This was something I really wanted to work on for a few days. Since Katherine is a Guardian who rides on a Himalayan Snow Goose, I thought she would wear something that would go for her adventure travels. So I made this. It was a combination between the books and a dress-up game I was playing. The white feather on her ear was a small touch that could be either a quill pen to write in her journal or just a stylish accessory that goes with her Mother Goose reputation. The goggles are used for air-born flying on Kailash or another ride.
Also, on May 2nd, it will be the 9-year anniversary of a famous writer's, illustrator's, and filmmaker's daughter who has passed away from a brain tumor at the age of 18: Mary Katherine Joyce. A Guardian Fierce and True, as William Joyce described to remember her. May she always be remembered for all of us to keep on following our dreams.
