-skip forward a week. It's like 2 months to the end of the year. He turned 21 in his coma it's the holiday break, most people have gone home for it-
-idk if that lines up but eh oh well it doesn't really matter-
-its lunch theyre sitting at the dining table, they've finished eating-
"You got any plans today that doesn't involve going outside" Ronin asked picking up the plates and piling them into the sink.
"I was gonna go see Kat, I haven't heard from her for a while"
"How long is a while?"
"Like a week."
"I'll come with you"
"Don't you have marking and teacher stuff to do?"
"I can do it later, I don't trust the streets these days"
"Mhhmm"
"Have you tried texting her?"
"Of course I have, I've sent her 6 texts in a row, she hasn't seen them"
"Are they being delivered?"
"It says they are"
"That's a little concerning"
"Can we go now then?"
"Have you heard from Clover or anyone from that group chat you're in?"
"Nope nobody"
"That's even more concerning, yeah let's go now"
Ronin grabbed his hero mask and quickly changed into his hero outfit just incase.
Davis grabbed the older version of his visor, they aren't very comfortable but they still work. He put his shoes on quickly and they both speed walked out the door and headed towards the dorms. They arrived after a couple minutes of speed walking.
Ronin knocked on dorm 3's door first. No one answered so Ronin knocked again but louder. Still no answer so he decided to activate his quirk to check if he could hear anything.
"Someone's inside crying"
"So what do we do?"
"Can you break the lock with telekinesis, is that possible?"
Davis smirked and gave him an answer by showing him. He broke the lock using a small bit of telekinesis, it's not at all suspicious, the glow from his quirk was barely visible.
The door creaked open, the place looked almost trashed. Like there was struggling.
"Anyone in here?"
Davis stayed silent looking around the place.
"The crying is getting louder this way"
They headed downstairs and towards the end of the corridor where the bathroom is.
Ronin knocked on the bathroom door gently.
"I ALREADY TOLD YOU I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE IS!" was heard through the tears and sobbing.
Ronin deactivated his quirk and whispered, "can you break the lock again?"
Davis nodded and broke the lock. Ronin gently pushed the door open, he crouched down in front of the person who is currently hiding their entire body and head in a black blanket.
Davis didn't enter the room, he leaned against the frame of the door instead.
"Are you alright...." Ronin spoke softly.
The person peaked out of the blanket and saw who were the two people who entered their dorm.
"...davis...."
"Rikku, what happened" Davis asked in a mellowed tone
"They forced in, and took them."
"Forced entry and struggling" Davis muttered to himself.
"Rikku, what happened"
"They took Kat Clover a-an-and Shizu, they're looking for Shino"
"Do you know who else they are going after?"
"I'm not sure, they said they were going after two people called Betty and Harold Miller and someone called Haruto Ishikawa"
"Betty and Harold aren't they-"
"Yep" Davis gulped.
"They're looking for you... Davis.. It's you they want"
"What do they want from Davis?"
"His life for the freedom of our friends"
"Have they gotten Shino yet?.."
"They were going after him next."
"Let's go Davis. Rikku you're coming with us"
"They will be saved right, and Davis won't die right sir?" Rikku asked the inevitable question and the one which is currently very very difficult to answer.
"All of the heroes in the city will be working on saving these students."
*If it would save them I don't care if I die, I deserve it with all the people I've.....killed* Davis thought.
Ronin Davis and Rikku walked back up the stairs and out of the dorm. They headed to dorm 8 hoping they haven't gotten Shino yet.
They shortly arrived outside of dorm 8. The door was forced open, it looked like it wasn't gonna close anymore.
"Stay alert just in case" Ronin whispered to the two students as he activated his quirk again.
"Anyone in here?!"
"Can you hear anything?" Rikku nervously asked.
"Someone's hyperventilating"
"Could it be Arti?!"
"Who?"
"Artemis" Davis explained
"It's louder this way"
This person was in the only room that hadn't been forced into, Rikku's old room.
"Arti!...." Rikku ran into Arti's arms and hugged him tightly.
"Rikku....! You're okay?!.."
"Yeah but they got the others."
"They took Shino. He fought so well he was so close to getting away but then more came out of nowhere. It's you they're after Davis..."
"We know Artemis. Rikku filled us in." Ronin said before Davis could.
"Do you know if they have anyone else other than who we know"
"From what I heard they already have Betty and Harold Miller whoever they are."
"Do they have Avian?"
"They're going after him next, they just left"
"They know what they're doing that's for sure" Davis muttered.
*They're always one step ahead, so we need to get the upper hand somehow, and keep it* Ronin thought keeping a mental note.
"But why do they want you, Davis" Artemis asked innocently
Davis gulped then lied, "we don't know."
"we won't know until we find out who they are" Ronin explained.
"All those spam emails are about you too. Someone is trying to kill you and we wanna know why"
"We don't know why" Davis lied again.
"You guys need to stay here. I'm gonna go see if they have Avian yet."
"Are you nuts?!. What if they come back here..?" Artemis said freaking out again.
"Then you have full permission to kill them" Ronin joked although it wasn't obvious nor funny.
"That isn't funny and you know it's not." Davis said rather flatly.
"We're supposed to be heroes in training. Heroes don't kill" Rikku stated. She stopped hugging Arti as he had calmed down and sat beside him..
Davis sighed. "Yeah Ronin, how could you even suggest that", he said flatly.
"It was a joke, just stay calm and stay hidden. Kid you know the rest" with that Ronin left and ran towards Avian and Venus's place with his quirk activated. Again.
"Of course I do." Davis rolled his eyes behind his uncomfortable old visors.
"Why would you know the rest?"
*I have a feeling Davis knows more than he lets on. There must be so many things he's keeping from us* Rikku thought to herself.
"It's Ronin, you know how often he repeats his rules to me"
"No we don't know how often" Rikku said with the intention of finding out more about his..secrets.
"Oh well.. it's very often" Davis had feeling Rikku was suspicious of him. Again. And was trying to uncover some secrets. She was giving him that 'i don't like you because you keep secrets from your friends' look in her eyes.
"We'll get them back you know that right..?" David said trying to reassure the two people who clearly are losing trust in him. He sat on the other side of the room (it's pretty small.)(they're in Rikku's old room, since it was less obvious when hiding)
"Who's Betty and Harold Miller, I feel like you know who they are Davis, from that teachers' question in my dorm." Rikku asked
Davis secretly gulped. Maybe Rikku will be less sus of him if he tells him a few.. obvious things he keeps from everyone or some things they might know but he hadn't directly told them.
"They're my grandparents"
"So you're telling me, these anonymous people who have sent spam emails about finding and killing you. They've kidnapped our friends, your girlfriend and your grandparents"
"That's pretty strange" Artemis mumbled.
"And you're still saying you don't know who these guys are"
"also your visors look older than the usual ones you wear and I can see part of a plaster (bandaid) on your cheek" Arti pointed out.
"My usual visors got smashed. They broke beyond repair", Davis sighed. "The plaster (bandaid) is because..is because someone threw a brick through my window and the glass flew everywhere, some of it cut my cheek"
*That just doesn't sound true. I don't believe him but I won't let him know that. For now.*
"Do you know who threw the brick?" Rikku said. Artemis stayed quiet as tension in the air grew.
"No, they ran away as soon as they threw it."
"That's all the information we have on these anonymous people"
"Pretty much."
"Something just doesn't add up, I just don't know what"
"Sorry you feel that way??" Davis said not really knowing how to respond to that.
"I don't get you Davis I really don't" Rikku said starting to get a little annoyed with his vague answers, she doesn't believe what Davis says even if it is the truth or well most of it.
"Don't worry you guys everything and everyone will be okay in the end." Artemis interrupted the conversation since the tension in the air was so thick it could be cut with a knife.
"Not everyone" Rikku mumbled.
"She's right you know. I mean if they want my life for their freedom so be it"
"Why would you wanna sacrifice yourself for them??"
"Theyre my friends too Rikku" Davis let his knees hit his chest then hugged them so they would stay there.
"Davis please don't talk like that" Arti pleaded.
*Ping* *ping*
Davis took out his phone and checked the notifications "it's Ronin"
"What's he saying?"
"He says they have Avian, his place looks like there was a lot of struggle"
"So he fought back" Artemis said.
"And lost...." Rikku said.
"It's good that he fought back it means he probably tired out the guy who took him so he'll be easier to deal with when the time comes" Davis explained trying to ease not only the tension but also trying to calm the two students younger than him. Rikku and Artemis are both only 16-17 but Davis is 21.
"Is Ronin on the way back?"
"Yeah he said he's coming back"
"Good so we just have to wait for him."
"Hopefully it doesn't take too long."
*Heavy footsteps are heard from upstairs*
*Ping*
Davis checked it, it was Ronin again. He texted 'im almost back, I needed to stop for more blood sorry'
"Is Ronin back already??" Artemis asked.
Rikku stood up and reached for the door handle, opening the door a tiny bit. Davis stood up and stopped her closing the door again very quietly.
"What the hell?!"
Davis shushed her by putting his hand over her mouth then he whispered, "that's not Ronin...."
Artemis gently took Davis' phone to look at the messages. "Rikku that's not Ronin. Look"
He showed her the messages.
"Shitshitshitshitshitshit"
"Well be fine as long as we stay here."
Rikku and Artemis huddled at the furthest wall which the bed was against.
Davis stayed and stood against the door, leaning again it incase someone tries to force their way in.
"....visors....you here.... come on you're here somewhere." Someone whispered on the other side of the door.
*Is that-*
Davis opened the door and revealed a very tall being carrying a moving saw type thing. He has blue hair.. Rikku and Artemis were shocked and we're shaking with fear. Rikku also had anger in her heart as well as fear.
"Good going davis you've just killed us", Rikku said.
Davis rolled his eyes behind his visors
"Hey Visors. It's been a good minute Huh?"
"Uhhh yeah, what are you doing here?" Davis asked the huge villain infront of him ignoring the confused, scared and one angry students huddled up in the corner behind him.
"I came to see if you were okay."
"Oh well I am"
"Yeah I can see that now. Umm students from that academy are going missing left and right."
"Do you have any Information at all about it?"
"Do you know the Ki-ho kid, he was purple hair, purple eyes and doesn't wear shoes"
"Wait Kiyo as in Kiyo Rasmos?!" Rikku interrupted.
"Yeah that's him"
"What about him?"
"They took him too. So basically there's these two new villains around theyre related to the Dark Wasp, you know who that is right Visors"
"Unfortunately"
"So they have teamed up with Victor to basically kill you so I'm here because I'm on your side for this one"
"What do you mean in our side?" Rikku interrupted again.
"Well small blonde child, the supervillain Rain and I have promised to protect Davis, and there's new villains who want him dead and I can't let that happen"
"I appreciate the help Kreig. it'll be a great help to have you fight with us"
"Rain told us to stay safe visors and I wouldn't call this staying safe"
"Yeahhhhh, he doesn't need to know about this"

Out of nowhere Ronin came down with his quirk activated and pushed Kreig away from the students. He stood in a ready to fight stand with his fists up.
Kreig turned on his chainsaw looking thing and the blade spun really fast. Davis took off his visors then ran in between the two of them, holding both of his arms up to the side (like a T Pose) and protected Kreig. The intention was to prevent a violent and bloody fight from breaking out.
Artemis and Rikku speed walked behind Ronin.
Rikku sneaked a picture of Davis protecting Kreig from Ronin aka a hero in training protecting a supervillain from a Pro-Hero ready to send it in all her groupchats if he fucks up. Shes close to completely losing trust in him.
"Davis. Move. He's a Fucking Villain!"
"You heard the man Visors. Move to the side, he's looking for a fight so lemme kill the Pro-Hero"
"How cocky of you to assume you would win"
Kreig growled.
"Davis. Move!"
Davis stood firm between the two matter how much the two of them shouted at him to move aside.
"Dad would you just listen for a second?!"
Ronin glared at Kreig behind Davis then softened his look for Davis, "Fine." Ronin put both his hands in his pockets and stood more relaxed but still ready just in case. Only because he called him 'Dad'.
"He's on our side." Davis relaxed his arms back down to his side.
"What...?!"
"He explained everything that is going on. Hes on our side to... protect me"
"Is this about what Rain said?"
"Rain and I promised to eachother that we would protect him and I'm only here to make sure that doesn't happen"
"How the hell could you keep him safe better than I could"
"I didn't let him get kidnapped. Twice"
"Low blow"
"You're right. I take that back"
"Dad?"
"Fine....I swear if you double cross us"
"I won't..."
"Good" that is and only that is when Davis moved aside, "you can chill you know"
Artemis was about to say something when Rikku did, "how can we relax when you sided with a villain. Aren't you supposed to be Pro-Hero?!?"
"My intention was to prevent and bloody fight from breaking out."
"How do I know if that's true?!"
"They both wouldn't have killed me so if I was in the middle of them they wouldn't fight"
Ronin moved out of the way and next to Kreig (.o.) "do you have ideas what's going on?" Ronin whispered.
"Nope, but damn this tension is so thick I can cut it with a knife" Kreig whispers back.
"Forget a knife, how about your hand" Ronin whispered. Kreig burst in laughter. Ronin sniggered trying to hold back his laughter but he couldn't and just let it out.
Davis stopped before he said anything more. Then he spoke calmly gesturing to the hero and villain behind them, "that is what I was hoping for, they both won't hurt me for basically the same reason. I know he won't turn against us"
"This isn't the first time you've teamed up a villain is it Davis...?" Artemis asked innocently.
"Let's just say I have experience in this area"
Kreig and Ronin ran out of laughter and composed them selves.
"Alright, we're gonna go to my cram classroom and come up with a plan before parents start to call."
"But isn't the school closed?."
"I'm a teacher I have a key"
"Even me?"
"You're on our team so yeah. I'll use the same classroom as your buddy Rain" Ronin led everyone out if the dorm and they started to walk to the school gates. Ronin was in front. Davis and Kreig walked together. And Artemis and Rikku trailed a little bit far behind since Kreig was carrying his weapon over his shoulder.
"Yeah yeah yeah"
"You miss him a lot huh" Davis asked.
"He hasn't even been gone for long but we've never really been seperated before. We met then stuck together through everything"
"And then?" Ronin asked looking behind him for a second than back in front.
"We met Metica, you'd think he made us distant"
"It is his specialty" Davis mumbled.
"He made closer. Somehow"
"Can I get the information you told them Kreig"
"Sure but first would you like a full list of everyone they've taken"
"That would help" Ronin was surprised he was so willing to help.
"Betty and Harold Miller, Haruto Ishikawa, Shizu Miryoku, Kiyo Rasmos, Nico Alvarez, Clover Ranvenseal, Kat Queen, and Shino Basca"
"How do you know who they?"
"They gave me a list ... To help them...but I couldn't, you already know why"
Davis gulped. All the people he knows getting hurt just because of his mistake. He felt bad that these people were getting hurt all because of him..
