"So he specifically asked you to call me did he now?" Chaehyun leaned against the wall with an amused smirk, hearing the voice on the other line. "And he's feeling unwell you say? Oh, bad stomach problems you say? Hmm, yes. I do recall him having a bad case of diarrhoea this morning. Oh it was bad."
Chaehyun covered his mouth as the laughter very nearly crawled up his throat and escaped. Chenle could count on Chaehyun for many things and one of them was getting him out of situations he didn't want to be in, including school. Though, it did come with a little bit of embarrassment on Chenle's part.
"I'll pick him up right away." The phone went dead and Chaehyun pushed the door to the practise room open, the boys turned to look at him expectantly. "Chenle called me up crying, I'm about to go pick him up from school, he's got a bad case of the poops."
"Are you sure? He—"
"Yep. Pooped for an hour. Leaking he was, awful!" The boys scrunched up theirs noses and gestures for Chaehyun to leave.
The TMI trick always worked on them. With his keys in his hand, Chaehyun pulled up the mask and his hood as he headed towards his car. He slid into the drivers seat, pushing the key into the ignition before reversing and setting off on the journey for the little liar.
"Diarrhoea? Really?" Chaehyun smiled as the younger boy got into the car.
"If you wanted me to lie to your school then you were going to at least get some kind of punishment. Don't get used to doing this, you need school. You'll have to pretend you're sick when you get back to the dorms or else Renjun will snitch and we'll both be in trouble."
Chenle nodded. "I'm sorry, I just seriously have been so exhausted lately and it got a little too much for me to handle. I won't do it again, I promise. You're the only one who would get me out and I just-"
"You don't have to explain yourself, just as long as this is a one time thing. I expect you to sleep as soon as you get in if you're so exhausted, you do look a little pale though."
Chenle shrugged. "I just have a headache." Chaehyun nodded and shifted his eyes back to the road. "I can't believe you actually got them to let me go home. If the Hyungs find out, we're in a lot of trouble."
"Well, they don't call us the Terrible Two for nothing."
Chenle frowned. "No one calls us that?"
"Just shut up and let me have my moment."
Chenle whistled lowly causing Chaehyun to chuckle. The car fell silent, it was comfortable of course, the soft sound of the radio playing was enough sound for the two.
"Can I ask you something?" Chaehyun spoke up, his voice cutting through the thick silence. Chenle nodded in response. "Has Jisung been having problems at school? Like with the other kids?"
Chenle sighed. "He told me not to tell you. But yeah. He's just having a hard time, he's been skipping classes a lot and just my old friend likes to pick on him. I say old friend because I obviously took Jisung's side. He has a few friends but it's just hard on him. Hard on us both, I'm just thankful we graduate soon."
Chaehyun nodded. He knew of Jisung's problems at school, but not that he had been skipping his classes, he made a mental note to talk to him about it as the car pulled up in front of the dorm. Chenle grabbed his bag pack, leaning over to give Chaehyun a quick hug as he ruffled the younger boy's hair.
"Go sleep, take something for your headache and tell Renjun to keep an eye on you. Tell him I said he has to. I'll come in later to chat with Jisung, I love you."
Chenle chuckled, "I will, I will, Okay and I love you too."
The door slammed shut and Chenle headed inside, sending one last wave to Chaehyun before the older boy drove away.
"That boy better not slip up."
Later that night, Chenle accidentally blurted out that he wasn't really sick and of course, they both got in trouble for it. Especially Chaehyun who was banned from seeing his dog for two hours.
