slightly as he handed the man his credit card and told him to take a hundred dollar tip off it."So you didn't check in with him before we went out?" He said, as he grinned.

"That's different," I pointed out,"He expected me to come home. Do you know how worried he would be right now if he didn't know where I was, or he couldn't reach me?"

The man came back with his credit card, then we stood up and left while saying goodbye. Before I could blink Louis had made his way over to me and took my hand in his. He grinned down at our intertwined hands before glancing back up at me. Everything seemed to be just the same as we'd left it when we drifted off into our own little world, just moments ago. The people were still dancing and the atmosphere still hadn't changed.
