It's Friday one of the busiest nights at Scarlett Widow.
"Hey October."
"Hey Jason."
"You ok you sound down."
"I broke up with Travis."
"Why?"
"He slept with one of my former best friend's oh and it was on my birthday."
"Are you fucking serious? Want me to kick his ass?"
"That's a very tempting offer. But no thanks Jason. I kind of just wanna forget he exists."
We both laugh.
"Are you going to the concert tomorrow night?"
"For Asylum?"
"Of course. You do have the DJ play an Asylum song at least once a night."
"Yeah. I have two front row tickets. They're my birthday present from Travis."
"Ouch I'm sorry babe."
"It's ok no biggie."
"Does you know who, know you're single again?"
"I don't think so but I know it won't be long until word gets around. I need a shot before I start tonight."
I grab a bottle of top shelf rum and pour a shot for Jason and I.
"Does Jeff know you do that?"
Great the one bitch that I can't stand.
"Hi Michelle and probably not."
"Well here he comes. Jeff I have to tell you something."
"What is it Michelle?"
"I just saw October pour her and Jason a shot of rum! Top shelf!"
"Michelle with the money October makes me in one night she's earned herself a case of that stuff!"
I just smile.
Michelle walks away all pissy.
"She's just pissed cause I won't bang her again. She was a shitty lay anyways."
Later that night it was getting packed. I had a couple guys that I was making drinks for when I spotted Travis.
I looked away back at the guys tossing a couple bottles making flaming drinks.
I pour there drinks and they stand up to clap.
"Thank you very much gentleman I'm here all night!"
"Here you go sweetheart."
I see them put a $100 in my tip skull. Instead of a jar I have a hollowed out skull.
"Hey Miss can I have a beer."
I turn around and it's Travis.
"Go away Travis."
"No we need to talk."
"No we don't. It's done. We're over so leave. I never want to see you again."
I see one of the bouncers walking by so I signal to him.
"Davis I need you to get rid of this person please."
"Isn't this your boyfriend?"
"Not anymore. He fucked my former best friend!"
I probably shouldn't of yelled that last part. But some of the customers turned around and started to boo Travis. I couldn't help myself I started laughing.
"Hey everything ok over here October?"
"I'm fine Jeff I just asked Davis to take out some trash."
"Did you two break up?"
"I'm sure you already know that answer."
"Yeah I do. I just wanted to make sure."
"Oh Jeff while you're here. Can I have tomorrow off?"
"Saturday night? You better have a good reason."
"I have a ticket to see Asylum."
"Even if I said no you'd still go. Have fun. I'll tell the DJ it's that time of the night."
"Thank you Jeff."
"No problem."
He came up behind me and rubbed my shoulders for a couple seconds then he walked away.
"Sometimes he can actually be bearable."
"Yeah but now I'm thinking what he wants in return for giving me tomorrow night off."
"You already know what he wants October."
"Shut up and hand me a bottle of tequila. I gotta light these fuckers up."
I take a mouth full of tequila and I grab one of my candles blowing a fireball out.
The crowd goes nuts. Always a crowd pleaser.
After a long busy night I finish cleaning my bar. I walk over to one of the booths taking out all my tips.
"Long night October."
I look up seeing Jeff.
"No it went by quickly just busy."
"Oh I told Terence to not let Travis in here anymore and for him to let the other bouncers know."
"Thank you Jeff I appreciate that."
He walks away.
"Hey superstar what'd you make tonight?"
"Um you first."
"I made $500."
"Not bad not bad. I made $750."
"Fucking bitch."
I laugh.
"That's cause your hot and have a good rack."
I laugh again. "Well you're hot too!"
"Yeah but girls don't drop tips the way guys do. Only way for that to happen is if I was shirtless."
"Dude Jason you should be. You've got a rockin body. You're the only guy I know with an eight pack!"
"True."
We both laugh.
I love Jason he's been my bar bestie since I started working here a year ago.
He's got dark hair, blue eyes, he's tall and has one rocking body!
"Why haven't you gotten a new girlfriend yet anyways?"
"Eh I feel like whoring around no strings attached fucking."
I laugh.
"Oh oops I shouldn't mention that around the virgin."
"Yeah cause I don't know what fucking is."
"Did you and Travis ever?"
"Dude you know I would of told you. I'm so glad I didn't either. I told him I hope he got herpes."
"Damn that's fucked up but hilarious."
"Ok I'm out for the night. How about you?"
"Sure I'll walk you out."
"Thanks."
After I got home Lynn was still awake.
"Hey female bestie."
"Hey Lynn. Do we have any food?"
"Yeah there's Chinese in the fridge."
"Oh here."
I toss Lynn $600.
"What's this?"
"Rent or whatever."
"Holy shit girl how much did you make tonight?"
"Only $750."
"Only?"
"Yeah tomorrow night I could make $1,000 but you and I are going to see Asylum."
"Jeff gave you the day off?"
"Yup."
I go into the bedroom and change. I toss on a baggy shirt and some shorts. I go to the fridge and get some food.
"Jason was being mean to me tonight."
"He's so hot. How is he single?"
"He said he just wants to fuck around. If I were you I'd take him up on it."
"Damn really? And how was he being mean?"
"He called me the virgin."
"Well you are a virgin."
"Somewhat by choice."
"Dude you've been moved out of your parents house since you were like 17. Plus you lived with Travis for half a year."
"Yeah well no one's peaked my interest. I didn't even love Travis."
"Maybe you should fuck Jason."
"Right after he broke up with Janice and right before I started dating Travis I didn't tell you but we made out for awhile."
"Wait what!? How could you not tell me!?"
"It didn't go any further plus it was just that one time. We both agreed it would of been too weird. But he is one hell of a good kisser."
"I wonder what else he could do."
We both laugh.
After I ate I went to my bedroom and passed the fuck out.
