"So, what's a single gal like you doing rattling around this big house?" the neighbor asks as she nears the couch.

"Oh, no, I'm not single," Wanda responds, swatting her hand through the air.

"Oh, I don't see a ring!"

Wanda glances down at her hand. "Well, I assure you I'm married," she responds with a smile.

I swing the front door open with a huge smile on my face. "Hiya, honey!" I cheerily greet as I strut into the house. I go straight to Wanda and we hug, giving each other an air kiss. The neighbor watches us in surprise before gleaming.

"Ohhh, well, they do say age is just a number," she comments, chuckling. Wanda slightly giggles.

"Oh, no, we're not married," she clarifies, pointing between the two of us. "I'm married to a man. A human one and tall," she describes, quirkily pointing her finger at the woman, who points back with the same energy. I furrow my eyebrows and scoff.

"Not like you could handle me anyway," I remark, placing my hands on my hips. Wanda just gives me a goofy smile while the neighbor chuckles again.

"Hello, dear, I'm Agnes. What's your name?" the neighbor addresses me, sticking her hand out. I approach her and shake her hand.

"Pleased to meet you, Agnes. I'm y/n," I return.

"So, since you're apparently not the missus... tell me, what's the relation here?" Agnes asks, waving her two pointer fingers at us.

"Oh, this is my little sister. She moved in right across the street with her father," Wanda answers, grasping my shoulders from behind me. I nod in confirmation. Agnes sends us a baffled look.

"Why did you call him 'her father' and not 'our?"

"Because he's not my father," Wanda states.

"Oh! So you only share a mother!"

"No," Wanda and I simultaneously speak, still grinning warmly at Agnes. She gives us a strange look.

"Were you adopted together?"

"No," we say again. Agnes just stares at us with a small grimace before awkwardly laughing.

"Anyway," she loudly voices before speaking at her regular volume. "You're married to a man, you say," she addresses Wanda.

"Yes! As a matter of fact, he'll be home later tonight for a special occasion. Just the two of us," Wanda replies.

"Oh, is it somebody's birthday?" Agnes questions.

Wanda points her finger. "Not a birthday," she shakes her head.

"Well, today isn't a holiday, is it?" Agnes asks, looking away in thought.

"No, it's not a holiday," Wanda says, sounding unsure.

"What about an anniversary?" I chime in.

"Ye... yes!" Wanda confirms, pointing at me. "Yes! It's our anniversary!" We walk over to the couch. She sits next to Agnes and I sit next to Wanda.

"Oh, how marvelous!" Agnes chirps, placing her hands over Wanda's. "How many years?"

"Well, it feels like we've always been together," Wanda responds. Huh, why can't I recall how long they've been married?

Agnes shakes her head. "Lucky gal... the only way Ralph would remember our anniversary is if there was a beer named June 2nd." The three of us giggle at this.

"So what do you have planned?"

"How do you mean?"

"For your special night! A young thing like you doesn't have to do much, but it's still fun to set the scene... Say, I was just reading a crackerjack magazine article called 'How to Treat Your Husband to Keep Your Husband," Agnes yaks, standing up and stepping away. "And let me tell you, what Ralph could really use is 'How to Goose Your Wife So You Don't Lose Your Wife." She cheekily smiles and I giggle.

"Hang on! I'll go grab it and we can start planning! Oh, this is gonna be a gas!" Agnes proceeds, walking out the door. Wanda and I face each other once she's gone and beam at one another.

"She doesn't happen to have an article called 'How to Find a Rich Husband' does she?" I joke, making Wanda playfully roll her eyes and shake her head.

🎥🎥🎥

I look over Wanda's shoulder at her notepad as Agnes reads through a magazine. "And you don't have a song? Nothing special you played at your wedding?" she asks.

"No, nothing special," Wanda answers.

"For my wedding, I want to boogie down the aisle to 'Johnny B. Goode," I pipe up, slightly shimmying my shoulders.

"Oh, how lively!" Agnes chuckles before turning to Wanda. "I'll just loan you some records then... so we've got music covered, decor, wardrobe. Oh! What about seduction techniques?" she questions, leaning closer and smirking.

"Oh, I have those," Wanda utters.

"Mm, I definitely have those," I chime in, looking to the side with a smug smile. Wanda's head snaps to me and she cocks an eyebrow. I turn to her and my smile immediately drops. "I mean- no, I don't... what's 'seduction?" I try to save myself. She rolls her eyes and turns her attention to her notepad. As soon as she takes her eyes off me, I glance at Agnes and slowly nod my head, smirking. She smiles goofily and gives me a thumbs up. We stop when Wanda looks up.

"Just out of curiosity, what does it say?" she inquires.

"That you should stumble when you walk into a room so he can catch you. It's romantic!"

"Not when I do it," I scoff. "The last time I tried that, the guy assumed I had a drinking problem."

"Any other tricks?" Wanda asks, not fond of the technique thanks to my story.

"You could point out that the death rate of single men is twice that of married men," Agnes answers.

"Now that's romantic," Wanda remarks, making the three of us laugh. The phone suddenly rings.

"Oh," Agnes mutters, pointing to it as Wanda stands up to answer it.

"What's the death rate of rich single men versus rich married men?" I ask Agnes. She nudges my shoulder and giggles.

"Vision residence," Wanda announces into the receiver. Vision is the one who called and she talks to him for a while. "And I think the best course of action is to impress the husband," she pipes up, giving Agnes and me a thumbs up. We return the gesture, wearing enormous smiles. "Until tonight," she suddenly says. "Oh..." she mumbles as she hangs up. She walks back over to the couch and I spring up.

"Well, I better be on my way then. My father must be wondering where I am," I declare, making my way to the door.

"Oh, send him my regards!" Wanda says, waving at me.

"Will do!" I reply.

"See you later, hon!" Agnes chirps. I wave at her and exit through the front door. I walk across the street and skip into my house, closing the door behind me.

"Dad?" I call out as I walk into the kitchen.

"In here, sweetheart!"

I enter the garage and see Tony working on a car. "Dad, what are you doing?" I question.

He looks up at me and gleams. "Y/n, sweetheart! You've arrived just in time. I was just applying the finishing touches to my invention," he declares, striding over to me. I gaze at the car with a puzzled look.

"Your invention? Boy, Karl Benz must be rolling in his grave right now," I remark. Tony rolls his eyes.

"No, not the automobile itself!" he claims. I switch my gaze to him, still confused.

"Well, then what?" I lower my head to the side, analyzing the vehicle. "There are no tires."

"Ah," Tony voices, pointing at me. His excited demeanor shifts to a cocky one as he clears his throat, resting a hand on the hood of the car. "What if I told you that in just a few short years, your automobile won't even have to touch the ground at all?" He walks over to a small panel.

I place my hands on my hips as I curiously gaze at him.

"With Stark robotic reversion technology, you'll be able to do just that," he states. He turns a knob on his panel and raises a switch, making the car hover in the air. My jaw drops and I smile in amazement.

I start clapping and shout, "wow, it's a flying car!"

Tony proudly grins until the car malfunctions and falls back on the ground. "Oh!" I gasp, cowering away. I look over at Tony who just smiles and shrugs.

"I did say a few years, didn't I?" he notes. I send him a fond smile.

"Oh, my dad and his inventions. I gotta say, this was quite swell... even if it was a complete failure," I comment, smiling brightly. Tony furrows his eyebrows.

"Thanks?" he utters. "Oh, by the way, we're having dinner with Vision and Wanda tonight," he informs me as we walk into the kitchen.

"Tonight?" I ask surprised. He nods and hums in response. "Why, that's impossible. They're celebrating their anniversary tonight," I counteract. We step into the living room and Tony pauses to give me a weird look.

"Anniversary? No, they're having dinner with Vision's boss tonight." My eyes widen at his statement.

"Surely you're mistaken."

"No, Vision invited me a few days ago!" I hover my hand over my mouth.

"Oh, my... I must tell Wanda then," I claim as I pick up the phone.

Tony waves his hand in a dismissing manner. "No, no, I'm sure Vision will have cleared it up by tonight."

🎥🎥🎥

Tony knocks on the door and Wanda opens it a few seconds later. "Yoohoo! I'm back!" I announce.

"And I'm here... for the first time today," Tony chimes in. Wanda chuckles nervously as she covers herself with her hand. Looks like Vision didn't clear anything up. We step inside and Vision dashes over to us.

"Guess who?" he singsongs, standing behind Tony and covering his eyes. Wanda does the same to me.

"Um... John Wayne?" Tony plays along, confused. The couple laughs as they back away from us.

"We were just telling the other guests about the traditional Sokovian greeting of hospitality," Vision tells us.

"Sokovian greet-" I begin asking before cutting myself off. Vision and Wanda give us pleading smiles. "Oh- Oh! Yes, very traditional, very important," I play along.

"Uh, yes. We do this all the time," Tony adds.

Vision's boss looks unamused. "Who are these people?"

"Oh, Mr. Hart and Mrs. Hart, this is Tony Stark and his daughter and my sister-in-law, y/n Stark," Vision introduces us.

"Pleased to make your acquaintance," Tony greets Mr. Hart, shaking his hand. He shakes Mrs. Hart's hand next while I shake the man's hand.

"Oh, it's so lovely to meet you," Mrs. Hart says when she shakes my hand.

"Likewise," I return with a kind grin.

Wanda walks over to the lamp and snatches a piece of fabric from on top of it. "Can I just see you in the kitchen for a moment, sweetheart?" she addresses Vision. She grabs his hand, dragging him away.

"Oh, yes," he squeaks, blowing out a candle on the way there. The rest of us stand in the living room in awkward silence. I glance at the Hart's and notice Mr. Hart glaring at us. I giggle nervously.

"Why don't we sit down while we wait?" I suggest.

"That's a great idea, sweetie," Tony agrees and we all move to the couches. After another minute of silence, I excuse myself to leave.

"Well, I'm going to make sure everything's okay with our hosts," I voice, standing up and speeding into the kitchen.

"Any chance they'd settle for a single chocolate-covered strawberry split three ways?" I hear Wanda speak when I enter.

"Uh..." Vision trails off.

"I might have a better idea," Wanda adds, snapping her fingers. A new dress appears on her.

"Oh, well, in that case, I'll take the strawberry," I say, grabbing it from the plate and biting into it.

🎥🎥🎥

I open the back door and Agnes struts in carrying a pot and various ingredients. "Oh, Agnes, you're a lifesaver!" Wanda exclaims as she spots her.

"Oh, what kind of housewife would I be if I didn't have a gourmet meal for six just lying about the place?" she responds.

I shrug as I approach the two women. "A cool one?" I remark. Agnes just chortles while Wanda frantically takes the items from her.

"Not that Ralph ever wants to eat anything but baked beans... which explains a lot about his personal appeal, mind you," she states. She drops a large pot, which makes a loud clattering sound. "Oh, my!" she yells.

"But I'm sure they're absolutely fine in there!" we suddenly hear Vision yell.

"Oh, thank you, Agnes. I think we've got it covered from here," Wanda mentions, putting her hands on the woman's waist.

"Oh, are you sure, dear?"

"Hm." Wanda nods.

"Many hands make light work and many mouths make good gossip," Agnes comments, smiling smugly.

"You're so naughty!" Wanda notes as she pushes her toward the door. Agnes just laughs.

"Oh, my mouth alone produces enough gossip for all of Westview so we're good on that end!" I claim.

Agnes reaches for the oven and asks, "oh, shall I just preheat the oven then, dear?"

"That won't be necessary," Wanda answers, pulling her to the door.

"Oh, alright then," she responds as Wanda opens the door. Agnes whirls around and walks back into the kitchen. "Well, I know you're in a pinch so this menu can be done in a snap."

Wanda and I rush to her and grab her, leading her to the door again. "Lobster Thermidor with mini-minced meat turnovers to start. Chicken á La King with twice-cooked new potatoes for your second course, and Steak Diane and mint jellies for your main." She slaps her hands together before halting. "Do you set your own jellies, dear?"

"Yes," Wanda replies.

"Good girl!" Agnes expresses. We giggle and push her to the door again. "Recipe cards are on the counter there. Bon appétit!" She finally slips out the door. Wanda chuckles nervously before shutting the door and stepping toward the kitchen again.

"Alright, you know what to do," she tells me before swinging her arms out, making cabinets open and cooking tools fly everywhere. I swing my arms out too and do the same thing. I think we definitely have this covered.
