Theo's POV:
Shai's back with me and all I can do is hold her, nothing I can say will describe how happy I am to see her safe. She's so emotional and hasn't stopped crying since she saw me, but I need to know what happened and where she went. I slowly stroke her hair, calming her down and kiss her forehead as she looks up at me. "I love you" she whispers and I believe her, I feel it deep down that she means it. "I love you too" I respond, holding her tightly. "What happened?" I asked gently, allowing her to feel safe to tell me. "He touched me and kissed me and I-" she doesn't finished, she bursts into tears again. I don't know whether to feel angry or upset. I'm so angry someone else has touched her, so angry, but that must've been so horrible for her to go through so I feel sad, I can't believe I didn't get to her quicker. "I kept telling him no-" she breathes and I put my finger on her lips stopping her, I know enough. How dare somebody take advantage of her, how dare he. I wipe the tears from her face, her eyes are puffy and I don't know where to start with words. I try my best to sit up so I can look at her easier, and with all the strength in me I sit up, ignoring the fact I've just moved for the first time since being in here. I can tell Shai's nervous about something as she's fiddling with her fingers and looks down at her shaking knees. She slowly looks up meeting my gaze and whispers "does this mean I've cheated on you?" Oh Shai, I can't stop the smile that creeps across my face, I'm so thankful for her innocence, she's so adorable. "No, Shai, it doesn't, but the police do need to be told about this, you have to be honest" I say, almost as if I was talking to a child and I feel bad. She's not a child, she's far from it. She agrees and and walks to the desk to ask if the police can be called, and to find out where Mark is. I know she won't settle until she knows. When she gets back to me she looks visibly better already, "the security have him, and the police have already been called." She takes my hand, and now I know things will be okay. Everything is going to be alright as long as we have each other.
Shai's POV:
The events from today have been a shock, I know I shouldn't complain as people have worse problems around the world, but this has made me think more valuably about life. How much I appreciate Theo, my friends and my family. Me and Theo have to leave the hotel soon, we have two weeks left. I know I'm ready as I keep all my belongings in a suitcase, Theo's nowhere near ready. The thought makes me sad, not living close to him anymore. My mind drifts to the cold, empty house I live in. I don't need it if I'm honest, I really don't need it at all. My nan does, maybe I'll give it to her. After everything's she's done for me she deserves to live an easy life. I abruptly stop thinking about my family, I miss them dearly and I know I'll cry if I think too much. I look up at Theo about to tell him about my house and giving it to my nan but his in a deep sleep. He looks so peaceful and carefree when he sleeps. I decided whilst he was asleep I'll go get some lunch from the small café in the hospital. I kiss his forehead, and tell the nurse where I'm going incase Theo needs me.
The corridors are plain white throughout the whole hospital, it's daunting like I'm in a never-ending maze. The only way I know where I'm going is thanks to the occasional signs with different wards and directions to the café. As I approach it I hear the chatter of people sitting enjoying a cup of coffee with a friend, possible visiting them and catching up. It makes me smile, that even though everybody's in such a dull place, mainly full of upset, that everybody still seems happy. I go to the sandwiches and pick out a BLT, and I grab Theo a milkshake, to remember our first time together in McDonalds, it's nothing much but for some reason it means so much to me. The lady at the till looks as if she hasn't slept in weeks, but still greets me with a warm smile, and asks how my day's been. I smile and lie, "fine thank-you" I smile to be polite to lady, but partly because my day's been far from fine.
