Have you noticed that the more time you spend with God, the more you begin to understand the depths of His love? Like the Psalmist, I find myself coming back for more of His unfailing love, sure of the salvation that is mine in Jesus! God's love for us is so clearly seen throughout the whole Bible, culminating in the gift of Jesus!

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Receiving this wonderful promise of love, our future is secure —our relationship and fellowship with our Heavenly Father is set! We can come to Him day after day and enjoy His presence knowing that we have everything we need! We just need to trust in His Word!

"May your unfailing love come to me,
Lord, your salvation, according to your promise;
then I can answer anyone who taunts me,
for I trust in your word.
Never take your word of truth from my mouth,
for I have put my hope in your laws.
I will always obey your law, for ever and ever.
I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts.
I will speak of your statutes before kings
and will not be put to shame,
for I delight in your commands
because I love them.
I reach out for your commands, which I love,
that I may meditate on your decrees."
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:41-48‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I love how the Psalmist is assured that with God's unfailing love, he is prepared for anyone who comes against him, who 'taunts' him. Can you relate to that? Have you experienced people provoking you, challenging your beliefs? How blessed we are that we can always go to God's Word for the truth, and we will not be put to shame as we continue to meditate on it and delight in it. We can continue to walk in freedom and trust in it, despite the opinions of others.

The Psalmist is even confident to speak of God's statutes or written word, before Kings! He knew it so well, from beginning to end. He trusted in the Word and was compelled to reach out for God's commands —he loved them! They spoke volumes of God's love and compassion over him!

How blessed are we that we have God's entire Word to us, the New Testament as well as the Old! As we read it all, we are constantly reminded of His love and continual presence in our lives. In all situations, even difficult ones when we are waiting for answers to prayer and experiencing all sorts of hardships —we have great assurance that God will graciously give us what we need. Paul reminds us that absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ! Through all the troubles we face, we are more than conquerors!

"....If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:31-39‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Pray:

Heavenly Father,

I am so thankful for Your Word! May Your love continue to overwhelm me as I read it. Thank You for sending Jesus to be my Saviour and thank You for always keeping Your promises.

I never want to forget Your truth. I will meditate on it and observe Your laws throughout the day. I will walk with You in complete freedom, as I seek to follow every one of Your commands. My passion and delight is in Your Word Lord and I love what you say to me each day! I long for more revelation of Your truth. Please keep illuminating Your Word to me and speaking love over me. Thank You that nothing can separate me from Your love and I am more than a conqueror in Jesus! I love You so much!

In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
