"So you're telling me that you think you fifteen-year-old sister is smart enough to start plotting against you all because she wants to 'avenge' your parents that were basically jackasses and abusive." Taeyong's disbelief was pushed aside by the two boys before them who nodded their heads. "I think Yeri is feeding you lies. That sounds like the plot of a fucking horror movie, Chaehyun."
Chaehyun did have to admit that it sounded too far fetched and completely copied from a movie but with the thing he's dealt with in the past it didn't seem so impossible. Hanra had always wanted her parents back, even after what they did, she had forgiven them for their wrongs not to mention she had betrayed him before, so he wasn't particularly surprised.
"She's been hanging around with the wrong crowd. She told Yeri that she was going to try and make me regret everything I did to my parents, I did some thinking...what if she's getting involved with sketchy people...dangerous people as apart of her plan to 'make me pay'. Come on guys she's betrayed me before, this theory isn't exactly impossible."
Kun sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. Drama and danger seemed to follow Chaehyun everywhere he went. The poor boy couldn't catch a break.
"Firstly, she's fifteen. She ain't that smart. Secondly, she wouldn't have told Yeri her plan if she was being serious. She's probably playing a prank on you for one of her Youtube videos."
"Or, she's as psychotic as her parents," Lucas suggested earning a slap from Chaehyun.
"She might be trying to end my life but that's my sister dude."
"Okay, look whatever she's doing, I am sure she's not trying to endanger you. She loves you Chaehyun, you're all she's known for god knows how long. She wouldn't do that to you."
Chaehyun sighed and ran his hands over his face. This stress was too much. He thought he was over the whole being hunted by bad guys saga. He was slowly starting to wish he could take a jet to The Bermuda Triangle because all he wanted was to disappear.
He removed his hands from his face and kept his eyes on the carpet. "What if my parents are manipulating her? My Dad is still walking free and my mum isn't too far away from here, what if she's been visiting her? She's easily swayed especially when my parents are involved, they're probably promising her a new life with them when I'm out of the picture. All I know is that something has happened to make her turn on me. This isn't for not fucking YouTube video."
Noticing the strain in Chaehyun's voice, Lucas reached over and grabbed his hand. The gesture was only small, but it did so much. Chaehyun glanced at him and earned an assuring smile. It felt different between them...a good different.
"Okay so say she is being manipulated, what can you do about it? You can't exactly go up to her and be like 'yeah hey baby sis, are you trying to kill me?' Think about this Chaehyun, this all just seems too stupid to be real. She's fifteen years old, probably decided to prank you and that's all. No offence, but she's not that smart come on I mean she's your little sister. You didn't even finish high school."
Chaehyun dropped his jaw feeling slightly offended. He scoffed. "That's not--actually yeah you do have a point."
He let out a small cry which dragged out into a groan. Lucas squeezed his hand catching the eye of Kun, who immediately smirked and quirked an eyebrow. Lucas ignored the stare and turned to look at Chaehyun who was on the verge of a mental break down.
"If I don't go grey by the time I'm twenty-five I will be pleasantly surprised."
Oh Chaehyun, everyone would be surprised if you didn't go grey by the time you're twenty-two.

Two days later, Chaehyun found himself seated in front of somebody he never expected to see again in his life. The smile which was an exact replica of his was plastered across her face as the brown eyes much like his own glistened with what appeared to be a hint of surprise combined with shock.
"Well if it isn't my little dinosaur." Chaehyun's chest tightened at the nickname. He held a cold stare, but she knew him very, very well. She saw the hurt laced within the anger behind his hazel eyes. She tilted her head and pouted. "Oh don't look so angry Lachlan. I'm only messing, you used to love when I called you that when you were younger. You used to cry if I called you by your actual name. You got jealous whenever I called Daeyoon it. Always wanted to be Mummy's Little Dinosaur didn't you Lachlan."
Chaehyun said nothing. He allowed her to reminisce before him, he pushed the jabs to his heart away and brushed his tongue against the inside of his cheek as he tilted his head to the side. She smiled fondly at him.
"Are you finished?" He asked her lowly.
"I am. But answer me this question first. How are your brother and sister? I haven't seen Daeyoon in years...how he is he? Hanra? Is she well? You're taking care of her aren't you."
Chaehyun laughed and shook his head, brushing his tongue against his cheek. "Like you've ever given a shit about how Daeyoon is doing. But if you must know, he's doing better now that you're out of his life. He's happier than he's ever been without you, he doesn't need you anymore. He's never needed you because all you ever were was just the woman who gave birth to him. You were never a mother to him and that man I'm supposed to call a Dad was nothing but a sperm donor so keep Daeyoon's name out your mouth. "
She pursed her lips and leaned her head back slightly, the smile had been completely wiped off of her face.
"And as for Hanra? Why are you asking for an answer you already know? She's been visiting here, hasn't she? You've been planting shit in her head, haven't you? To turn her against me. To try to finish me off because apparently, the pain you've caused me wasn't enough." His Mother chuckled and looked away from him, but Chaehyun saw something in her eyes he hadn't seen in years. "A-are you crying?"
She swiped the heel of her hand under her eyes and sniffled, shaking her head as if to move the hair out of her face. Finally, she looked at her son in the eyes. The eyes that were so much like her own, the big brown eyes which at one time held so much happiness. She took notice of how the sparkle was still there but dimmed. She recognized the joy drained and replaced with so much pain that he had been bottling up. And finally, Chaehyun saw something he'd never seen before. He watched her break down before him. This time her pain was genuine and he wasn't quite sure what to do.
"I-I tr-tried to stop her. You-you have to believe me Lachlan, I've changed. I promise. I have, I've changed. She-she came telling me about how she was going to make sure I get the revenge I deserve. I told her no, I swear on everything I have that I told her no but she wasn't for listening. I'm sorry Lachlan, I'm sorry for everything I have ever done to you. There's something you should know..." She looked hesitant, but took a leap of faith and laid her hand over his expecting him to pull away.
But he never did.
"I'm sick. I'm very sick, both mentally and now health wise. I know I've done some things, some crazy awful things and I am not asking for your forgiveness. God, no. I am not asking for that. But I'm being moved from here, I don't know where I'm going but I'm too sick to stay here. I want you to keep your Father far away from your sister, he's feeding her lies and he's manipulating her. No matter what happened in the past and now what happens in the future, I love you Lachlan. I have been a terrible mother, I know but I have loved you from the day you were born. I've hurt you in so many ways and I am sorry...tell your brother and sister I'm sorry and that I love them. Goodbye."
Chaehyun watched with narrowed eyes as she stood up. Two guards grabbed onto her arms as she leaned over and kissed Chaehyun on the forehead. She whispered those three words once more before she was pulled away. Chaehyun watched the scene with quivering lips and watery eyes because for the first time in years, he'd seen the woman she once was. He'd seen the version of her that he'd missed for so long.
And he couldn't hold it no longer, he covered his mouth as sobs shook his body. Kim Chaehyun was heartbroken.
"I love you too..."

Okay so I cried whilst writing this chapter. I have been planning that end bit since I first began this book and it feels so good to finally have it done. I'm sorry it's so long.
