I woke up with an unsettling feeling in my chest. I barely couldn't sleep with what Andy told me yesterday. "When they tell you it's nothing to worry about, come see me."

When.

When.

Not if.

He took back the word if from his sentence because he was sure. Andy has done this before, surely. He has tried to tell on the kings and yet they still did whatever they wanted.

"Lilac," my mother calls from across the table, "your food's getting cold."

I snap out from my train of thought and look upon my family. My father's on his phone, my brother is devouring his food like a monster, my sister and my mother are having a conversation about unicorns, and my grandmother is looking at me with raised brows.

"Is there something bothering you, darling?" granny asks.

I purse my lips, "Is our principal a good one?"

"Olivia?" my grandmother says who I assume is my principal's name. "I believe she is. Why? Is there something bothering you?"

"... well ..."

As these words trailed of my lips, all eyes on the table turned to me. Periwinkle pouted and blinked, "What's wrong? Why are me looking at Tulila?"

"Because someone's bothering her." Roux narrowed his eyes.

"Someone?" my mother turns from her eldest child to me.

My father knits his brows, nose flaring, "Does this have something to do with that blue car that picked you up?"

"Blue ca- what- no! There was just something I needed to do in school that day! I told you. The driver was Sashka, he lives around here, and he has a twin called Mishka. They're cool."

We had talked about this before. I don't want to stress about it again.

"What were you saying then, Lourdes? What about the principal?"

"Oh, I just wanted to talk to her, is all."

"About what?" my father pressed.

The eyes on my weighed me down. I decided to lie. "Just an event for school. I wanted to consult her to see if it will be good enough."

In my defense, it's half a lie. Because if she doesn't do anything about the kings then I may end up going in a school event.

"Good morning," the red haired principal bids me. I smile and greet her as well.

"What is it you wanted to talk about?"

I clench my jaw and feel a lump in my throat form. I inhale sharply, "Since I started, I have been dealing with.... bullies. To name a few of the things they've done, they took me by my arms and legs and poured vinegar on me in the cafeteria during lunch time."

The woman's expression fell.

I gulped.

"Can you name these--"

"Javier Rosario, Marcus D'Froi, Daniel Lee."

The principal let out  a breath, and shakily nodded. "Alright, I'll get to the bottom of this."

At this point, I had endured Dae-hyun bugging me in history class by kicking my chair ever so often. Javier hadn't been bothering me at all, which was good.

Marcus wasn't in class again, and I recalled again his mom who was so sweet and kind to me.

We had a bunch of projects handed to us in science, and that's apart from all our other subjects.

Whatever, i don't care about Marcus.

His mom is misguided, I...

I growl and mess up my hair in frustration. I owe nothing to Marcus. It's still my decision if I want to help him and he has done nothing to earn this. I focus on anything but this, but the face of Ms. D'Froi's face is clouding my mind, and he sweetness and love for her son is making me dizzy.

FINE. Fine.

The bell rung. I got out of the room. I swear to everything that is good, I should not be helping my-- AAAAAAAAA.

A loud voice boomed against my ear. It was Dae-hyun outside, laughing his head of because he thought he was so funny scaring me like that.

I growled and moved in to punch him.

He was taken aback by my action, but found it even funnier. "Oh, agi (baby in korean), if you want a fist fight, I'll give it to you."

I scoffed, "Actually, just give this to your boyfriend, Marcus." I handed him a piece of paper and then stormed off.

Dae-hyun looked at it and saw it was a list of assignments. "YA!"

The Korean was then in front of me, and his playful look was no longer present. "Why are you helping Marcus?"

I huffed and swerved, "His mom asked me to."

I marched off, but my arm was pulled back, "YA! WAE!"

I whined and turned to him, pulling my arm, "Stop doing that!"

He narrowed his eyes in anger. I scoffed, "We did a project together and his mom thinks I'm a good influence. Happy?"

"He's not my friend," Dae-hyun barks, throwing the paper to the floor and turning away. I growl in frustration and snatch the paper from the floor, "WHATEVER YOU MORON!"

Dae-Hyun stops in his tracks and turns back at me. I stare at him and glare. It was my turn to turn away.

"What a damn psycho." Dae-hyun says along with a curse under his breath.

I see a curly head of hair and I realize it's Javier. I run up to him and call his name. He turns to me and I immediately hand him the piece of paper.

"Give this to Marcus."

"Marcus?" Javier scoffed, "Why?"

"Because--" I grab his hand, "--I said so."

I try to leave, but Javier stops me, "what do I get in return, bonita?"

I whip my head to him and sneer, "You become a good person you snake."

Javier frowns, and for a moment I feel bad. Hold on, what's happening. Why was I feeling bad? The kings are bullies. They bullied me. Why was I helping Marcus, asking favors from Javier? This isn't right.

"You know what, forget it." I say and snatch the paper from him.

Javier snatches it back, "No you're right." He shrugs, "I'll give it to him." With that he walks away.
