POV 3rd Person
More pillars of fire rose from the ground between Desmond and Lilith, blocking the path between them. Lilith threw a magic attack to one of the pillar. This attack was immediatly burnt away when it made contact.
Desmond: Sorry, but that won't work.
He then rushed towards the Dragon, passing through the pillars, not taking any kind of damage, and punched Lilith away. As she landed back on her feet, the Dragon went up to the sky. Lord Infernus created a bow out of Hell Fire and shot several arrow at Rizevim's body guard, forcing her to dodge. Since she was between the pillars, she had difficulty evading. However, she managed to get closer to her opponent. As she rushed towards him, a pillar of fire raised where he was, visibly consumming him. Lilith stopped and looked around her, trying to see where the next attack would come from.
On her right side, there was another pillar. Out of it came out Desmond, punching the Dragon into the pillar on her left. She was able to put a barrier around her, allowing her to stay on the surface of the pillar and not completly entering it. As she fell on the ground, her back was smoking.
Lilith: W-what is that?
Desmond: I call these Hell pillars. I created them by making the particles under the ground boil. It makes them need to release the heat, causing these explosive pillars. Now, of course, they will disappear at some point. The first ones already did... but that doesn't mean that there isn't more particles, atoms in the ground.
More smaller pillars came out of the ground. Lilith slalomed between them and was finally able to land a hit on the Lord. Desmond then created a fire hammer and jumped in the air. Lilith went to dodge but more pillars came out around her, cornering her. She watched above her and put up her guard as a heavy hit from the Lord pounded her into the ground.
Desmond jumped back and the Dragon struggled to get up.
Desmond: My son asked me not to kill you. You should stay down.
Lilith: My duty... is to protect Rizevim...
The Devil sighed and flew up into the air. He then raised his right hand and the pillars started to regroup into an energy ball.
Desmond: When my son fought you, he left you only injured. I am not as merciful as him. This time... stay down. Hell Bringer - Absolute Disaster!
He threw the sphere towards the ground. Lilith tried to hold it but was overwelmed. As it exploded, everyone except Eos and Crom Cruach raised a barrier. The duo didn't care since they were immune to most types of fire. A huge heat wave disperced on Agreas, reducing most concrete to ashes.
Eos: For a split second... Agreas became hotter than the sun... you overdid it again, father.
During the fight against Lilith, Eos' peerage reached Rizevim. He was sitting on a throne.
Rizevim: So Infernus sent out his slaves to take on me? Who does he think I am?
He got up and instantly got attacked by the two Knights. However, he was able to catch both swords in his hand.
Masaomi: What?! How?
Rizevim: Boy, I am the one who revived you and yet you try to kill me. How rude.
He kicked the male in the stomach, sending him crashing in a wall. He then looked at Xenovia.
Rizevim: And you... an exorcist who became a Devil... how pathetic.
He threw her to the side and launched a magic attack. It got stopped by a barier created by Rossweisse. The Valkyrie then went on the offensive. She battled Lucifer with her wand. Her Rook's abilities gave her more physical strenght, allowing her to make more damage than Xenovia and Masaomi.
Rizevim: Valkyrie... Vampire... exorcists... is he gonna convert everything in sight to a superior race?
She then summoned a magic circle, a beam of light came out of it, hitting Rizevim in the chest and sending him crashing into a wall. However, as he got up, they noticed that he didn't receive any damage. Actually, he did, but Sephiroth Graal healed him. But he wasn't the only one who used his Longinus. He was slashed in the back by Masaomi and letted out a scream of pain.
Rizevim: Argh! How did you-?!
He looked over to see Valerie healing Xenovia.
Rizevim: This little... your power is mine, Tepes!
As he lifted his hand to cancel her Gear, he was hit from above with a water Dragon, crashing on him.
Ingvild: Don't forget about me. Now, Odd-Eyes!
The four Dragons descended from the sky and rushed to Rizevim. He got punched, burnt, electrocuted among other things. Lucifer then sent out a huge shock wave, sending the Dragons in four different directions.
Rizevim: You think you can kill me?! You are dumber than I thought, Leviathan!
He used his Sacred Gear canceller to knock Ingvild and Valerie uncouncious. The remaining members all rushed towards Rizevim who handled the fight extremly well. He punched Rossweisse, kicked Xenovia and sent a magic blast to Masaomi. As the three were on the ground, he approached them.
Rizevim: Don't worry, soon enough, your master will join you in death.
As he prepared himself to finish them, he was hit in the back by a Holy blast, throwing him to the side.
Xenovia: You are... Cao Cao?
Cao Cao: We need to attack him now, before he can heal.
Masaomi: You came here despite his Sacred Gear canceller? You have a lot of courage!
Cao Cao: You will praise me later. All three of us have Holy weapons, he won't resist for to long.
As the three went to attack, they were interrupted by a familiar voice.
Irina: Wait for me!
The Ace of Michael arrived on the scene. With four wielders of Holy weapons, they shouldn't have any difficulty defeating Rizevim, right?
Cao Cao: I have a plan, follow my lead.
The four of them rushed towards the Devil who finished healing already. The Hero Faction leader jumped and tried to hit Rizevim with his spear but the Devil dodged. However, what he didn't know was that getting behind him was Cao Cao's plan. The True Longinus wielder slammed the ground with his spear, causing a burst of Holy light to get to Lucifer who was forced to raise a barrier. The others understood. They stood in front and on the two sides of Rizevim and did the same, forcing Lucifer to transform his barier into a shield. Masaomi was in front, Cao Cao behind, Xenovia on the left and Irina on the right.
Rizevim: Sephiroth Graal make my energy infinite! You will not destroy this barrier with such pathetic strenght!
Masaomi: That's why we're in a cross!
Rizevim: What?
Irina: Yes, since we are in thks specific formation, the enegy sent by Xenovia is redirected into my Hauteclere and then amplified. After that, the Holy energy is redirected to you, but since you block it, Xenovia gets it back.
Xenovia: And then, Ex-Durandal amplifies the Holy energy once again and send it back to Irina. The same works for Cao Cao and Masaomi!
Cao Cao: You understand? You're stuck in an infinite loop. The more you block the attack, the more powerful it becomes. And once your shield breaks, you will take it's full force.
For the first time in the fight, Rizevim looked worried. If he letted his shield down now, he would take a huge amount of damage. But if he kept it up, he will take even more damage once it breaks. Lucifer then saw his shield starting to crack.
Masaomi: You thought it was a bluff, didn't you? How ironic... bringing me back to life will only cause your end! Now die!
The shield finally broke apart and Rizevim was hit by the full power of four amplified Holy weapons.
Rizevim: ARGHH!!!!!
A huge explosion happened, sending the four attackers in different directions. As the cloud of dust settled down, Rizevim was on the ground, panting. His lower jaw partially missing, his left arm broken in half and his clothes burning. He healed slowly, but if someone was able to finish him, he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Thankfully, the Holy explosion weakened the Devils in the area. And slowly but surely, Rizevim's missing body parts grew back, healed by Sephiroth Graal.
As he got up, he saw up in the sky his old friend Desmond Infernus holding a giant fireball.
Rizevim: I guess you served your purpose... Lilith...
He created a barrier around the area, protecting himself and the DxD members he fought from the heat wave. However, there was someone he didn't know he protected. And some other people coming close to the area as well.
Sairaorg: Rizevim! I'm back from the dead! And I'm here to finish what I started!
The Devil chuckled.
Rizevim: Oh... and you're gonna kill me by yourself?
A voice then cale from behind.
Tobio: He is not by himself.
The Devil turned around to see to human, including a magician with a wolf.
Rizevim: Ah... an army of Longinus users? I should thank you. Now I don't even have to hunt you down to take you Gears!
An Angel then came down from the sky.
Dulio: We came here all to stop you.
Bubbles appeared on the battleground.
Rizevim: I guess that this is you Balance Breaker.
Cao Cao: And you haven't seen anything!
Everyone looked to the side where they could see the Hero Faction leader standing back up.
Rizevim: AHAHAHAH! You will all die here and give me everything I need to win my war!
A golden light appeared around Sairaorg and a Black one appeared around Tobio. They both got into their Balance Breaker. Snow started to fall on the battle ground and thunder groaned. Finally, orbs appeared around the Holy Spear of the Setting Sun.
Cao Cao: You have manipulated me for to long!
Sairaorg: Your attacks destroyed my country!
Dulio: You stole relics from Heaven!
Lavinia: You have no regards for any life!
Tobio: You suggested your son that he beat Valianah and her mother! I will not forgive you!
All: It's time to die!
The three physical type rushed to Rizevim as Qlippoth's leader summoned a barrier to stop Sairaorg's hit. He then kicked Cao Cao away and dodge the scythe of Tobio.
Tobio: How dare you! You made her suffer so much!
He attacked to no result.
Rizevim: So what? My son was scared of her Longinus. I made him take action. Why does it matter to you anyway?
Tobio: For four years, Azazel took care of us. My parents died, so I had no one. But Azazel took care of us!
Rizevim: Azazel is a fool, boy...
Tobio finally landed a hit, slashing the Devil across the cheek.
Tobio: You shut up! This clingy little sister... I had to reassure her every night. Because she thought that Azazel would do the same thing to her as your son... You asshole... You will die by my hand!
As he went for another attack, Rizevim finally used his Sacred Gear canceller to deactivate the armor. He then pushed the boy away with air pressure.
Rizevim: You think that a lowly mortal could kill the son of Lucifer... utterly pathetic...
He turned around and put his guard as the next one in line was Bael. He cancelled the Longinus again but the punch was still powerful, making Lucifer move back.
Rizevim: A Devil... born with no magic. You are a disgrace to our race, boy!
He sent out a huge magic attack to the tired Sairaorg, kocking him out.
From above, Cao Cao attacked. Rizevim noticed and put his hand towards the sky, the spear stabbing it.
Cao Cao: You... tanked it?
A white aura appeared around the Devil and the spear broke apart. He cancelled the Gear, once again.
Cao Cao: Wha...?
Rizevim: An army of Sacred Gear users against me... you really were no threat in the beginning.
He punched the man in the stomach, making him spit out blood and rendering him uncouncious.
However, he didn't noticed the two other users that were on the side. One of Dulio's bubble touched the arm of the Devil and as it popped, the arm started to freeze.
Rizevim: Huh?!
More bubbles came to him. Earth wind and fire... every element attacked him. Lavinia on her side blinded Rizevim by using her blizzard to freeze the eyes of her opponent.
Rizevim: Enough... enough!
His rage exploded, destroying parts of the city and sending the two Longinus users to the side. He then healed himself with his own Longinus.
Rizevim: You can be as proud as you want, come in groups, elaborate strategies... but in the hand... insects are insects...
From above, a double Longinus smasher came but Rizevim just caught it in his bare hand and crushed it.
Rizevim: Aren't you two supposed to be the strongests of the bunch? How amusing, no one can kill me.
Issei and Valianah were raging. Both of them had reasons to kill the man but they needed to calm down.
Issei: Come on... we can do this... Valianah, please...
The clenched fists of the Empress relaxed hearing the relaxed tone of her boyfriend.
Valianah: You're right... let's get him together...
They nodded at each other and rushed towards Lucifer. But it was not enough.
A grin on his face, Rizevim punched the two strongest Longinus users in the gut, destroying both armors and ending the fight in one hit. They both spat out blood. Rizevim removed his fists and hit them both with his elbows in the back of the head, making them fall over.
Rizevim: The Boosted Gear... it will allow me to beat even Desmond... guess you will be the first to die, Emperor.
However, as he reached for Issei, his hand was caught in a black whip, keeping him away from the boy. As he turned to his new assaillant, he saw Kuroka.
Rizevim: You are a courageous one, I will give you that... well, after your father experimented on you, I guess that you don't fear anything anymore. How is your mother by the way? Oh yeah, she's dead.
The eyes of the Nekomata widdened, but she kept her grip tight.
Kuroka: If I had the strenght, I would kill you. But I have friends to help... anyway, someone else will take care of you.
Lucifer then heard someone climbing the stairs that led to this part of the city. His eyes widdened as he saw his former friend.
Rizevim: D-Desmond...?!
Desmond: I did not kill the Dragon, but it's only because my son asked me to, not because of you.
The expression on Lucifer's face was a mix of fear, anger, disappoitment and shock. They did not see each other since the civil war after all.
