"And then she threw me out! Can you believe that?!" I pour Andrew another drink. He continues to rant and tell me about his relationship with his ex girlfriend and how it ended. "I mean, how could she just throw me out like that?! I'm ME, I'd wanna date me." I chuckle but don't say anything. The door opens and in walks Norman. I grab another cup and fill it with the same thing as Andrew, but make it a little stronger. Devil Springs Vodka mixed with a little Whiskey and a cherry at the bottom of the glass, just how he likes it. He sits down and I set his drink in front of him. "How you been Norman?" He takes a gulp of his drink and sets it down with a frown. "Not good Jade. Mingus is going off to college in Washington." He drinks the rest of his drink and eats the cherry while I make him another drink. "I'm proud that he wants to go to college but he's gonna be so far away." His expression saddens as he drinks. I sigh and look at Andrew.

"Kids grow up, whether you like it or not Norman." He hums in response and pulls out his pack of cigarettes, lighting one and exhaling some smoke. "I know, but it makes me feel older than I really am." I chuckle and take Andrew's empty glass away from him, seeing that he's falling asleep. "You gonna stay a while longer, or help Andy to his place?" He gulps down the rest of his drink and pops the cherry in his mouth, standing up. "I'll take him home, but I wanna come over to your place tonight afterwards." I give him a smile and take his empty glass off the counter. "I close in 10 minutes. I'm giving you less than 30 to get him home and get back to my place." His eyes darken with lust and passion and he smirks at me. "You always know how to cheer me up. I'll see you at your place." And with that, he picks Andrew up and they leave my bar. Norman and I have been together for almost a year now. The public has no idea that we're seeing each other though. We agreed that keeping it private was the best idea considering he's famous and I'm just a bartender. I sigh and lock up the bar. I get a taxi and tell the driver my apartment building name.

*AT JADE'S APARTMENT*

As soon as I get into my apartment, a wave of sickness hits me. I run to the bathroom, leaving the door open slightly. I get on my hands and knees in front of the toilet and start vomiting. I've been throwing up for about a week now and I have no idea why. I hear the door close and a voice call out for me. "Jade? Baby, you here?" Another wave of sickness hits me and I vomit again, hearing Norman walk closer to the bathroom. He comes into the bathroom and I feel him pull my hair back. "Oh my god, Jade. Are you okay?" I vomit again and he sighs, rubbing my back soothingly. Eventually, I stop throwing up and Norman helps me stand up. We walk into the living room and sit on the couch. "Are you okay? Do you need to see a doctor?" I shake my head and put my hand on my stomach. I look down at my stomach and sigh. "I haven't had my period for 2 months and I've been getting sick for the past week." I start tearing up and bite my lip to stop the tears from escaping. "Norman....I think I'm pregnant."

*1 MONTH LATER*

Norman didn't say anything after I told him I was pregnant. We just sat there for a while until he stood up and said he had to go. I cried after he left and haven't opened the bar or left my apartment. I've been getting texts and call and voicemails from Andrew, Lauren, Melissa and Steven...but none from Norman. I don't answer any of them and Lauren and Steven have come by my apartment to talk to me but I don't let them in. My phone rings and I listen to the jingle until it stops. I pick it up to see who called and see it was Norman. I click his call and listen to the voicemail. "Hey Jade. I don't really know what to say, Andrew and the rest of the cast told me to call you." He paused before he continued and sighed. "I guess I'll start off by saying I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not saying anything after you told me and I'm sorry for walking out on you. I know you probably hate me right now but I need you to open the door." I hear a knock at the door and debate on getting off the couch to get it. I delete the voicemail and set my phone on the table, sitting up and looking at the door.

"Jade baby please. Open the door. I just wanna talk." I sigh and get up, going over to the door and unlocking the locks except the chain. I open the door and look up at Norman. "Baby, please let me in. We can talk about this and I can properly apologize for being an asshole." I shut the door without saying anything and unlock the chain, opening the door and letting him in. I sit on the couch and he shuts the door behind him, walking over to me and sitting next to me. "Look, I'm sorry for being an asshole. I should've handled it better but I was in shock and didn't know what to do. I love you Jade, really I do." He pauses and sighs. "If the public found out that I'm dating someone half my age, they'd flip. Not to mention now...you're pregnant with my child and I have no idea what to tell them. I love Mingus and you know this....if you really want to have this baby then that's great, but a child shouldn't have to grow up with one parent and not the other. It worked out for Mingus but I can't do that to you." He reaches into his pocket and gets down on one knee in front of me. He holds a little box up and looks at me hopefully.

"Jade Lynn Adler, will you do me the honer of making me the happiest man alive and....marry me?" I cover my mouth with my hands and tear up. He opens the box revealing a ring. "Oh my god Norman! Yes, a thousand times YES!" I hug him and he hugs me back. We pull apart and sit back down on the couch. He takes the ring out of the box and puts it on my ring finger.

I grab his face and kiss him passionately and deeply. He kisses back with even more passion and holds me close. We pull apart from the kiss and catch our breath. "I love you Jade." I smile up at him. "I love you too Norman. But one thing you'll have to change whenever this baby is born is your drinking." He chuckles and hugs me a little tighter, pulling me closer into him. "Anything for the love of my life." He kisses the top of my head and we lay down on the couch, me laying on top of him and him hugging me.  I close my eyes and listen to his heart beat. Eventually, I fall asleep with Norman holding me in his arms.
