Kai's POV
I walk into the house and put down my papers. Being a teacher isn't the most fun thing ever. I look around the room for Katie but instead I find a note. It says:
Dear Kai,
Here is a Nerf gun. I have the other one. You are now under attack. Who ever loses has to cook dinner tonight. Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor.

What is a Nerf gun and how do you use it?
Katie's POV
I watch Kai from behind the couch as he reads the note. Once he puts it down I shoot him in the butt and then take cover as he looks around; searching for me.
"I don't know where you are but I will find you," he murmurs. The sound of his voice sends a pleasant shiver down my spine. I really don't want to cook dinner tonight. I turn around slowly and shoot at Kai as he turns toward the couch. When I fire, he disappears.
"Not fair. You can't use your witchy woo," I spin around, looking for him when a feel a bullet hit my arm. Dang. Where is he? An arm wraps around my waist and a Nerf gun is pressed into my forehead.
"I think I win," Kai's lips brush against my ear.
"I guess you have," I mumble, trying to move my gun without him noticing. I fire the gun into his chest and he steps back. "Did I fire that? Oops. I guess you're cooking dinner tonight, babe," I kiss his nose.
"You play dirty. I like it," he smacks my butt. Did he really do that? I raise an eyebrow at him and he just smiles. "I guess I am cooking dinner tonight."
