Vikk's POV
Josh put me down in the kitchen. Making sure I was in one of the chairs. There was 5 there. They already planned for Michael to join in. I watched the boys follow us and take a seat. They put Michael on one end and me on the other. Once we were all seated. Josh reached into a drawer. And pulled out some paper and gave us all 5 each.
"Alright guys write down everyone's name. "
"Are we doing a who's most likely too?"
"Yeah I thought we haven't done one in a while. Plus we have A special guest."
"Oh really who is it?"
"You Michael."
"Oh. I thought you wanted someone special. I'll just go now."
They laughed at him. After we wrote down all the names on each piece of paper. Josh turned on the camera and did the intro.
"Alright we ready? First question. Who's most likely to end up on a talent show?"
"Oh come on that's easy."
I went through my sheets of paper and found my own name.
"Ok reveal in 3...2...1..."
We all turned our paper over. JJ, Simon and Josh all showed my name. But we all looked at Michael. He had his own name shown.
"Micky I know your new but Vikk has been playing the piano for years."
"Sorry Michael but Josh has a point. I have been doing it for so long. It's almost second nature for me."
"Heh Sorry Mick. Are we ready for the next one. Ok."
I prepared for the next question but was stopped short. I jumped up and looked down the line. The other boys all did the same. We looked at Michael. I don't know if that was him.
"You going to keep this in Josh?"
"Probably. I just let the camera go."
Michael took a deep breath and let out a long sigh. He looked down at us and smiled. And he did something we would never have expected. He started singing. But. I knew the boys wouldn't know what he was singing. But he sounded amazing. His voice a beautiful Soprano sound. He hit the chorus and I knew what he was singing. Don't cry for me Argentina. It was almost perfect. He finished the chorus and stopped and looked at us. We were just stunned.
"Michael that was."
"Absolutely fucking perfect."
I watched Simon, JJ and Josh grab their paper and push out Michael's name.
"Sorry Vikk. But after that. He wouldn't end up on the show. He would fucking win the bastard."
"No hard feelings. I never would have known that."
"Come on guys the video is still a thing."
"Yeah right. Oh man. I have to leave that in but edit all this out. Alright. Next question..."
We continued as normal and did about 18 more questions. Laughing and making jokes at everyone's answers.
"Alright guys Final question... Who's most likely to come out of the closet first."
I heard Michael Laugh and we looked at him.
"You can't put my name down. I'm already out."
"That's fair. Alright ready. 3...2...1..."
I showed my page and looked down. I heard Michael gasp. The other boys had all put down Simon. Where as Simon put down Josh. They had a laugh. Then looked at me and saw my paper.
"Vikk?"
"Really?"
"Wait hold on."
"The fuck."
I listened to each of them in order. Michael, Simon, Josh and JJ. They looked at me with a confused look. I knew it was all for the video. As if they were acting surprised to see me put my own name.
"Yeah guys. I uh. Guess I have something to say. To everyone on Youtube. And to all my friends and family watching this. I. Vikkram Barn. Am a gay man. And I thought what better way to show me. Then in a Youtube video. But I guess now. I'm officially out of the closet."
They just looked at me stunned. Guess this was to be expected.
"But. I am currently interested in another guy and we have decided to take things slowly as we have been friends. And we thought it would be good to see how things work. Transitioning from friends into a relationship after admitting our feelings towards each other."
It was silent for a few seconds before I heard Michael whimper. I got up off my chair.
"Josh don't put this in. Not yet please."
"It's fine go ahead."
I walked over to Michael and kissed him. Held him.
"I thought you were already."
"Nope. Not officially. The Vikklan ship didn't help but because we acted like close friend's on camera. Everyone just thinks we are just close. Nothing gay at all."
"How did that feel?"
"Simon that felt so fucking good."
"Alright Vikk come on take a seat I need to do an outro."
I took my seat and let Josh do an outro for the video. After finished and turned the camera off. I just leant back in my chair. I just came out in a video. I'm officially out. I don't need to worry about hiding any more. And I didn't need to worry about whether people would be upset. It was done. It was dusted. And I felt so good. I got up and was picked up by Josh. Throwing me over his shoulder again.
"THIS IS THE SECOND TIME PUT ME DOWN!"
"Nope."
I was trying to squirm but it didn't work this time. He took em up the starts and threw me onto my bed. Then everyone else came in and all jumped on me cheering. I couldn't help but laugh. It was like a big group of friends had just seen each other for the first time in a month.
"Fuck guys I can't breathe."
They started to get off one by one but Michael held on. He held me for a few seconds longer before getting up and pulling me to my feet.
"I know. Slow. I can do this."
"Can you though?"
"Shut up JJ."
"Pretty sure you two kissing on camera wasn't slow."
"Josh I swear to god."
"Vikkyj789... I ship it."
"Damn it Simon."
"Alright everyone out of my room."
I watched them all leave and Michael turned around to go as well.
"Nope not you. You stay with me."
I pulled him in and hugged him. I felt more confident around him. I felt happier. Slow. I had to keep telling myself. Slow.
"You still want to call Rob? It's still early here."
"Yeah sure. What time is it over there?"
"No idea. I'll log in and have a look."
I turned on my pc and waited for it to boot up. It didn't take long but still. I logged into Skype and listened to messages pop up. So many people had been messaging me. I didn't even realise. I hadn't checked them since I left Brisbane. Some from Mitch and Jerome. I saw a few from Preston. And saw 11 from Rob. Probably wondering about Michael. But he wasn't online. I also saw a few coming from Lachlan and Jay. I clicked on Lachlan's and ignored his messages. But clicked on Jay's name and stopped myself. He seemed so sad. So angry and yet reading through his messages. He was angry at himself for what had happened. He wrote 4 messages. Each of them paragraphs long. I didn't really know what to do so I thought I would let Michael read them later. I checked the time for Rob and saw it was 8 am. He was not online. But Mitch and Preston were. And I saw Caitlin was online as well. It was pretty late here. As it was approaching midnight. She was probably on Tumblr. Or talking to a friend. I messaged each of them individually asking if they were up. And I got a reply instantly from Mitch and Preston saying yeah. Where as Caitlin took a few seconds. I added the three of them into a call and asked if they were free. Again a series of Yeah was on my screen in the chat I just made for us. And I hit the video call button and waited for them to pick up.
"Hey Vikky."
"Hey Caitlin. How are you?"
"I'm alright how are you?"
"I'm really good right now."
"Hey sorry to ask I was just in a call with Liam. I just let him know I had to go for a bit."
I felt Michael come up behind me and almost slide me out of the way. He clicked on the search bar and typed in a name. Before clicking add. And then added him into the call. I saw his video come up. At the same time that Preston and Mitch answered the call. Everyone had their videos up. I wheeled myself back over and took out my headphones and plugged in my small speakers.
"LIAM HOLY FUCK I MISS YOU SO MUCH!"
"WAIT MICOO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN ENGLAND!"
"I'm cheating on you with Caitlin duh."
"Oh that's ok. My husband and my wife are cheating on me with each other. That's great."
I saw Preston and Mitch look a bit confused.
"Oh sorry. Liam and Caitlin, meet Mitch and Preston. They are YouTubers as well."
"I know of Preston. You don't shut up about your other online friends. Though hi Mitch. Nice to meet you both."
Everyone had introduced each other after Liam spoke.
"I came out today."
I looked at the faces and saw everyone's but Liam was shock.
"Wait as in out of the closet. Your actually gay. I thought it was always just a front with Lachlan."
"Nope. I came out in a who's more likely too video with Josh, Simon and JJ."
"I have no idea who these people are."
"Liam go back to Tumblr."
"Make me bitch."
"I would but I'm currently like 11 thousand kilometres away."
"Rob has been so worried about you Michael."
"Thanks Preston but I know he would be. Sorry I haven't been online at all. While we were in Brisbane waiting to leave I turned off my phone. I haven't turned it on since."
"That would explain why your mum called me yesterday to see what was going on. I just said you were tired and went to bed and you would call her tomorrow."
"She still thinks we are in Canada hey?"
"Yeah dude."
"Oh hey speaking of. Jerome and I found the rest of the stuff."
"Any word on the Police?"
"They haven't heard anything about or from him in a week. They have assumed that after getting the letter. And then us all not receiving any calls or anything. That he has fled the country."
"Is that the Seth ass hole you were seeing?"
"Yeah Liam."
"That piece of shit followed you to Canada?"
"Yeah man."
"Idiot."
"Alright I'm just so happy your safe Michael. I hadn't heard much from you over the past week and that got me worried. But it is currently. 1 pm here and your mum is getting me to work the close shift with her."
I watch him pull a bag into frame and notice it's from Macca's.
"Liam you are hopeless I swear."
"What? I gotta eat. Anyway I will talk to you when it's a decent time for both of us ok?"
"Ok. Good afternoon Liam."
"Good night Michael."
He ended his call and I returned my gaze to the boys.
"Hey Mitch. Has Lachlan or Jay said anything to you?"
"Yeah actually. Lachlan has been trying to fly over their every day since you both left. Though his parents have stopped him by taking away his wallet and credit card. He hasn't been able to go anywhere."
"Jay has been messaging me this whole time. He has been sending paragraphs of everything going on. Every single conversation he has been having. Everything. Michael. I honestly think you broke him when you left."
"He shouldn't have made out with Lachlan and then expected Michael to stay."
"I understand that Mitch but at the same time."
"No. Jay knows what he did was wrong. He can't just expect Michael to be ok with it."
"Guys come on. This is stupid to tiff over."
"Michael I'm not saying to forgive him. I get what Mitch is saying. But at least talk to him sometime. Let him know your ok."
"Don't worry Preston I will."
"Alright It's still really early here. Vikk you want to record later?"
"Yeah sure. Bye Preston."
"Bye guys."
Preston went off. Probably went back to bed.
"Jerome is waking up. I'm going to go as well."
He waved good bye and went to stand up trying to hit the end call button. I just laughed at him and Caitlin couldn't help but join in. He completely missed the end call button and stood up not wearing anything.
"FUCK."
"Damn Mitch. Packing enough heat there?"
"Shut up Caitlin. But it was nice to meet you."
He hit the end button this time and his camera disappeared. I looked over at Caitlin who was rubbing her eyes and yawned.
"Babe go to bed."
"No I'm not tired."
"You rubbing your eyes says other wise."
"No not until I see it. I can tell. I want to see it for real."
I knew what she was talking about. I looked at Michael who looked at me confused. It was pretty funny. I winked at him.
"Oh. OH OH I GOT IT!"
He leaned down and kissed me. Softly. Making sure I was comfortable by cradling my head in his hands. I heard Caitlin squeal a little bit before waving at us and ending the call. Michael pulled away from me with a massive grin on his face. It was adorable.
"Vikk It's really late. Where was that blanket I'll sleep on the floor again."
"No. Your sleeping with me."
I got up and walked over closing my door. I turned around to see Michael with his back to me getting changed. I proceeded to take my shirt off and change my pants as well. He wouldn't stop staring at me while I got changed.
"Still liking what you see Micky?"
"Well I'm not allowed to deny it now am I?"
He walked over to me and put his hands on my chest. He leaned in and kissed me. One of the best parts about liking someone who is short. You don't have to jump or get on your toes to kiss them. I grabbed his hand and lay in bed. He hesitated for a little bit before he followed me. As we lay there facing each other. I watched as he moved closer putting one of his hands on my cheek. He leaned over and kissed me on the fore head.
"Good night Vikk. I'm glad I met you."
"Good night Michael. You have made me so happy."
