Josh's POV:

Time stopped - it honestly did.

I don't think I've ever experienced a feeling like this. It was so pure and exhilarating. It was just incredible.

I thought we weren't going to make it, but we did, and it wouldn't surprise me if at the end of all this I got a fine for speeding. We ran out of the car and straight to the wedding hall, pulling on our suits and ties whilst we ran. Mixed greetings were exchanged when we reached the alter, some guests annoyed that the wedding was running over half an hour late, others just happy to see us there.

Debby walked in not long after us, giving us the look of 'get ready' before nodding to someone at the end of the room next to the double doors. Grabbing a hold of Eric's shirt, I didn't let him leave my side. He should be standing up there next to Liv and me when we get married. To be perfectly honest after everything that has happened I couldn't have it any other way.

And then, just like that the doors opened.

I watched in awe as Livia, eyes screwed shut, let out a small breath, her lips trembling clearly nervous. Then she opened them. Her crystal eyes met with my bland brown and I swear in that moment my heart stopped.

I would've quite happily died there and then. She is so beautiful.

The rest of room wasn't there. Family friends staff - none of them.

I didn't realise I was walking until I had reached her. Her hand met my cheek, wrapping her fingers round the nape of my neck as I did with her. I didn't have to reach down to pull her lips to mine as she met me half way, clearly just as desperate to make up for the loss of contact we've not had over these last two days. Her lips were soft, just like they've always been. Breaking away I run the pad of my thumb across her bottom lip, wet from our kiss and a small tear that had marked her cheek.

Her lips begin to move against my thumb as she whispers the words that always make heart race, as if I’m hearing them for the first time. "I love you. So much"

"I love you too"

Livia's POV:

"It was so beautiful" my mum gushes, pulling me into what seem like the twentieth hug this evening. Sniffling into my shoulder she pulls away, smiling effortlessly. "We're all so so proud of you Livy, the both of you"

"Thank you mum" I smile, feeling my face fluster. One thing I've found from this whole wedding experience is that I'm not very good at taking compliments.

As soon as I opened my eyes I met Josh’s’, and I swear in that moment I - I can't even begin to describe that feeling. Lucy made fun of me for the rest of the evening as I practically ran down the isle, which is extremely embarrassing. Sam kept on trying to reassure me it wasn't that bad as Josh had started walking towards me as well.

I didn't even notice. I was so enchanted in the moment; needing that closeness that we've not had in a while. I guess my heart took over my brain (and self- restrain) and started to control my body...

The actual wedding was a blur. All I know is that Lucy stood beside me whilst Connor and Eric stood beside Josh, and in that moment I don't think I could've been more happy.

Not to mention Josh in a suit...

The room started to get too warm for my liking, so before I get sucked into another conversation with a distant relative with the subject based around "my extraordinary beauty" I excuse myself.

Not so perfect but is love enough? (SEQUAL) COMPLETEDWhere stories live. Discover now
