Late night in his room, Lincoln is on the phone with Kenji. "So, why did you get sent up?" Kenji asked. "My mother looked like she was in pain. I asked her what's wrong and she said she has heavy flow. I told her, "Spit some bars then" and I got sent to my room." Lincoln explained. Kenji was giggling through the other line. "You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Kenji said. "Maybe..." Lincoln said with a smirk.
"Anyways, what's going on?" Kenji asked. "Oh, I got some plans for the school speeches next week." Lincoln said. "Oh, alright. When can I see them?" Kenji asked. "Um, how about lunchtime tomorrow?" Lincoln asked. "Sounds fine to me." Kenji said. "See you tomorrow?" Lincoln asked. "See you tomorrow." Kenji said. They both hung up.
In Poland, Antoni is getting all packed up. He stayed for the night and is now leaving. Krysia, Marcel and Liliana are watching him pack up and leave. "Antoni... proszę nie odchodź! Właśnie tu trafiłeś!" (Antoni... please don't go! You just got here!) Krysia said in a sad tone. "Przykro mi, Krysia, ale nabiorą podejrzeń. Muszę wracać." (I'm sorry, Krysia, but they're getting suspicious. I have to go back.) Antoni said, "Miło było zobaczyć moją siostrę, siostrzenicę i siostrzeńca, ale muszę kontynuować leczenie." (It was nice to see my sister, niece and nephew but I need to continue treatment.). "Czy kiedykolwiek cię jeszcze zobaczę?" (Will I ever see you again?) Krysia asked. "Oczywiście siostro." (Of course, sister) Antoni said. Marcel and Liliana then ran up and hugged their uncle. "Ja też znowu was obu zobaczę." (I will see you both again too) Antoni said putting one arm around each of them. They then broke the hug.
Krysia couldn't handle it anymore. She then ran to her brother and squeezed him tight. "Proszę wrócić jak najszybciej! Proszę! Proszę!" (Please come back a soon as you can! Please! Please!) Krysia begged her brother. "Będę będę..." (I will, I will) Antoni said, hugging her back. She then let go of him. He then picked up his duffle bag and went to the door. He opened it up and before he went out, he looked at them and waved. Krysia and her children waved back. Antoni then turned around and went out the door and closed it. Krysia then broke down crying. Liliana and Marcel wasted no time going to their mother and comforting her.
"W porządku, mamo. Niedługo wróci." (It's okay, mama. He'll be back soon.) Marcel said. "Wujek Antoni musi wyzdrowieć. Kiedy znów go zobaczymy, będzie w pełni zdrowy!" (Uncle Antoni needs to recover. When we see him again, he will be fully recovered!) Lilana said. Krysia looked at her children and smiled. What Marcel and Liliana saw was their mother smiling with sad eyes and mascara lines running down her cheeks.
The next day in Poland, Liliana is walking in the town. She and Marcel were old enough to walk around in the town. If anything went wrong, they could always call their mother. As she was walking, she saw that she was near the Cathedral. She decided to sit on the steps for a little bit. The Cathedral was beautiful. Also, if you sit on the steps, you get a beautiful view of the city from the Church. She loved it. She decided to play Evanescence's first album on her phone through her ear buds. Amy Lee was her hero and her idol. She also decided to take out a mint from her purse. Her breath was getting pretty bad. After putting one in her mouth, she took a deep breath and exhaled. She felt so relaxed in this moment. A small smile grew on her face.
Suddenly, a boy her age sat down near her. He was texting on his phone. He had blonde hair and dark blue eyes. She thought he was cute. She had pink cheeks now. The boy was texting and then noticed that she was staring at him. "Oh, hello, miss, may I help you?" he asked in an English accent. That caught her off guard, but she still thought his voice was cute. "Oh, uh...I'm sorry... was I bothering you?" Liliana asked. "No, not at all." the boy said, "I just saw you looking at me and I thought you might need something." the boy said. "Oh..." Liliana said, "May I ask, what is your name?". "Johnathan McCormick." the boy said. "Jonathan..." Liliana said. "What is yours?" Jonathan asked. "Oh, Liliana Vervaeke." Liliana said. "What a pretty name." Jonathan said. Liliana blushed.
"Is that Evanescence?" Jonathan asked, hearing the music from her headphones. "Oh, yes, it is. I love Amy Lee." Liliana said. "That's my twin sister's favorite band!" Jonathan said. "Really?" Liliana said. "Yep. I don't care for them too much. Linkin Park and Twenty-One Pilots are my favorite." Jonathan said. "I love those bands too!" Liliana said. "Really?" Jonathan said before he got a text, "I have to go. My mum just texted me." Jonathan said. "Wait! Can I get your number before you go?" Liliana asked. "Oh, sure." Jonathan said. Liliana gave him her phone. He then put his number in and gave it back to her. "Bye, Liliana!" Jonathan said. "Bye!" Liliana said. He then walked away. Liliana squealed with joy.
