Bright's POV

"Here are the notes from yesterday," I say as I hand my friends copies of the notes I took yesterday. None of them made it to class. I didn't think they would, considering how they left the bar the day before.

"How the hell did you make it to class yesterday?" Tutah groans. "I thought I was going to die. When did I get this old? Hangovers were never this bad before."

"I don't know; I just did," I shrug. "I don't have a nong to pamper me."

"Pfft," Arthit scoffs. "Pamper? Whatever."

We turn when we hear someone running up behind us. N'Kongpop stands panting before he hands Arthit a thermos and leaves.

"Pamper? Whatever?" I repeat, laughing at a blushing Arthit. "Tell me another lie."

"Did N'Kongpop scold you yesterday?" Knott asks Arthit. He shakes his head.

"N'Tew?" Arthit asks back.

"No," Knott hums, looking at Tutah and Prem. Catching on, they both shake their head no.

"I thought for sure I would get yelled at," Arthit sighs. "After I gave him so much crap the time he got drunk."

"Me, too," Knott puts in. "He hasn't even brought it up. He checked on me in between classes yesterday but never said a word."

"Anyone remember how we made it back to our dorms?" Prem asks.

"I have a vague memory of a cab," Arthit mumbles, "And for some strange reason, I remember P'Dear."

"It was our usual bar," Tutah contemplates, "Maybe the bar called P'Dear. He was the one who used to drag our asses home during the first two years."

"Hey, how have your nongs been acting?" I ask as I try to tug Arthit's collar to check his neck. I remember when he pulled his shirt up at the bar. I wonder if I should yank it off and check.

"Stop that," Arthit barks, slapping my hand. "Kong hasn't come near..."

I watch as my friend starts to overthink things. I am going to kill my nongs. It is evident by how these four are acting; they are still not talking to their boyfriends. They may have stopped their crazy antics, but now their inaction without explanation is causing a whole other type of mental meltdown.

"You don't think I told him off, do you?" Arthit asks us. "Shit! It is fvcking Valentine's next week, and I pissed off my boyfriend!"

"Calm down, Ai'Oon," I sigh.

"I know I am kind of freaked out by how N'Tew is acting," Knott agrees. "At least when he was giving me rules, I sort of knew what he was thinking. Now I am confused."

"Wad is overly nice, too," Prem offers. "Do you think I said something to him when I got to the dorm?"

"What about N'Jett, Ai'Tutah," Knott asks, looking at my friend.

"I don't know how to explain it," Tutah sighs. "But I am like you Ai'Prem. I keep wondering if I called him or something while I was drunk."

"Where are you going?" Tutah questions when I stand up.

"I need to talk to someone," I say as I wave over my shoulder.

"Why don't you just say you are going to pick up a girl?" Prem yells at me.

Because I am not, idiot, I am going to pound some sense into your boyfriends. I guess N'Aim's little speech that day hasn't set them straight yet. Pulling out my phone, I message him.
