Chara mumbled to Asriel. "Hey wanna explore?"
Asriel replied feeling unsure. "Is that even a good idea?"
Chara said. "Everyone is going to sit here gloomy and worried for a while. I rather we do something while we wait for any news on our mom. Plus it could be fun and maybe lighten our moods a little. Exploring this place might be fun!"
Asriel spoke feeling confused. "But we just got here Chara."
Chara sighs. "I know that but I don't want to stay here sad and scared. I've had enough of feeling sadness and fear! Maybe, we can find out more about this Gaster or something while we are at it! Be the sneaky spies!" Chara laughs.
Asriel nodded. "Well, I guess..let's go!" They get off quietly from their seats.
Asgore says to them both. "Where are you both off too?"
Chara thought to themselves. *I wonder...* Chara looks at their dad and says. "Please don't be mad, but Asriel and I wanted to go exploring...We should have asked. But since i told you, maybe we could all explore together?"
Asgore looking alarmed. "I do not want you two going alone, we do not know anything about this Gaster, other than what your mother knows"
Alphys speaks to them. "I-It looks like an alternate version of my Lab, you know maybe looking a-around wouldn't b-be such a bad idea? Maybe we c-could dig-u-up some information?"
Undyne has her arms crossed, she briefly looks at Temmie then back at them. "What about grumpy cat over there? Wouldn't he see us?"
Temmie's left ear twitched. He hears them whispering, but cannot make out what they are saying and does not care too. He heard the quote. **Grumpy Cat.** He shook his head, while checking the status of Toriel's health on the Tank and other important Diagnostics. He gets out **The Soul medicine.**
Asgore looks at it and feels queasy.
Alphys says. "I-I am sure it's nothing harmful. do needles bother you?"
Asgore spoke and said. "No, but seeing that near her bothers me."
Alphys replied. "Think of it as a trip to the doctor's office."
Asgore raised his right eyebrow at her.
Alphys laughed nervously and said. "Okay, bad example...Well, why not have one of us do a diversion?"
Undyne grinned. "I could do that easily!"
Chara says with a sigh. "Asriel and I could sneak into the other room! We're the smallest ones here!"
Asgore says. "But Gaster went in there, you know maybe we should wait..."
Sans said. "asgore, maybe we should just let your kids explore, like they planned originally. I doubt gaster will let anything bad happen. He is very serious about his goals, i do not think he'll let anything happen to any of us. tori especially."
Asgore replied. "Alright."
Asgore looks at Undyne and says. "Undyne, as Captain of The Royal Guard. I ask that you go with them"
Undyne said in a concerned tone. "Ask? You're the king, I would go willingly."
Undyne says in a serious tone. "They are safe in my hands!"
Asgore smiles. "Thank you."
Undyne looks at Mettaton. "Want to be the diversion!?"
Mettaton replied. "I would be glad darling!"
Undyne,looks at Chara and Asriel and nods, they start to sneak off.
Mettaton suddenly makes a loud noise with his soundtrack. "OOOOOOOOH!!!!! YEEEEEEEEEESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!"
He starts to play his loud game show music and he says. "Hello! We have a little Temmie here and he looks very serious and what a lovely little Temmie he is!"
Temmie says to him with a frown and ears down, their ringing from the loud sounds. "What are you doing!? Are you trying to wake her!? Be Quiet!"
Mettaton says in a dramatic voice. "Don't be salty! She's still asleep, everyone needs their moods lightened and what better person than me!"
Temmie thinks to himself. *Gaster, why did you bring them? Especially that Annoying Robot!*
Alphys looks around and notices Cameras. She says in a nervous voice. "A-Asgore we are being recorded. I hope our whispered conversations were not heard or your children being seen running off with Undyne. This is bad!"
Sans says to Alphys. "maybe temmie won't check the cameras. i mean he is busy with tori, and right now he's talking to mettaton."
Asgore says. "I hope everything will be fine."
Papyrus is speechless from everything that recently happened. He has no idea what to say or how to act in the situation.
Papyrus briefly thinks to himself. *EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT! I JUST KNOW IT! THE KING KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING AND UNDYNE IS THE BEST! HIS CHILDREN WILL BE SAFE!*
He smiled to himself.
Temmie starts to turn around, until he hears something fall over, to see Mettaton standing over a broken empty vials.
Temmie cursed under his breath. He says with a hiss. "Will you stop it!? I need to concentrate...Don't you want her to get better?"
Hearing that Mettaton stops and walks back to Asgore,Sans,Papyrus and Alphys.
Temmie Mumbled to himself briefly. "Good, it's quiet again. No more interruptions." He continues.
Where Undyne,Chara and Asriel are at. They are sneaking around behind corners, looking around corners and hiding around large boxes.
Undyne says. "I have no idea what we should be looking for, but seeing as he is a scientist and from what Toriel told us, the "original" royal scientist. I think I will understand some of the stuff I see once I get a glance. Maybe. I mean being around Al long enough, you learn alot of things."
She laughed.
Chara said. "I do not know what to look for, but if it looks weird, i will look at it or read it."
Asriel said. "I know how science equipment works and might be able to help. I remember stuff from when i was Flowey. I might be able to help alot."
Asriel sighed. "Again, I'm sorry."
Undyne pats his left shoulder with her right hand. "It's fine, no need to say sorry."
Asriel looks up at her and smiled a little bit. They hear a nearby crash. Asriel clings to Undyne, Chara raises her fists, attempting to be the brave sibling and Undyne has her spear summoned and ready. It turns out to be a small rat, coming out of a hole in a wall.
(Temmie won't like discovering that XD hehehe, reason for this Rat.)
Asriel sighed. "Only a rat, wait a Rat? Wouldn't this place be cleaner then that?"
Undyne scratched her chin and thought for a moment. *Yeah, it should be, but who knows. I guess they were all too busy to clean the lab completely.*
(Temmie would be all fhdusgfdysz over that statement XD)
They walk past the rat hole, Asriel has this sudden eerie feeling and clings even more to Undyne. Undyne looks down at him and says. "Hey, it was just a Rat, whats wrong?"
Asriel says. "I feel like something is wrong, i'm scared."
Undyne replied with a smile. "Hey, don't worry so much, you have me here to protect you, both of you!"
Chara says in a curious tone. "How strong are you?"
Undyne grinned. "I am captain of the royal guard! I am very powerful! and what i do means everything to me! Protecting all monsters and it's rulers..."
She thinks of Gasters goals.
Her thoughts. *I wonder if he means what he says, I like everything about it, but the Daughter part. I do not trust him because of that!*
She sighed and said to Asriel with a big smile. "You have nothing to worry about. Lets continue on alright?"
They both nod and resume walking together only to hear a door open, they hide. It's Gaster. He is holding two large boxes, one is labeled **Soul-Document's.** and the other is **Audio Recordings.**
Gaster places them down and sees the Rat. His eye-sockets go black, he says with disgust. "Disgusting! Why is a Rat in the Lab!"
Gaster thinks to himself. *Wait, there should not be a rat here at all. Temmie and I are very paranoid of the environment of the Lab and how clean it is, we are always both very thorough. Oh no, it is not that type of Rat Is it!?*
He snaps his fingers and teleports to where Temmie is at.
(Where Temmie and the others are at.)
Gaster appears at the door. Temmie looks in his direction, he notices his disturbed expression and walks over to him. "By your expression something is wrong."
Gaster says to Temmie. "I saw a Rat, but not just any Rat. I think it was one of the Rats that only hang around The Savestar. You know how careful we both are with this place!"
Temmie looks very unhappy with what he just heard. "Wait a minute, did you just say a Rat!? Ehh, well fill me in on this special Rat."
Gaster says in a stressed voice. "I do not really know much about it myself. But there is always a Rat around a Savestar at any given time, from the universe's i have been too or when i have been briefly in our universe. They did not exist awhile back."
Temmie spoke and said. "My guess is they started to appear after you were erased."
Gaster nods and says to him with his arms crossed. "It might be a problem for us somehow. Not to mention Rats are disgusting little creatures. But seeing as it is not a normal Rat, who knows what it symbolizes or what it is capable of."
Temmie says in a calm tone. "It might not even be a threat at all and could just symbolize the Savestar possibly."
Gaster raised his right bonebrow. "Why a Rat?"
Temmie shrugged.
A female computer voice says. **Soul Healing Process will be done in 1 hour.** It glitched. **24 hours.**
Temmie and Gaster mouthed. "What the-"
They go through the computer's settings and safety protocols. One screen is flashing red. Gaster said. "TEMMIE, TURN OFF THE TANK NOW! ITS INJECTING DETERMINATION INTO HER SOUL! SHE DOES NOT NEED MORE! IT WILL KILL HER!"
Temmie replied. "That's impossible! We do not any recent subjects!" He attempts to shut it off, nothing happens. Gaster punches through the tank to open it, only to have issues, his left hand is now bleeding not his best choice of actions.
Asgore runs to the tank and forces it open after getting Gaster's hand out. Dust and Horror left earlier on some errands he put them both on.
Asgore gets her out.
Toriel starts to wake up, only to start sweating alot.
She feels worse than earlier. Gaster yells out to Asgore. "ASGORE LET HER GO NOW!"
Asgore replied. "Why would i-OH MY GOD!" She starts to melt. Gaster turns her blue and manages to get her away from him in time. He teleports to a backup table and shoves her in without the wires. He presses a button. He says to Temmie. "TURN IT ON! NOW! ACTIVATE IT AND GO THROUGH CODE-66-2307!"
Gaster gets the soul medicine. He injects it into her soul. Temmie quickly inputs the code and activates the machine.
Alphys runs up and says. "I-If you need any extra assistance I could help."
Gaster looks in her direction. "Help Granted! Do what you can to assist us in stabilizing Toriel! In the meantime, i will go and clean this reckless wound I inflicted upon myself at the last minute!"
Asgore said. "I will help you."
He follows Gaster to a table that has medical supplies. He helps Gaster tend to his wounds and gets out all of the glass shards.
Gaster says. "I will do an Analysis on The Soul Medicine, it should have done something! I will run scans on her soul! Everything necessary to save her."
Asgore is glad to hear that, he says. "You really intend to help her, you still do not have intentions on making her into your child do you?"
Gaster sighed. "From what I have seen so far, it is Guaranteed. I am sorry."
Asgore glared at him for a moment he said. "I do not want that to happen, I am glad you have concern and care for her safety. But changing her life is unnecessary."
Gaster replied. "We can talk about this later!"
Asgore grabbed him by his shoulders with a growl. "I WILL NOT LOSE MY WIFE! YOU CAN SAVE HER DIFFERENTLY, THAN CHANGING HER INTO YOUR CHILD LATER ON! AS YOUR KING I PREVENT IT! I DO NOT SEE HOW IT COULD BE HELPFUL IN ANY WAY AT ALL! YOU BETTER HOPE SHE LIVES OR SO HELP ME!"
He shook Gaster briefly for a moment while speaking. He turns blue. Dust speaks. "calm down the hell down! Look, gaster said now is not the time to talk about it alright? oh god...what the hell happened here!?"
Horror puts the boxes down and says to Gaster. "what do you want us to do?"
Gaster says. "Bring them back home, it's for their safety!"
Asgore said in a booming voice. "NO! I WILL NOT LEAVE HER BEHIND!"
Sans says to him. "hey, calm down..." Tears fall from Asgore's eyes.
Asgore says under his breath before speaking out loud to Sans. "I can't lose her...Tori."
He says to Sans in a worried voice. "I will try to calm down."
His children come to mind and Undyne.
He tries to move but to no aveil.
(Where Undyne,Chara and Asriel are at.)
All three see a shining object ahead. Undyne says to them, struggling to see what is what ahead. "What the heck is that?"
Asriel feels upset and hides behind her guessing on what it is. Chara walks closer and sees nothing, the bright object disappeared. Asriel cried. "I wanna go back to mom!"
Undyne nods. "I agree, i am not seeing anything important here. Lets go!"
They run through the hall recklessly not hiding now, with cameras recording their every move. Temmie somehow hears notifications from the camera during all of the chaos and sees them on screen. He says in a annoyed tone. "WHAT!?"
He can't escape where he is, because he is needed. Undyne,Chara and Asriel return to the room to see everything going on. Both Chara and Asriel start to panic. Papyrus is as well. Mettaton runs up to Undyne. "Any idea on what we should do?"
Undyne says. "No idea, oh damn this is bad..."
Asriel and Chara see the light again. Same for Undyne, Even Dust, now Horror.
Horror mouthed. "what the hell is that?" They all walk towards it.
Horror not doing as he was told. They all walk towards it and without thinking, touch the object, only to scream. Chara and Asriel are shoved back against the wall, where Temmie is at. As if something threw them both his direction. Horror and Dust see images in their mind, past to possibly future. Horror screams and passes out.
Dust manages to stand up. Dust says to Gaster with a frown. "i'll return them." Gaster shouted to him. "WHAT HAPPENED!?"
Dust feeling an effect from it, he decides not to answer him. Dust rounds everyone up and leaves with Sans,Papyrus,Undyne,Mettaton,Asgore,Chara and Asriel. Alphys is still at the lab, she is needed there. Dust brings them back to Toriel's house, Asgore almost grabs Dust, only to be turned blue and thrown into Toriel's chair.
Dust leaves through the TV. (Back in the Lab, 12 hours later.)
Everything is cleaned up. Toriel is lying on a bed. Gaster has his hand in bandages. Temmie sighed. "The Savestar messed up again, Her falling down into the underground and dying yesterday and her stress built up caused it. Not to mention killing Frisk. That really did it!"
Gaster replied with a sigh. "Her wounds as well. At Least she is fine now and we managed to take out most of The Determination in Time."
Alphys speaks to them both. "W-want me to leave?" Gaster says in a tired tone. "Do you want to stay?"
Alphys replied. "I-I have my own lab to to t-tend too and besides she is safe and healed. I also have Undyne and friends were i live. I am not important enough for anything like this..." She looks down at the ground with a sigh.
Gaster speaks to her. "You are a very important person, don't ever forget it. I thank you for your help."
Alphys, surprised at his words, she says. "H-How am i important?"
Gaster says with a proud smile. "You are also The Royal Scientist and as such We both have the duty of serving and protecting other Monsters and helping them anyway we can. Our roles are and will always be important. Never forget it or have doubts."
Alphys says feeling unsure. "I-I Thank you."
Gaster puts his right hand on Alphy's right shoulder for a moment. "You're welcome."
Gaster pushes a button on his belt. "I will return you home. I need to come back and be with her when she awakes."
Alphys nods, she says. "Does she really have to become your child?"
Gaster says in a serious tone. "I could try to prevent it but it looks like the possibility of doing so is impossible now."
Alphys sighed and says to him. "Everyone she knows, we will all our remaining moments with her, do you think we can come back when that time comes?"
Gaster replied. "I am uncertain about that being possible, I will try."
He thinks to himself. *I will consider the possibility. But how would it affect Toriel later on, or all of us together in general? This will take some deep thought and consideration.*
Gaster rubbed his chin. He brings Alphys back to Toriel's house and leaves. He returns through the portal. Temmie speaks to him and says. "We have company."
Gaster looks down and guessed right, he sees Chara and Asriel. They look upset and worried. They run up to Toriel and hug her. Chara says to them both. "Can we stay and leave with her?"
Gaster says with a sigh. "Sure, but do not get into anything."
They both reply to Gaster. "Alright."
Gaster gets them some chairs for them to sit in, they sit by Toriel's bedside. Gaster gets them some water and Temmie checks her forehead for any possible fever. Shes fine. Temmie wearing a fresh pair of gloves.
Temmie walks to a box and grabs a bag bigger then himself, dragging it along. Chara and Asriel help. It is a blanket.
Temmie says to them. "Here, that will keep her warm. I am going to go and wash up, she'll be awake soon. I'll get her something to drink and wear afterwards."
He heads towards the bathroom. He opens and closes the door. 10 minutes later, he sees her awake and embracing her children. They are laughing together happily about something. Temmie walks up and Toriel says with a tired smile. "Thank you."
Temmie surprised she is not panicking or anything of the sort. He replied. "You're welcome."
Toriel sighed. "There is no way in avoiding it huh? My Future..."
Temmie replied. "Yeah, from the looks of it."
She holds her children closer, she says to Gaster and Temmie in a sad yet serious voice. "Promise me this please..."
Temmie's right ear twitched. He says. "What promise?"
Toriel says. "Please make sure my children will always be a part of my life, i know asgore cannot later on...But i atleast want my children to be! I do not want to lose them again. Memory or not. I want to always be with them!"
Temmie sighed. "I can't guarantee this promise will happen. But I'll attempt it."
Gaster replied to Toriel as well and he said, "I agree with Temmie, we will both do our best."
Toriel says to both Gaster and Temmie, feeling tired. "Think of it as a last royal request, or in this case something I ask of you both."
Gaster replied. "We will do our best to make it possible."
Temmie looks up at Gaster and mumbled. "It sounds like a gamble to me, if we can pull this off, then that will mean they will have to live with us..."
Gaster replied to him quietly. "They are perfectly well behaved children, I believe we can achieve this promise."
Temmie replied. "Alright and behaved are you sure about that?"
Gaster replied with a smile. "Yes I am."
Toriel replied. "Okay, if you're sure. But I saw them sneaking with Undyne the other day around the lab on the screen."
Gaster replied. "I saw the recording. They will have no doubts in trusting us soon enough, they were just curious about us."
They stop talking quietly to one another. Toriel says to them with her eyebrow raised. "Do you think we can go now?"
Gaster replied. "I advise showering first,changing your clothes and then more rest, some food and then you can all leave."
Chara and Asriel are annoyed. Chara tugs at Gasters sleeve and they say. "Hey!"
He looks down. "Yes? What is it child?"
Chara looking frustrated, they say. "I was hoping we could leave sooner! Also we do not want her to be your kid!"
Chara sighed. "But if that has to be the case then..."
They suddenly grin. "I will make a nickname for you! I am sure Asriel did too!"
Gaster thinks to himself. *Great...*
(Imagine the expression and mood towards this anyway you want lol.)
Both Chara and Asriel shout out. "GRANDPAL GASTER!" they both giggle over it.
Dust snickered, he is nearby, sweeping left over messes from the events that took place earlier.
Horror is at the espresso machine, on break. He goes and sits down nearby. He says to Gaster and Temmie. "those twerps, will be living with us later on? fun!" Gaster glared in Horror's direction for a moment. His thoughts. *Show some respect! They are the children of the King and Queen!*
Gaster turned back to Chara with a calmer expression.
Asriel yawned. "Mind if i take a nap?"
Gaster replied. "Sure." He leads Asriel to the closest Bed. Guest beds that never got used. Asriel lays down, looking in his mom's direction, he has issues going to sleep.
Chara walks up to Asriel and feeling worried for their mom, nervous about the lab. They hug Asriel, Chara says to him. "Goodnight!"
Asriel smiled and said. "Goodnight Chara!" They both fall asleep.
Toriel gets up slowly and she says. "Where is the bathroom? I do not remember the last time i was here very well."
Gaster leads her to the bathroom. She enters it and closes the door, and locks it. Gaster says with a concerned tone. "I rather you not lock it, you are still in a fragile state and healing."
Toriel replied, sounding annoyed and tired. "Fine."
Toriel unlocks it. 1 hour later, now leaving the bathroom and wearing the gown given to her earlier. Stretching and feels relief over feeling no pain surprisingly. Feeling happy about it.
Toriel looks to see her children sleeping and she smiles in their direction. Toriel walks over to her children, lifting them from the bed they are sleeping on, they are still asleep. She goes to her bed and sees
Gaster near the large table near The Tank. He says. "I see you are ready, try eating first."
Toriel feeling annoyed over all the orders. She says. "I will eat when I return home with my children."
Gaster nods and presses a button on his belt. He looks at Temmie and says. "I'll be back later."
Temmie replied. "Alright."
Gaster,Toriel and her children enter the portal and return to their universe, arriving back at her house through her Television.
