Music plays on the radio as Wanda and I clean up for Dottie. I didn't want to, I almost told Dottie to go to hell but Wanda begged me to stay with her. I could never leave her alone when she needs me. I sweep while she places a heavy tray of used dishes on the table. "And that is why you never do a seating chart on an empty stomach," Dottie voices.
Wanda walks back over to pick up more items and smiles. "Golly, you're a whiz at all this committee stuff, Dottie. Thank you for choosing me to help you clean up today, I feel so lucky," she kisses up.
"You are," Dottie answers. I roll my eyes.
"Yes, this is such an educational experience for me... and for you! Watching me sweep so you can know how to do it yourself next time!" I fire, mocking her voice. Wanda suddenly releases a boisterous laugh.
"AHA... what she means to say is thank you," she lies. Dottie narrows her eyes and gives us a forced smile. "I can't help but wonder if you and I haven't gotten off on the wrong foot, Dottie. And I would like to correct that if I can," Wanda mentions, stepping toward her.
"And how would you do that?" Dottie asks. I roll my eyes while Wanda nervously chuckles. Dottie stands up and says, "I've heard things about you two..." We furrow our eyebrows as we watch her. "And about your husband, and your father."
I approach her and stop in front of her. "Say what you want about me, but keep my father's name out of your mouth," I warn. Wanda stands next to me and pats my arm.
"Well, I don't know what you have been told... but I assure you we don't mean anyone any harm."
"I don't believe you," Dottie tells her. We just stare at her dumbfounded while she glares back at us. The radio begins to crackle as the song changes and an unfamiliar voice sounds through it.
"Wanda. Wanda, can you read me? Over," it says over the music. "Wanda? Y/n?"
"Who is that?" Dottie questions.
"Y/n?"
Dottie looks at us with a scared expression. "Who are you?"
"Y/n? Wanda? Who is doing this to you, Wanda? Y/n? Wanda? Y-"
The radio blows a fuse, making the voice stop. Dottie breaks her glass at the same time, cutting her hand. We all gasp in shock. "Dottie!" Wanda exclaims. She opens her hand to reveal red blood. I stare at it, confused as to why it's not in black and white. Wanda continues to stutter.
"You... Oh!" she voices, rushing to grab a cloth and handing it to Dottie.
"Are you alright?" I ask.
Dottie ignores my question and takes the cloth. "Pop quiz, Wanda." Wanda and I gaze at her in confusion. "How does a housewife get a bloodstain out of white linen?" she asks.
"By burning it?" I suggest, confused as to why she's asking that. Dottie shakes her head.
"By doing it herself," she states before sauntering away. Wanda and I just stand there, bewildered by what just happened.

It's almost time for our performance. After the whole Dottie situation, I went home and rehearsed with Peter and Tony. Peter got the song and dance very fast. We stand backstage and I take a deep breath, trying to calm down. Tony notices and says, "Hey, don't worry, sweetie. We got this! After all, we are Starks... and us Starks are-"
"People of many talents," I finish for him. "Thanks, Dad," I tell him, smiling softly. He returns the smile and kisses my temple before stepping away. Peter comes up to me now with a timid grin.
"Hi."
"Hi," I return. He slightly fidgets, looking nervous.
"You look really nice," he compliments me. My heart flutters and my smile grows at this.
"Thank you... so do you," I reply. We just stare at each other until a voice catches our attention.
"And now for our next act... I present to you, Y/n, Peter, and Tony," Dottie announces. I take another deep breath as we line up at the curtain.
"Good luck, guys!" Geraldine calls out.
"Thanks," I respond before stepping through the curtains. The other two follow after me and we stand on the gazebo, in front of the curtains, with both men on either side of me.
"Hit it!" Tony yells and the music starts playing. We perform our dance moves to the music before the singing part starts.
"Imagine me and you," I commence, descending down the steps.
"I do," Peter continues, coming up on my right side.
"I think about you day and night"
"It's only right," Tony sings from my left.
"To think about the girl you love"
"And hold her tight," Peter sings, twirling me into him. He twirls me back out and I end up in the center again.
"So happy together," We synchronize our movements.
"If I should call you up, invest a dime." We switch positions, spinning clockwise into the next person's spot. Our line turns into a triangle formation with Tony at the top as we stand behind him on either side.
"And you say you belong to me, and ease my mind," he sings. We switch again.
"Imagine how the world would be, so very fine," Peter continues.
"So happy together," we all belt.
"I can't see me loving nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me, baby the skies will be blue
For all my life." We sing together as we dance. I twirl from Peter to Tony and then we form the triangle again with me as the center.
"Me and you, and you and me," I sing. Our bodies face the side while our heads face the audience as we step from one foot onto the other and snap our fingers.
"No matter how they toss the dice, it had to be," Tony sings, spinning to the front.
"The only one for me is you, and you for me," Peter sings when he's in front.
"So happy together," I sing. We continue singing and dancing, changing formations and spinning around the stage. I take turns dancing with Peter and Tony, smoothly transitioning from one partner to the other. We spin and leap through the air, performing various techniques during the instrumental part of the song. We sing together at the end.
"So happy together"
"How is the weather?"
"So happy together"
"We're happy together" I sing while Peter and Tony sing, "Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba"
"So happy together (ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba)"
"Happy together (ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba)"
"So happy together (ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba)"
Our backs face the audience as we slowly walk up the stage and up the steps. We spin around and end in our finishing poses when the music comes to an end. The crowd cheers and we bow before disappearing behind the curtains. I squeal and excitedly jump into Peter's arms before hugging Tony. "They loved us!" I claim.
"Yes, we were great!" Tony adds. We all high-five each other and Geraldine scurries up to us.
"That was amazing! You guys are really good," she compliments us. We all thank her. I glance behind her and notice Vision acting strange.
"Oh... what's wrong with him?" I ask.
"I don't know!" Wanda cries. "What is going on?!" she exclaims. I just give her a confused look.
"You are!" Geraldine tells her. Wanda's head snaps to her.
"Huh?" she mumbles. I jog up to her and take her hands.
"Okay, don't worry! It's going to be fine, you're gonna do..." I trail off, glancing at Vision stumbling around. "...Just fine." Wanda turns to look at Vision and cringes. "We'll cheer you on from the audience!" I tell her.
"Oh, thank you, sister," Wanda breathes out.
"Of course! Knock 'em dead!" I encourage before walking around the gazebo with Peter and Tony. We sit at an empty table in the front and Dottie walks up on stage.
"I want to thank you all for coming out to support Westview Elementary, 'For the children," she announces.
"For the children," the audience says back.
"And for our final act... I give you, Wanda and Vision," Dottie declares before going back to her seat. The audience applauds and I yell, "whoo!"
Wanda emerges from the curtains and steps down the stairs. She stands to the side and gestures to the curtains with a smile. Nothing happens and she stands there anxiously. Peter leans close to me and whispers, "is something supposed to happen?" Suddenly Vision appears from behind the curtains.
"Hello, Westview! Good afternoon! It's so lovely to be- I'm so sorry, excuse me," he interrupts himself when he bumps into the railing.
"Now this is entertaining," Tony comments, making me giggle.
"I am Glamour and this is my delightful assistant, Illusion," Vision voices, gesturing to Wanda.
"I am Glamour and he's Illusion," Wanda corrects him.
"Yeah, what she said."
Oh, this is going to be fun. Vision starts floating in the air, alarming Wanda and I. She manages to demolish any suspicions of our secret by making a rope appear. It goes on like this for the rest of their act. Vision will do something to expose himself and Wanda will save him by showing how they did that "trick." Tony and I exchange concerned glances from time to time, worried that Vision will do something Wanda won't be able to explain.
"And now, ladies and gentlemen, for our grand finale, I bring you... The Magnet of Crysteries!"
Wanda rolls the cabinet out and corrects, "the Cabinet of Mysteries."
"Yeah, yeah, what she said," Vision yaks, helping Wanda put the cabinet in place. "I will now make my wife... disappear," he announces, opening the cabinet. The audience oohs and he closes the cabinet without Wanda getting in.
"Are you sure you don't want an audience volunteer named 'My husband Ralph?" Agnes calls out, making the crowd laugh. Huh, I just realized I've never seen her husband.
Vision cackles at her comment. "No. Abracadabra!" He hits the cabinet with his wand.
"Uh, sweetheart?"
"Yeah?"
"Hi."
"Oh," Vision realizes Wanda isn't inside the cabinet.
"What's in the box," chants Herb, followed by Norm and sparking the entire crowd to chant as well. "What's in the box," Tony, Peter, and I join in.
"Yeah, what's in the box?" Vision questions. Wanda wiggles her fingers before they open the cabinet, revealing Geraldine. The audience gasps and claps while Geraldine looks around in confusion and smiles.
"Yeah! That's my sister and brother-in-law!" I yell out, clapping.
Vision gazes at Geraldine in bewilderment and Wanda nervously chuckles. "Oh! Oh, yes! Flourish!" he shouts. The three of them grab hands and bow before the couple runs backstage. Dottie gets back on stage to present the trophies.
"And the award for inaugural Musical Performance of the Year goes to... Y/n, Peter, and Tony!"
I gasp while the crowd cheers. The three of us get up and move to the stage. "That was the best song and dance act we've ever seen at any of our talent shows! Congratulations," Dottie praises, handing me the trophy.
"Thank you," I tell her, taking the trophy. I smile at Tony and Peter, and we grab hands and bow as the audience cheers before scurrying off stage. Just as I sit back in my chair, I spot Wanda and Vision trying to sneak away.
"You two! Stop right there," Dottie calls to them, making them freeze like deer in headlights. "Nothing like what you two just did up here has ever happened in the history of our talent show."
"Dottie, we are so..."
"Hilarious," Dottie finishes for Wanda, making her and Vision gaze at each other in puzzlement. "That was the most hilarious act we've ever seen. Wouldn't you all agree?" she addresses the crowd. Everyone claps and cheers in agreement and I chuckle. Wanda laughs in disbelief.
"Oh, yes!" Vision laughs.
"You two come on up! Come on," Dottie gestures them over. They oblige and get on the stage. "On behalf of the planning committee, I would like to award you with the inaugural Comedy Performance of the Year," she declares, handing the trophy to Wanda.
"Oh, thank you," Wanda replies as everyone stands up and applauds. I look back at Tony, who looks just as proud as I feel. My eyes flicker to Peter and he gazes back at me with an adorable grin.
"For the children!" Norm suddenly shouts.
"For the children!" everyone repeats.
🎥🎥🎥
We arrive at Wanda and Vision's house and the couple waltzes through the door, Vision dipping Wanda in his arms. "You were tremendous, Glamour," Vision flirts.
"As were you, Illusion," Wanda returns, chuckling. Tony and I decide to poke fun and waltz into the house too.
"You were magnificent, daughter," Tony mocks Vision, grabbing my hand.
"As were you, father," I dramatically respond, holding the trophy in my other hand. The couple rolls their eyes at us and we cackle.
Wanda walks over to the couch and says, "oh, I don't know what I was so worried about. It wasn't so hard to fit in after all." Vision shuts the front door and comes to sit next to her.
"And all we had to do was be ourselves," he states. I sit next to Wanda and Tony sits next to Vision.
"Well, with a few modifications," Wanda responds.
"All we had to do was show off our amazing talents," I chime in, pointing between me and Tony.
"That's right," Tony affirms, cockily leaning back into the couch and crossing his leg over the other. Vision and Wanda laugh at this.
"And it was all..." Vision starts.
"For the children," we all recite, smiling.
"Well, I think the children might need some popcorn," I pipe up.
"Yes! I agree," Wanda says, standing up and walking away.
"Wanda," Vision calls to her.
"Hmm, what?" she asks as she spins around. Vision stands up and I peek at Wanda and gasp when I notice her pregnant belly. She looks down and gasps as well.
"Holy cow!" Tony exclaims as we both spring up.
Wanda gazes up at her husband and mutters, "Vision... is this really happening?" Tony and I stand off to the side and smile warmly at each other as we hold each other in a side hug.
"Yes, my love. It's really happening," Vision whispers, leaning in for a kiss. The moment is interrupted by a loud thud from outside. We all turn to look at the door. "If it's that damn tree again, I am going to rip it out by the roots!" he exclaims. He walks outside and me and Wanda exchange a concerned glance before we all follow him.
"I don't see anything," I shout out as we walk toward the wooden fence. We all stop on the sidewalk and look around until a noise catches our attention. Down the street, a sewer gate is moving. Something seems to be trying to get out.
"What is that?" Tony questions. The lid is moved from the opening by a hand. "Y/n," he utters, stepping behind me and placing a protective hand on my shoulder.
"Wanda," Vision voices, coming up behind her. A man in a beekeeper outfit climbs out of the sewer, surrounded by bees. He glances around and my face hardens when I recognize the logo on his suit. He turns his head and spots us. Wanda and I don't break our gaze from him as we grab hands.
"No," we state.

"Yes, my love. It's really happening," Vision whispers before they lean in to kiss.
"Looks like the family is getting a little bigger," Tony comments. Wanda pulls away from the kiss and turns to us, giggling at Tony's statement. I glance at Vision and gasp.
"Look!" I point at him. Wanda turns back to him and gasps when she sees his head in color. She grins as she takes his face in her hand.
"Vision..." she whispers. We look around and the entire house transforms from black and white into color. Tony looks down at himself, amazed by the colors. We beam excitedly and embrace in a tight hug while Wanda and Vision kiss.
